Everyone's stories differ, but for me personally it started with Mod needing help with moderating the SimpleRockets site, and he recommended me since I had been moderating the SRC Discord server (think of it like SPBC but less toxic and SR2). After a few days, Andrew contacted me asking if I would like to be a moderator on the SR website, which I of course said yes to. After a couple months of that, I decided to expand my operations to this site, which is where this story ends.

Generally speaking, if you have to ask, then it probably isn’t for you. Mods are chosen by the mod team (and devs too), and are usually people who have a stellar reputation.
@Brendorkus if you've been a good user, then you could get considered next time they need another mod. Granted it's a tiny chance you'll get picked
I did get one post removed for worries of other people being banned, but that’s just about it. @ThePilotDude
@Brendorkus I am not sure. I believe the mods and devs select a user from observation and see who will be a good moderator, and there may be an application

Though in all seriousness you don't apply to be a mod, they choose you, which basically means I'll never be one

First you need to sacrifice a goat to a volcano to summon the almighty Andrew Garrison and other devs. After that the other mods will rise out of the volcano and bestow upon you the legendary ban hammer. Then the other devs will create the blood red mod tag out of the molten lava and your points, and then you will be summoned anytime someone reports something.
