Damn indeed. Redone engines, new wings (I believe), new landing gear, repositioned windows, and possibly work done on drag to improve efficiency to more realistic levels.
Gets tiring. Game starts to lag, people are dipshits, and usually get bullied by UFOs and 6th gens.
Piloting and driving too bad to compete as well, so there’s very little I can do.
@Bugati87 One car is removed, so you destroy the entire train? What a tantrum.
@Boeing727200F Yeah. That giant MS took a lot of pixels.
@LunarEclipseSP I feel like those should be the other way around…
@Boeing727200F Going? Typo? And yes, it seems it only hit the train. Your train.
@LunarEclipseSP Not the first time they've done this. In the past they did the same with my steam locomotive-turned-flatcar.
@SuperSuperTheSylph Some people say that polio isn't a problem because it's mostly disappeared.
It has only ceased to be a problem because it was taken seriously - and may rise again should caution not be taken!
Remain vigilant! Don't let cooties spread!
@Griffon1 Remaster is too expensive though. They wouldn't bother, in all likelihood.
The issue is that the OG islands are just plain unrealistic. Wright island makes no sense from a geographic perspective.
Trying to make them look the same as the new ones? THAT would clash. Leaning into the differences would be better IMO.
@32 Hey! The demo came out first!
And is it really a "gender war" when some participants don't have a gender? I mean, I'm literally a rock. We have no need for such concepts.
@LunarEclipseSP I disagree. While I suppose it could be cool, seeing the places remade, it'd violate the first point (very little extra development cost) which would reduce the chances they'd actually go through with it.
I'd rather have them at all than have the condition that they be remastered. Also because throwing Chad into Suicide Trench would be fun.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover I'm convinced that explosives and weapons in general are far too powerful. A bomb anywhere near you will completely wreck everything in the area. That's to say nothing of getting randomly blown up by passing dogfighters.
Perhaps health should automatically scale with size so large planes aren't so vulnerable to a couple bullets?
@SuperSuperTheSylph They're worth it if you're the kind of person who enjoys sleeping.
@HudDistance Without showing appreciation for Ra the Sun God!? Preposterous!
@SuperSuperTheSylph I never even joined it. I have no idea how I ended up in it I the first place.
@LunarEclipseSP Indeed. Didn’t see the hospital though.
@Boeing727200F One, you forgot an ‘A’ in there. Two, what?
@LunarEclipseSP Yeah, shit sucks.
Isolation is a blessing.
Quesnel seems okay, but perhaps we'd best keep a distance just to be sure; it's a lot larger than Barkerville and actually shows up on the map.
Hear that @Boeing727200F? Don't stray too close to Quesnel with your train; I'd rather avoid some outsider dipshit paying us a visit, especially with my own artwork and designs present.
@TriggerMiku Looking up what that means, that seems exceedingly unhelpful at actually seeing small/distant things - the whole point of high resolutions.
@TriggerMiku Frame generation is one of the biggest wastes of processing power the tech industry has turned out in a long time.
Congratulations, you're spending electricity on hallucinations.
@Randomplayer Exactly as I suspected.
@Boeing727200F What did you expect? The devs aren’t stupid, especially when everyone is loudly announcing their intention to try to escape.
Well, that seems a bit extreme.
Somewhere like SimplePlanes.com is probably one of the best places for someone to get their introduction to online interaction.
Other social media sites being 16+ makes more sense; those places can be utterly vile.
@pobondo I see. If I must be blunt, I didn’t notice a difference beyond being less direct.
And, I beg your pardon? What do you mean “bypass inappropriate images”?
MDA? Well well, that is not a name I have heard in a very long time.
Say, whatever happened to M-War II? Did that ever reach a true conclusion, or did it merely fizzle out?
Man, they sure talk a lot about wings. What is this, a plane game?
Not only that, but the blur properly adapts to the current properties of your propeller like the shape, RPM, or pitch!
Does that include drag? Can drag be increased/reduced on a propeller by altering pitch?
new XML properties that let you customize parts of the motion blur’s behaviour
I assume this means blue can be made extreme or turned off if necessary.
Seeing as the propeller in the first gif is the WWII propeller engine, I assume these changes work retroactively even with the old propeller parts. Speaking of which, I wonder if we'll get a Dev update on engines...
In SP1 the whole wing would abruptly stall at once,
Don't we know it...
perhaps with a bit more proficiency than they realistically should unless we make the physics even more advanced later down the line,
On one hand, realism is good because it's nice to know your plane would actually work if built. On the other hand, I hope this won't result in loads of planes suddenly becoming useless as their wings get nerfed into the ground.
As this is inherently an abstract force that is hard to observe, we’ve added a nifty visualizer to see the lift and drag forces coming from your wings.
Hell yes, this is soooooo necessary. So many forces were next to impossible to balance because it was impossible to figure out what they were.
As an aside, having percentages on the VTOL/TRIM/new "flaps" slider(?) is very good to have, though I'd wish there was a way to further increase precision since 1/100s aren't always enough.
You know those little trails you often see coming from the wings of all sorts of planes?
Ah yes, the War Thunder aircraft equivalent of a rock band in a submarine.
Using the spanwise flow model Nicky developed, we can have wingtip vortices that actually take the physical characteristics of your wing into account
Does that mean wingtip devices will work? Will they be functional (i.e. reduce drag)?
Damn indeed. Redone engines, new wings (I believe), new landing gear, repositioned windows, and possibly work done on drag to improve efficiency to more realistic levels.
