Ugh… I hate this week. Wanna know why? Listen up.
YESTERDAY(THREE DAYS AGO), a random package showed up at my house, out of nowhere, with my name on it. I DID NOT ORDER ANYTHING, AND I DEFINITELY DID NOT WANT TO ORDER SH¥T WHEN I’M BROKE!!! But nope, there it was. Addressed to me.
My mom kept yelling at me nonstop since that package arrived, and my big bro walked into my room mocking me like,
“Bastard… I know it was you.”
That’s what I was screaming in my head, at least.
And yup, you know why I’m pissed? Tch. My lunch, which is usually kinda decent, got downgraded to straight-up prison food.
Okay fine, tomatoes aren’t that bad since I like them 😋
Anyway, about that package… you know what?
IT WAS JUST THIS STUPID THING?!?!?!?!
I mean, yeah, I actually like it. Not even sure what it’s called, latiao maybe? And honestly, it tastes good.
But my first reaction opening the box was like,
“What tf is this?! THIS is what made my mom yap for 72 hours straight?!”
Whatever. Forget it. I might snap tomorrow.
So don’t piss me off again.

@Monarchii Uhmm yeah, I at least know that Tahu is similar to Tofu but a little more savory and less good to eat without being cooked first. Unlike Tofu, which is better even if not cooked first, I like to eat it with peanut sauce..
@Yatata77 oh that sounds good actually, I quite like soybean-based food... mainly cause I'm Indonesian and it's odd if you don't see Tempe(a.k.a soybean cake... it's not a cake, it's just called that in English which is terrible) or Tahu(translation: tofu) in any form whether fried, stewed, or many other ways of serving
@Monarchii Basically, it's made from soybeans and made from the same process, even one process with two outputs that I think are delicious.

I'm interested in trying it again, BUT IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE so maybe next time, or make it myself..
@Monarchii I looked it up on the internet, apparently it's like another form during the tofu-making process.
Where the water sediment becomes Tofu, the top of the water that has a thin layer will thicken over time, and that part is lifted and dried. So I think it's actually non-meat.. But who knows, many traditional Chinese seasonings tend to use lard to add flavor. And the Latiao flavor I tried yesterday seemed to contain a little animal fat.. (?)
