I’m definitely gonna miss the feeling that I get when I see a new post by you in my jetstream , but that’s ok. It’s been a good ride regardless, so enjoy the next chapter of your life! If, for some reason, you want to build something again, feel free to deviate from your style. To be honest, there are many styles of mine that I have no idea how to build anymore, too.

"The insane willpower of many builders on this site"
Many of the most prolific builders only upload once a month, at most. You appear to upload daily, which is an easy way to get tired of SP. Most things in life are best when they are in moderation!

I understand where you are coming from, but I think that your building habits are responsible for what you are feeling.

Generally speaking plats who don't have good quality have short-lived popularity. It is also common for a player to revamp their profile after they have hit a certain amount of followers. I, for example, was pretty spammy in the past, but now I focus on high-quality projects.

  • How do I speed limit engines? 4.0 years ago

Use the funky trees code, Thottle * clamp01(GS < [Desired Speed])
    .
This uses your ground speed regardless of direction. I can edit the formula if you want:
    a) Forward speed to be considered, instead of speed regardless of direction
    b) Have this speed limit only occur when a certain activation group is on

Does this also work with booleans (if they still exist)? Such as, for example, if I was making a control system - would it be possible to use an input that would look something like “RollAngle > 5” for a thruster to fire at a roll angle of over 5 degrees?

By the way, this is absolutely awesome! I’m super hyped for this update.

@SledDriver @Destroyerz117 Hi, I was checking out this beautiful build again, and stumbled upon your conversation. I would like to clarify that my 2D-VTOL systems are not based upon sled’s flight systems. Here is, for example, my first 2-D VTOL. Feel free to compare the timestamp with sled’s post. All of my flight systems are my own work, and I credit everyone who is involved in my builds.
Besides, setting inputmultipliers low, and power high, isn’t that much of a groundbreaking discovery - that trick had been common knowledge among many users.

Looks very good. I think the hind landing gear could be moved to a more advantageous place on the plane. Perhaps custom landing gear would be nice, too. Otherwise, this is an excellent design! Makes me want to make a large aircraft, like a bomber or gunship.

As we can see, King Bach has presented a rather large spoon to his friend. The humor in this video stems from the fact that King Bach would like to eat ice cream but his friend retorts at him, saying he can only have a spoon full, nothing more. Bach then suddenly changes his expression and body language and reveals that he is indeed in possession of a spoon. And not just any spoon, it is a massive stainless steel spoon. This is funny because you would never expect someone to just be casually in possession of a massive spoon to eat ice cream with. It is completely unorthodox and uncalled for. This is why the video is so humorous and was put on the 2012 Epic Vine compilation playlist on Youtube.

A spacecraft is launched into a low Earth orbit. The spacecraft principal moments of inertia are Ix = 98 kg·m2, Iy = 102 kg·m2, Iz = 150 kg·m2. For stability, the launch vehicle deploys the spacecraft such that it is in a major axis spin when released, with ωz = 0.5 rad/s. Because no deployment is perfect, the spacecraft also has some angular velocity about the other two principal axes, given by ωx = 0.1 rad/s, ωy = 0.02 rad/s.
    Making appropriate approximations:
    (a) Describe the resulting spacecraft attitude motion if there are no disturbance
    torques.
    (b) Determine the nutation angle.
    (c) Determine the precession rate.

The FitnessGram Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal "bodeboop". A single lap should be completed every time you hear this sound. ding Remember to run in a straight line and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark. Get ready!… Start.

These kinds of things are hard to fight through. I’ve definitely had my battles with depression, so I know where you are coming from. Thankfully, you have a lot of people here that want to talk to you. Remember that there is always a way to overcome depression, whether it is a life/habit change, seeking professional help, or embracing another solution. Stay strong man (or woman - I don’t want to assume).

In my opinion, this has to be one of your best ships. I absolutely love the style, as well as how the build is adequately detailed with a low part count. I do think that the nose and landing gear could be improved, but that doesn't detract from the overall design too much!

  • Is SimplePlanes iOS Dead? 5.4 years ago

"If mods are the only future of SimplePlanes, then SimplePlanes iOS is dead."

This might be true if your initial assumption was realistic. However, I believe that it is not - mods aren't really a big part of SP. Overload and fine tuner are useful, but they are not required to produce high-quality builds.

  • SledDriver Will Beat SpiritusRaptor Soon... 6.4 years ago

@SledDriver I wasn't very precise in my language, and I was unfair in my characterization of your style. However, I am fairly certain that, in this case, I mean style. Your building technique, as in the way you construct your uploads, it versatile. The sideways-fuselage building technique can be applied to almost any build. By style, I mean that, appearance-wise, the planes are quite similar. The shiny grey color is characteristic to your profile, as well as sleek aircraft shapes that generally fall into the category of fighter bodies, with or without engine nacelles (usually one on each wing). Also, I did state that I know about a lack of variety from experience, which is a clear indication that I know that my profile is fairly homogeneous. I'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish by pointing that out.

I also must add that, on a site where anything slightly futuristic is lumped into one category, futuristic builds are seen as clones of each other without any recognition or thought about the details, function, color scheme, usage of shapes, etc. Unfortunately, while I think my evaluation of your style was an unfair exaggeration (And I will edit it to set the record straight), there is most likely a large pool of players who would agree with that evaluation that was stated in my original comment.

Unfortunately the issue with blended wing bodies, at the moment, is the difficulty to add emergency exits. After all, climbing up stairs to get to the top of a wing won’t work well for a water evacuation

I have found that extra info is actually appreciated, as long as you leave it as a link to a separate forum post. A few of my followers (more than I expect) actually take the time to read my long stuff, which is quite nice. Though my long-form content, when it gets more technical, is really just for me to build up my little portfolio that I have made here :)

To be fair, a pasted Wikipedia entry doesn’t really add much. I suppose my long descriptions are different in that they essentially say “hey, I can do math!”.
