and name it too, this includes forums, i suck at making a title for forums. anyways i have been inspired by Graingy to write some (not) interesting short stories. only problem is, i cant get a title or start the story even though i have some very interesting ideas sitting in my brainless mind. man this has been a struggle for like a while now.
ah the joys of ADHD.
oh and, this isnt a "plz help me :(((((((" thing im just telling that it is a pain to start stories for some fuggin reason for me even though I HAVE SO MANY COOL IDEAS (i mean lame ideas).

Someone died lol
Just maybe try to avoid an “the author’s barely-disguised fetish” situation. Of course, I’d trust you to not to be so depraved, but if you’ve got a planet populated entirely with giant-eared fox people you’re kinda showing your hand lol.
Don’t forget that what you include is a reflection on you, however you may handle that.
Personally I take no issue with being seen as a misanthrope tired of human bullshit, because I am one. Some people may want to keep such an opinion under wraps, though, so would have to watch themselves not to make it too obvious how they feel.
I guess what I’m saying is write things down, but have the sense to know when something is a bad idea in regards to what people will think of you.
I am curious, though, what medium you were considering?
There’s no such thing as too niche. Even things with little connection to the story can help flesh out a setting and make it all feel more “real” to work in.
An audience may not see every piece of information, but they may be able to sense the connections.
I’d suggest getting your ideas down somewhere, if you can. Harder to forget things that way.
Hell, maybe if you can get yourself to dump a few hundred words into a file explaining some niche detail you’ll be able to get something going. Who knows?
@Boeing727200F Don’t I know it…
It’s been over a month, I believe, since the last entry to Grainthology was released. Next one hasn’t even been reviewed to be sent to pre-readers.
Writing can be fun (if you get into the swing of things), but editing is joyless. Hard to motivate when there’s a hundred other things to do.
Even writing is a tough one, since you need to actually get going in the first place. That’s tough.
@Graingy the thing is I still want to try and get stories in but life just keeps getting in the way
Fear it, run from it, the desire to worldbuild comes all the same.
@Boeing727200F Shame.
@Graingy lost interest
Any luck?
@32 Oooh right Song 2 was their fourth.
Just name them "Shitfuck 69420" or something idk (i also struggle naming stuff ☠️)
@Graingy no you’re thinking of “Song 3” by Stone Sour
@32 Was it their third song?
@32 lmao
Just remember “Song 2” by Blur is their most popular
Good luck.
I am available if you would like advice, though I can make no guarantees as to the quality or applicability of that advice.
