The game has been out since 2014 and hasn’t been updated in months. It seems like ever since mods became available (which is especially frustrating for an iOS user, since we can’t use them) the devs have shifted all of their attention to SimpleRockets 2 and left SimplePlanes behind.
If mods are the only future of SimplePlanes, then SimplePlanes iOS is dead.
Simpleplanes has been dying ever since some youtubers started leaving simple planes, a while later some youtubers like frantic matty still play this game however the popularity of his channel or any other channels doing simple planes content will not be enough to sustain the player base. In the end imo this has nothing to do with updates...
Note:there are still tags with the name of the youtubers who used to do videos on simple planes.

Oh, and the devs haven't left SP behind there are still updates to the website and there is one more planned update for SP itself...
US IOS players aren't dead by any means, just because we don't have mods doesn't mean it's the end of the world.....

The most enfuriating thing for iOS players is people telling them to get a PC. No saine person is on iOS for no reason mate. @randomusername

This might be true if your initial assumption was realistic. However, I believe that it is not - mods aren't really a big part of SP. Overload and fine tuner are useful, but they are not required to produce high-quality builds.

Tell the Devs. I Started off with iOS was left pretty disappointed
