The forums was introduced for teasers, help, basically anything simpleplanes. Not for daily life things.
I understand the off topic tag exists but nobody cares if your cat ate your water heater.
Thats just a joke but it helps put into perspective how off topic things can get.

-Well known user
-Active
I see so many of these forums being posted, all by bronze users or users less than bronze.
Its annoying and repetitive.
I understand people have friends, but it can be explained in your bio.
People often check bio's of inactive users for more info.
SimplePlanes shouldn't be your life and you don't need to post everyday.
You don't need to post if you're leaving.
The meme forums
Some meme forums are actually funny.
Some, not so much.
Don't post a forum unless its a good idea.
It clogs up forums.
Asking for help then not replying
What is the point of posting the forum if you're not gonna look at it for the next two months?
Once, I was browsing forums.
I saw a "help" forum.
I used my knowledge of building to help.
I requested to be tagged on an unlisted post to check the problem.
They didn't reply for another month.
Stop treating this place like Reddit.
The website may have some things similar to Reddit, but that doesn't mean it needs to be treated as such.
Like I said earlier, you don't need to inform us about anything that goes on in your life.
Some things, are relevant to SimplePlanes.
Other things, are not.
If you're going to post a forum, please make it about something relevant to SimplePlanes.
The amount of forums that I would've seen on Reddit is amazing.
I don't want to point fingers, so no forums will be mentioned.

Its annoying to see, and I hope this forum will make people understand that the SimplePlanes website isn't Reddit, posting "im leaving" every thirty minutes isn't gonna get you attention, and to stop with the cringey meme posts.

I also saw the act of uploading the same build over and over again, deleting it, and uploading it again the next day (the same thing almost every day).
Personally, I think this is an act of covering up the wonderful work of other builders.
I belong to a strange person too, but there seem to be a lot of strange people.
These creators might have some fans, or at least some friends, and these fans/friends might wonder why said creator is inactive and begin to ask questions. The result: make a “I’m leaving” post publicly in the forums so their fans/friends won’t have ask them their whereabouts. But yeah, I get the point.

Depends. Memes considered “funny” usually come from life experiences. However, most memes created by Generation Z are liable to be branded as “unfunny” for their incomprehensible nature.

The main reason, I suspect, why some people are treating this like Reddit is because the community was grown from Reddit in first place (remember r/simpleplanes?).
Now for the “basically what I see” section: The first one might need more explanation as the description is confusing, only mentioning that their television had a “stroke”. The second one might result in backlash for faking your departure. The third one might be considered to be too far off topic and may be removed by the moderators for this reason (see the rules for more info).
