So SP2 is backwards compatible with SP1?
Does this mean that parts from SP2 are going to be the same as parts in SP1? Because personally I thing a lot of components need some updates, such as significantly more customisability with gauges, buttons, and seats. And rim szes and tyre thickness needs to be customisable and adjustable on all wheel types. Plus the ability to procedurally adjust the number of polygons on fuselage blocks and spheres is a must. I cam already see that you're adding textures to fuselages though. YAY!!!!
.
Speaking of which, can I suggest some textures, since SP also involves vehicles that are from the past? I would personally recommend adding a fabric stitching or carbon fibre texture, also a wood texture, and also a noise texture, so you can make rough surfaces like concrete or make things look fuzzy or generically worn textured. Also, any chance we could make our own decals so we don't need to rely on using incredibly inefficient text parts to make our decorations?
.
Also the designer seems to be the same? I personallly prefer the SP designer over the SR2 designer, but I still think a lot of the UI and locations of things needs to be changed to make it more ergonomic. I have a friend who's been playing SP occasionally over the past several years and he still comes to me asking where certain things are. I still think there should be quick buttons on the right that that you can get to pretty much everything using just 1 or 2 clicks like it is now, but I think the number of buttons, what's under those menus and the locations of certain things definitely needs some changing. So please tell me the countless designer bugs will be fixed in this new game PLEASE!
.
And Major Chadington, I think it's really important that we're able to adjust the location of his hands, feet, knees, elbows, how much his waist is bent and his head position to make him properly able to fit in everything. My biggest gripe with Jundroo New Oranges is the astronaut is it's stuck at such an awkward, rigid shape that it doesn't fit in a single one of my crafts without its legs going through the floor, it's unusually wide shoulders clipping through the sides of my plane, or it's most inconveniently shaped chair clipping through the floor.
.
Also, you guys HAVE TO redesign how funky trees works. Every time I think about having to programme things in SP it puts me off because one spelling error or one forgotten bracket can screw the entire thing up. Please I AM BEGGING YOU, DO NOT use Funky Trees in SP2!!!
.
And finally, is the map being made by actual map developers or just you guys? I'm asking this because... SP1's major downfall is how god awful and useless the default map is... and it would be great if SimplePlanes wasn't just a building game, but more of a flying game aswell. I think adding a professionally made, feature packed map would be a major upgrade over SP1.
.
Anyway, I'm REALLY excited for this. It's looking like everything I've wanted from SP! YEAH!!!!
You can adjust the spring strength by adjusting the slerpSpring. You can also make active suspension by giving them an input, and you can make it so they're pre-loaded by setting them to an input like 1 in the designer in the axis of rotation.
You can also make them significantly stronger than normal rotators by increasing the positionSpring and positionMaximumForce
Rotational inirtia on many builds is INSANELY overpowered causing builds to be unable to change direction
Here is a list of builds with this bug: Miro 103 Solo Duo Discus Kea Cessna 182 (This one seems to move a bit on the roll axis though so I suspect it's an individual assembly on a rotator somewhere...) Takahe
Okay this affects way more builds than I expected...
Generally when I'm feeling bored of everything, going for a walk or an adventure for a day completely resets my mood.
Plus, when you go for a walk, you can let your mind wonder freely. Generally you can think of things to do or what you feel like, and if you think that won't be enough to keep you entertained, I reccomend taking some music and a camera and taking pics of cool things you see.
I also know a few people who were in a slump who hit the gym and that brought them out of their depression. It's kinda a meme but it genuinely works.
Idk just some suggestions. There really is no medicine like exercise! Especially when you feel yourself gaining fitness lol
Last night I had a dream that I was racing down a beach in a dakar rally SUV and I came second, then we all headed out towed by a C-17 with trailers attached and I was watching from a mansion next to the airport where I got my trophy, and 10 seconds after it took off I realised that trailers aren't ment to work like this, and all the trailers decoupled and all the cars and the people in them fell into the ocean. Idk what to make of this.
Oh, in 3 years? You might have heard of the German Corsair, alos SPVR came out, there's better parts and glass and fuselage cutting to make building cockpits easier, um... yeah
SP actually kinda does this already. It beaks the plane up into sections between rotators, detaches, wings, and all parts that rotate or have wiggly connections. Each section is basically grouped together into one piece of physics, which is why when you make a palne but don't have any moving parts or wings on it, it doesn't rotate or anything when you start on a final approach location.
The most disappointing thing about 2022 is the Nike 1 was never released. Thr GT4 player in me is immeasurably disappointed and my year has been ruined.
Nah I disagree with the thirds rule for making a thumbnail. While in regular photography it is useful for leading your eye around the picture, with a thumb nail, you want the object to be filling as much space in the frame as possible in order for details to be as easy as possible to see on the plane.
.
Although, the 3rds technique is useful when taking screenshots for the description.
I made a couple of accounts before I was 13 but when I made them I forgot the passwords immediately, and never made any comments on them. I also forgot the password to this one until about 6.5 years ago, but I was 13 then so yay. I've basically been playing this game ever since it came out lol.
I know I'm a curator, but I barely ever download other people's builds (until I was appointed to be one for some reason), so I don't really have have favourite build that's someone else's. My favourite build that I've made is probably a juggle between my Cessna 180, My Scout Weka, and my Scout Kea.
Raisin bread!
PC/iOS
It's fun, and pretty much everyone here is nice. I'm still highly active here after almost 7 years lol

SP Wiki is not gospel and is written by players with opinions, so take everything with a grain of salt lol
+4You can tell the devs for SP are also space nerds lol
+4@ShirakamiShimada whether it does or not is up to you guys lol
+4You can upvote planes while having 0 points in SPVR
+4Simply the most beautiful and holy creation the SP site has ever had the privilege to witness
+4Try uploading a lot less and focus on improving your building skills if you want your individual builds to get more upvotes.
+4Try not to loose your sanity in the process lol
+4I think I just counted 7 a total of pixels in the thumbnail lol

+4Nice! Cool little modernisation of a mod that really should be in the stock game lol

bruh idk what this is, all I understand is bananas and washing machines
+4@BogdanX skill issue lol
+4The ice base would not even blink before breaking the the Geneva convention if any object came within 10 miles of their missile launchers
+4The Blueprints
+4Playing SimplePains for 8 years has destroyed my posture
+4What were you doing with the soy sauce in your bed g
+4Guys I'm leaving

+4The train looks awesome! But are you sure those tanks aren't too small?
+4Curved reducer block probably lol
+4I was expecting a wall of text, but instead I got a picture with a wall of text in it.
+4Honestly I'm not sure whether to be happy or diappointed lol
guys, if you say "me first", this guy will upvote all of your builds.
+4I'm not saying it cause I have plenty of points lol
Just counted 781,169 planes on the site @IceCraftGaming
+4CHEEKS 💀💀💀
+4no it's not you liar
+4Ain't the longest wait we've ever had...
+4Or you could just use blender and make planes for X Plane
+4@NotFoundAviator I think a lot of people have a bug with the tail rotor as a propeller. I need to do a remaster with this.
+41 out of 10 no electronic warfare tag
+46 months ain't that long for SP

Disturbing mouse
+4'Tis true
+4Seriously who actually are you though?
+4Car go wroom, but car go space?
+4Daym, SP3 coming even before SP2! Exciting!
+4@X99STRIKER Unfortunately no, only the points after we curate it count (which is kinda unfair tbh :/ )
+4Curated means it wors in VR and is verified by one of us with a green tag (not too special except you get double upvote points)
+4@rexzion Shhhhhhhhhh
+4@IceCraftGaming Yes sir :D
+4On track to earning the same number of points as I earned yesterday :)
+4Jk, good on ya buddy ;)
Either that, or ⛔ airlines
+4Relatable
