This lovely piece is something I’ve had in my backlog for a while now. I know someone made a forum post on Strandbeests the other day (check out their animation, it’s pretty cool), so I feel like I should back said claim up with evidence to prove I’m not just jumping on a bandwagon or something and deliberately stealing attention from them:
Background
As the title suggests, it’s heavily based off Theo Jansen’s Strandbeest with one small change to the leg operation as I got a bit lazy and didn’t want to rebuild half of the leg to make it work properly. However, the outcome is basically exactly the same.

Operation:
Step 1: hit slow motion (L) key (or prepare for quick reactions)
Step 2: VTOL up
Step 3: Wait for first set of legs to make quarter of a turn then press Activator 1 (just look at the part directly connected to the rotator)
Step 4: Repeat step 3 for each quarter of a turn, increasing the activator number until you reach activator 3.

I've always wanted to see one of these made, I knew it was theoretically possible but I never tried making one because I am terrible at making mechanical things in this game.
