On performance: it ran @Squirrel’s AS-AC-10 (remembering that name right?) seemingly better than my Mac. Granted, my Mac is a few years old. 2019, iirc.
@TheMouse I’d appreciate that, but I warn you: when I say “thrown together” I mean it.
Flies horribly, very slow. Maybe a better engine and more time could’ve done it, but as-is it doesn’t work well. Actually didn’t even fire the gun… it doesn’t hit a hitbox, does it?
Basically just texted if it took off and if it lost control in turns. Probably could’ve done some better balancing (this is the first craft on this account to use mass offset in Overload at all), but I was in a rush and just wanted to throw something out.
@TheMouse In summary:
2021, coming back from a trip. Before hitting the terminal stopped by an antique/surplus/whatever the hell it was store. Picked up a 75mm M75 shot in a banged-up case.
Came home. Propped it upright on carpet. My laptop was on the ground near it. The 75mm tipped over on the carpet, bringing over 6 kilograms of hardened steel down on the thing like a hammer.
Only two days later did I turn it on and realise that a laptop can be totalled without the outer plastic of the screen being broken. Only looking closely could you see the screen was shattered while off.
600 rush emergency purchase, ended up with a piece of crap that couldn't run a thing except Portal. I think? I think I ran Portal on that one and not the now-smashed one?
@Majakalona I have the old sound app on DSi.
There's a sound clip on there that is beyond my comprehension. I don't know where it came from, all I know of is that it's ancient.
@TheMouse I never played SimplePlanes on my old laptop.
After my old(er) one was lost in an accident (did I ever tell you that story? The one with the tank round?) I found my now-old one unable to play Sprocket. This one can, supposedly, but the game has changed so damn much it's frankly intimidating.
@TheMouse i5. Some 3050 or whatever the hell that means. I was mostly concerned by VRAM. My old laptop (which is broken so that moving it risks issues) had an i3-11numbersnumbersnumbers and only 128mb of listed VRAM, but apparently if it's that little it actually has none at all?
As I said, not at all high-end.
@TheMouse Some HP gaming thing. Costed about, eh, 13-14 hundred dollars?
Not USD.
Nothing high-end, of course. No idea what it's actually capable of, haven't done anything more than the tutorial.
@HuskyDynamics01 So kinda like what I do with forums?
And you gave me the early impression of an old person but in a different way than @NoName818181818181
@TheUltimatePlaneLover ye
The set rolls horribly. Always catching on something inside. Reverse doesn't seem to be as bad, but tanks don't usually travel in reverse, now do they?

@MrSilverWolf okay I suppose.
@Monarchii Here’s a lemon 🍋
Throws it into hole
Go get it.
@Monarchii thank you for the input, Monarchii. Very cool.
@TheMouse it does make a great story though!
@TheMouse I’d appreciate that, but I warn you: when I say “thrown together” I mean it.

@Majakalona that’s the thing… I can’t describe it.
+1It’s a mystery.
@LunarEclipseSP awww you changed it?
+1It was funny!
It was funny anyways. @Majakalona could be totally innocent and it’d still be funny.
@TheMouse Rapid anime girl crawled into Monarchii’s [REDACTED]. I don’t think they ever too my advice to go to the hospital.
@Monarchii I prefer Mars Bars
Badum-tss!
@Monarchii wait, I thought the crows fermented into ethanol?
@BYardley The battery is killing me
+1@TheMouse That was less than fun
+1@Majakalona Ummm... imagine a chicken learning to talk like a human?
+1I JUST downloaded this thing. First download on the new laptop.
+1@Majakalona look in the back lmao
@Noob101 There's a "can I run it" site. Unfortunately it doesn't have Juno, only SimpleRockets 2 which I don't trust to be in-date.

@Noob101 i5 Core, "Geforce RTX". Neither very good. Old laptop didn't have a GPU at all, 'twas integrated.
+1@Majakalona I play SP on my Mac using Steam. This, however, is a different account. Reasons I won't get into, passwords and stuff.

But you're welcome I guess
It is literally stock.
It's been stock for YEARS.

@Dracul0Anderson Having the slightest bit of realism.
Things are more satisfying from an idea perspective if they make some semblance of sense.
@Noob101 Oh yeah here:
🖕
@Majakalona What?
+1This is like the multi-page conversations I have with Monarchii.
But across sites.
Weird.
@Monarchii
@TheMouse
@Randomplayer
@Speedhunter cornpops
Linux as a whole or just those "mint" and "Ubuntu" things?
I've heard that Linux is a more customizable OS, but other than that I'm clueless.
what are these Linux things?
@CrestelAeronautics Hm. That's being rather generous.
@FOXHOUND26 ?
@Monarchii ...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Did you ever get her removed anyhow?
+1Ever waddle on over to that hospital?
@Monarchii
+1Anime Girl O <[REDACTED]
.........AnimeOGirl
....................O Anime Girl
@Monarchii No
Tanks and planes and cars and stuff
Very cool
@TheUltimatePlaneLover That would be a nightmare.
+2That set is over 1000 pieces and has internal bits.
@LM0418 It's a true story, like, for real.
I actually saw that. Pinky promise.
... I mean, I don't have pinkies but you get the idea.
@TalonTheCRTguy It's my corner.
what
or whatever they're called
@HuskyDynamics01 So kinda like what I do with forums?
+1And you gave me the early impression of an old person but in a different way than @NoName818181818181
hm
Pardon, a Linux what? I have zero familiarity or knowledge with Linux.
@TheMouse Oh, great. Then here's the footage:
