@robloxweponco Not going to supply enough power for long enough. While an interesting concept, the execution is extremely difficult to perfect and will likely be not as powerful as other methods.
@Roswell Hm. I get the idea, but my mechanism is vastly different from yours. Mine is much closer to a gas-piston long recoil type system found on rifles. Thanks for the link.
@jamesPLANESii One more to add. Make a good description. A crappy description or a nonexistent one completely puts me off. I personally take time to pre-write my descriptions for about 10 minutes at the very least.
@Aizen The missile inside the turret guides itself towards the target. The turret is freely rotating, which lets the turret turn automatically to the target. You then fire. Simple concept really, but hard to make it not explode.
@ThomasRoderick Brilliant idea, (albeit damaged part notif spam (due to high RPM) lol) and one nitpick, the VTOL/Trim aim can be improved with the use of a Roll/Pitch system for Mouse Joystick Aiming methods.
@ACEPILOT109 Exactly correct. The concept is simple; the execution done here is done differently to enable the recoil springs to move and simulate the method of operation seen on the Bofors. And yes, no mods- I always make every build mod-free.
@Ryn176 A dead discussion, but a rather inadequate explanation. Something on wing sections that create extra lift or drag depending on usage. They are classified as "high lift devices".
@MartinCoetzee Sorry for the late reply. Different time zone. Anyhow, if you've understood how this system works, it's extremely convenient to add rounds. Add a round/cartridge & a lifter piston under the spring system to increase magazine capacity. However, the current limitations allow for only up to 7 rounds max. Please wait though, I'm currently unable to work on SP as I am outside ATM. Will get to this later.
@PrtkaLOL This is pretty heavy. You'll first need a powerful plane to get it up. To add it to your plane, drag it to your subassemblies. Then attach a long pylon to it, (set it to activation group 1) and you can use it!
It would be best if left flexible with options, but personally I've devolved into using the tool as a quick keybind to essentially duplicate parts. Although the actual function exists by RMB+drag, I like keybinds and it can be faster.
.
I fear that the auto-mirror approach is not best suited for SP's style of modeling (direct modeling). With parametric modeling systems like with modern CAD suites, it is easy to deal with mirroring patterns or solids as it is fully parametrically defined, but this is not really the case for the traditional direct modeling approach as with SP.
.
As in SP1 the mirror system seems hugely inconsistent. Sometimes it allows me to freely mirror parts with no limit on how many times I do it, whereas other times it somehow detects a part in the way. I have grown out of using the plane mirroring system, but this is more of a function of the kind of crafts I build and their asymmetrical nature.
.
The issue, at its core, seems to always be the connections. When focused on building mechanically interactive or otherwise complex crafts with precise geometries, I find that connections in SP1 become so cumbersome such that I outright bypass the built in system and manually rebuild connections using the connections editor. Again, this is a function of the kind of crafts I build, where the actual geometries are well-defined and the building process consists of mathematically deconstructing complex geometries into the more digestible forms in SimplePlanes.
Looks really good! I rode these for a living one time...
Some details are missing but overall really well done.
Can't say for the MGS, but for the ICVs the low front doesn't have that many bolts & plates.
@mrxml

Lmao. You're really saying using an in-game feature that existed before this was published is something I didn't know about when I built this? You're completely missing the point. This is here because people don't wanna use in-game elements to "cheat". This is for vanilla simulator purists that wanna use an actual vanilla built mechanism with the UI turned off.
Not to mention, the in-game CCIP is not a "bombsight". It projects the full trajectory of the bomb.

Yes, it does. Surprised this hasn't been done before with how long it's been out for. Styling is heavily inspired by standard laboratory analytical balances (which presumably have been around for much long before the 2000s).

Nobody likes prebuilts, but saying HP puts in 350W for a 5800X + 3060 is downright slander. You can't even power the thing on with 350.
Prebuilts have their place, and it's very much preferable for people who cannot handle anything more complicated than an iPad (or you're enterprise and cannot and will not spend time to building PCs).

+1@Roswell I answered your concern regarding when a lot of missiles are present, not how to make it. Looks like you had a slight misconception.
+1@Roswell All you need is to bump up the fire rate or reduce the timebetweenbursts. Although, use this sparingly- rapid usage will cause lag.
+1@Axartar Hope this is useful for you!
+1@AWESOMENESS360 like this
+1Cool! Looks like you have really great detailing.

+1@EliteArsenals24 Just add pointless details like mine.... Haha.
+1@X4JB haha sure
+1@sexylips35 Yeah, the pistons fire in alternating order of 1-3-5-2-4 in a 5-piston radial.
+1@EliteArsenals24 Haha, but I have a "workaround" for that :D
+1@robloxweponco Not going to supply enough power for long enough. While an interesting concept, the execution is extremely difficult to perfect and will likely be not as powerful as other methods.
+1Rather lackluster, to be honest. I recommend you don't use the building blocks at all.

Direct vs. parametric modeling are two different approaches. Most modern CAD software is the latter.

You cannot.

Alternatively, purchase the PC version of this software for that capability.
