and some basic photography principles such as composition are both pretty huge. The images are bugged on that second link but you should still be able to get the gist.
Dang bro, I remember when you were a bronze rank yapping about some creepypasta and nobody really knew what to do with it. Here we are, both platinum except you have almost double my points. Congratulations on the journey
@Graingy
okey dokey then,
1. It doesn't save any data beyond things that you manually enter (i.e mod name, your username, etc.) and stuff like date created. You can also scrub typical file metadata like date created with some website or something if you're paranoid.
2. Basically if you get the title of the mod wrong when you're starting to make it you can't change it.
3. Yeah you just have to drop a link to a google drive, dropbox, or similar. The site can host files if they're small (iirc its anything under 2 mb) but most mod maps will be above that limit. If you're paranoid about this, set up a google drive account with a burner email from like emailondeck or something.
4. Nothing has changed to my knowledge, you do need a specific version of unity but that should be available for download.
It is actually super easy to do.
I made a tutorial a while back that should give you the information you need , here's a link https://www.simpleplanes.com/Videos/View/1918683/SimplePlanes-modding-tutorial
Also I know your hardware is very much capable of this, I used to use a laptop that I know for a fact is significantly worse than what you use.
(also holy crap my voice was so high pitched back then)
I'm not active anymore but I would be happy to answer any questions if you need help with it
It looks great but that saturation is way too high. Try toning it back a little bit. That last picture looks quite good except for how weirdly dark the plane is. If this were a night/sunset shot it would be perfect but direct daylight is weird. Gives off crusty vibes on what are otherwise very well put-together images. I would like to compliment the framing and composition of these screenshots, that's one part of your skills that I have seen improve quite a bit.
@GhostMach appreciate the respect! I don't do autotags, if you'd like to receive an alert when I post a mod or aircraft you can follow me, I know that seeing all the spotlights and stuff in your jet stream can be annoying but you can filter by things from your followed people. As for forum posts, I'd just recommend keeping your eye out, I don't post often at all so if you just happen to check my profile every couple months you probably won't miss anything lol
The builds you have right now are great for a bronze level player, keep at it and you'll be platinum in no time!
you need 100 points for it to work, I gave you an updoot so you should be able to now, photos should be emdedded like this:
whatever you do make sure that the image link has an extension (like .JPEG or .PNG) at the end, you can use a site like postimage to host your images.
@CatdogAerospace biblically speaking, karma isn't really a thing. God's not up there going "plus one point for helping a lady across the street, minus one for stealing a cookie from the jar". Sin is sin, a barrier that divides people from God, and good works are an expression of faith in God as well as a commitment to follow Him. If bad things are brought on by bad things people have done, why did Job suffer? He was a righteous guy and didn't do anything wrong. I can't tell you why this terrible thing happened, but I will say it's not because of anything he has done.
27 hours is wild, I mean don't get me wrong it looks amazing but for a sub-300 part build the time spent is crazy
although if you mean you finished 27 hours after you started this is actually quite impressive.
@rimiha I'll try and access the islands, I know the meshes are in the mod tools but I'm not sure if there's texture. I'll do my best and see what I can come up with. I do know how to grab the depthmap and there's actually a google drive link to the wright island one, so here's the link to that while I try to get those screenshots. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NJLSKYuSfY9hZa9bLnYtyzuqBQgeirgl/view?usp=share_link
z axis would be useful for some applications, if you could get a depthmap of the different islands you could pretty easily translate that into coordinates on the z level. I think Unity might be the place to get screenshots of the map, although finding a way to set the view distance very high then set the FOV to be pretty narrow might work.
If you need someone to mess around in Unity I would for sure be willing to try, but my skills are very limited and it might work better to get something to hand draw everything to scale with the depthmap image or something like that.
@StockPlanesRemastered yeah this plane doesn't fly all that well or have an interior which by modern standards makes it extremely mediocre, but then you realize that this was made without a lot of the features we use this day. What an absolutely legendary player, shame he deleted his account.
@Dissent3R 2 reasons I doubt it will get taken down:
1: you could already steal builds, since the game had to be running an aircraft file anyway it was somewhere on your computer anyway and there was probably some way you could access it anyway.
2. The multiplayer mod is an unofficial addition to the game and they don't actually moderate it or anything.
3. plus there are ways to steal unlisteds anyway, the site doesn't verify accessing links anyway so it's very much possible to access people's unlisteds without them knowing.
@YarisSedan ok I'll be totally honest, I've tried so many things, python scripts, messing around with the site backend, and I haven't been able to find it. If you could somehow find a link, like maybe if you have the "hottest" page on the day you posted it or something in the wayback machine and get the link that way I could get the aircraft for you, but I have been unsuccessful trying to reverse engineer my way into finding your plane.
again, try wayback machine, if you really want this look through all the captures of the site you can find around may/june 2021 and your first plane might be there somewhere. If you can get me that link I can get your plane no problem, but as of right now I have had zero luck through that method or other methods.
could you give me the name and the notification link? Name should be in the email if you have that
If I can find the report page (you can access that with the 7 digit post id) we should be golden
I don't want to participate since I think this is ineligible since I made it a long time ago and I don't want to make it a successor, but I would like to mention the flying sentient giant pickle I made a while back
@alexJgameYTukraine000000 no problem man, glad you reminded me since I think I may have deleted and reuploaded the file by accident without changing the link
@Graingy technically alts are against the terms of service, which is strange since it is not enforced (there are moderators with alt accounts)
point is they likely aren't going to be adding features that encourage something that's against the TOS
That's already a budget(ish) phone and it's two years old already, by the time SP2 even comes to android (likely another 2 years) its gonna be a potato. I'd start saving, if you can manage to save like $20-30 a month you can have a really nice phone by then
orrr get a PC and you can play SP2 at launch...
@overlord5453 only certain values work, if I remember correctly #FF makes it 100% opaque while #00 is the lowest value. Then it goes up in increments of 22 I believe until like 88
Edit: According to the resource
I was right, except after #88 there is #CC, #AA. and then #FF.
The sheer manual labor alone it would have taken to do this is absurd. Great job.

@HuskyDynamics01 that's funny, probably the exact search term they used.
+1@HuskyDynamics01 may I ask how you found that?

+1I am confuzzled as to how this started. Hilarious though.
+1reminds of this doohickey I made
+1How have I never heard of you
+1243 followers and platinum this is very odd
yeah just putting in a simple little " view aliases" button like they have on Steam would be nice
+1@GhostMach appreciate the respect! @blt yeah I've got my eye out for a copy of 2, they're super cheap so I'm just waiting for mine to pop up in my area.

+1@F16xl oh wait, actually watched the video, just assumed it was a rickroll lol
wasn't expecting a real face reveal, also the ending was wild
(i feel like i am corroborating a crime)
+1@blt I feel ya, that low detail 4Runner I made took like maybe 5-6 hours of my time
+127 hours is wild, I mean don't get me wrong it looks amazing but for a sub-300 part build the time spent is crazy

@StockPlanesRemastered word on the street is that steam version supports mods and if your PC isn't a toaster bigger builds
+1sporkit spotted aaaaaaaaa
+1seriously though the game looks cool, just not worth the 20 bucks to me personally
@Rob119WithA105mmHowitzer I don't think it's enforced, MrSilverWolf has one evidently. https://www.simpleplanes.com/u/MrSilverWolf2

@YarisSedan I could maybe do a few, but I'm very hesitant since it requires a lot of network traffic and I'd feel bad about it
+1now that right there is clean
+1this in multiplayer would be amazing
