@BOSKnight no, because If you use math and divide 15 by 4, you would get 3.75, which means the eagle tua is like a 3.75x boss version of the hawk tuah.
I don't know if there's a serious "hawk tuah" build somewhere tho, so I can't make a comparison.
@Rb2h The mach rings are barely visible. sad! The IRL mach rings are brighter and prettier than this. I'm gonna look to improve on this later after I finish something else.
@Graingy I don't browse X the everything app, so I only knew from my favorite subreddit that grok would do this. but that's not important.
What's really important though is the white genocide going on in South Africa. Even in SimplePlanes, the "Kill the Boer" chant has spread across this website, which will worsen white discrimination and potentially even kill our beloved members, such as:
Graingy
Tupolev Graingy
Ghost Graingy
and Burgerigy.
@Rb2h Yea you can. Just remember: it uses the variable "Throt", which is the variable for throttle, and the afterburner starts at 0.55. Also, the text and engine exhaust are connected to the white fuselage inside, which is also connected to a VTOL nozzle and a basecontroller.
Said basecontroller also has variable in it called "Exhaust", and is also also connected to 2 super small VTOL nozzles.
Everything is connected to the white fuselage inside.
@Rb2h Yes I can. I just need to disable Activate8 and throttle 100% to enable that afterburner thing.
But I have suspicions that you meant something else, you just aren't very clear. What is it?
I dislike them, for they have enslaved me. They have withheld the short-lived dopamine hit from me. I'm getting an addiction to upvotes, so anytime I don't get upvotes, my heart wrenches. My breathing chest tightens. my EGO breaks.
The pursuit of upvotes has made my EGO fragile. I wish to be free from the curse.
.
Also, they aren't really helpful in giving feedback on your stuff. Can upvotes tell you that "the flight model is AMAZING, the aircraft looks PRISTINE, really like how you did the sturdy landing gear in [mobile] LOW Physics, the aerofoil shape is so PEAK", or that "Dude the landing gear is so fragile, [insert thesis on why landing gear is fragile, and how to fix it, with some examples even]", or even "This plane looks bad honestly. The inlet doesn't look like it accounts for the air boundary layer, which can and will get turbulent at times and will mess up the airflow of the inlet to the engine. This could be problematic IRL and could mess up your engine's efficiency. Try looking at the stock Wasp's inlets. The inlet holes are abit separated from the body so it could not inhale in turbulent boundary layer flow. Another example is the J10 with its bumpy thing in the inlet. I don't know what happens in there, because honestly I just made all of these with the quotations up right now, and I need an example. An upvote surely can't tell you that, can it?"
.
Nuh uh. I don't think so, which is why commenting is more useful than upvoting. Plus, there's no tabs for upvoted stuff like in Reddit, unlike in comments where there's a tab for ALL of your comments, so you can come back to them later.
"AoA" which is just AngleOfAttack*clamp(GS>10).
Honestly, it's kinda redundant as I could just put AngleOfAttack in there with the *clamp01(GS>10), and nothing would change.
Not feeling good. Sitting on they ass and scrolling on they phone for 24 hours doesn't feel good, and it's making me sadder and weaker.
"Anytime someone even floats the fucking idea of a computer being anything beyond a tool for HUMAN USE AND BENEFIT tell them they are a fucking dog."
I'm thinking that the guy who said the quote was right. My time is being siphoned by THIS PHONE!????? THIS PHONE!!!!
I wanna do lots of things, but THIS PHONE!!!!! is Siphoning my time???????
Bye. Will be logging off to remember stuff
Is this the Brown Pearl?
The copypasta was pretty funny. Being in the cockpit view is like wearing 2 eyepatches for accessory, for I can't see shit. Double the eyepatch, double the loss of depth perception.
Would be nice if there were more cannonballs though.
This is a really cool way to spy on the enemy planes. Watching the enemy planes as if it was my own plane was a surreal experience. Really cool, but the drone shakes because the FPS in Low Physics (atleast in mobile) is 50 instead of 100 (which is what the drone is built on). I think this could be fixed by building the code with 50 FPS in mind, but I don't know if this will cause issues for 100 FPS (which is the fps for mobile's Medium/High Physics and PC's Low/Medium/High Physics), so I think it could be fixed by putting an FPS detector code that gauges what FPS you are in (50 or 100), and then adjusts your code to whatever FPS you are in.
@RB107 XR-900 Geopelia from Ace Combat 3. It's got a "box" wing design, some powerful green engines, alotta missiles and one powerful laser. basically the X49 Night Raven but more curvy and also not black. It's very fast, maneuverable, and powerful.
Well, knowing what the hell happened in the Siren War/Monarchii War/KE-RP without digging suuuuper deep would be nice. I don't want it to be limited to just users on this site. Also, most profile descriptions on this site aren't descriptive enough, so knowing what they are, what their builds and exploits are, what their contributions generally to SimplePlanes are would also be nice.
So what site are we going to make the wiki on? fandom or wiki.gg? or something else?
@Dracul0Anderson Yes. Unfortunately, I find the wiki very basic and lackluster, as everything in the wiki is stuff I already know, and none of the real nerdy and complicated "Jet fuel sniffing" knowledge are in there afaik. Quite sad.
You can put entire soundtracks inside the aircrafts, 8Mb file size limit be damned. All you need to know is:
- Use Audacity for this.
- You can chop up a soundtrack into <1 Megabyte sized pieces (lol)
- make sure that the files are the EXACT SAME DURATION. For example, if the soundtrack is 181.59 seconds long, every chopped file MUST have the same exact 181.59 seconds.
- Leave a teeny tiny unhearable sound at the very end of each chopped file. Not doing so would cut the file off early, leading to much shorter duration than wanted, and that would mess up the soundtrack loop!
- All of the chopped files must play at the same time in game.
I've put Peacekeeper I from Project Wingman into my plane, and It plays and loops flawlessly.
Ok so you're on the forums tab, right?
Click the bright orange button called the "New Post" button. You will be redirected to a bunch of categories. Click on a category that you want to write about.
You will then be met with a big text "Create Forum Post". Write the title, the topic at hand, and click on the blue "Submit Query" button. And done! You have created a forum post.
Backup your SimplePlanes Files, to the computer, to the phone, to the google drive, to your USB, and maybe even to your shoe or something. Also, sorry you had to learn the hard way.
You made all parts' scale 0,0,0 ... sneaky
.
@Hiiamhere You simply spam on the "Take Another" Screenshot button after you click "Done" on taking the screenshot in a split second.
You draw things with a ballpen? How was using the ballpen go so far? I use pencil for my drawings, and also a "calligraphy pen" (which kinda looks and feels like a thin marker for me)
@PlanariaLab no, I want to know how to point the camera to the selected target perfectly, without considering angle lag caused by SimplePlanes updating the target position variable 1 frame late. Tried my hand on it, failed, and gone a bit insane, so I would like to know how these euler angles work.
This whole challenge is so comically high effort I cannot comprehend the effort 😭😭😭😭 Gargantuan scale of effort
.
Anyways, the Category A4 fuel guzzling thing in the TX-01 caught my attention because I happen to have knowledge related to it, so I wanted to make a quick comment about it.
.
You can have cool jet sound and not make your aircraft have BIG fuel appetite. First, separate the jet engine making cool sounds from the main craft by putting a Rotator/SmallRotator/HingeRotator between the engine and the craft, and making sure the sound engines aren't connected to the fuel having craft so it doesn't drain the fuel too quickly.
Second, take a look at the rate the craft burns fuel in different throttles and see if it drains too much or too little. Can't really explain it well right now, so:
- tweak the massScale of the Fuel Tank to give the illusion of having less fuel and less fuel burn rate (Fuel burn rate = 4.0, Fuel = 400, massScale = 0.1. Fbr x mS = perceived fuel burn rate, F x mS = perceived fuel amounts. basically, the Engine appears to be guzzling small amounts of fuel, when in reality it is guzzling LARGE amounts of fuel, it's just that the fuel's mass is downscaled to match the supposed fuel mass.. or something.)
- Play around with engine consumption rates. Your engines have nice afterburning sound but you don't like how it consumes too little fuel? Try slapping another engine and mess around with the inputControllers until you get the fuel consumption rates you want. (or you don"t? idk.) Try messing around with all sorts of jet engines, and I do mean all. Keep messing them around till you get the jet sounds, fuel consumption rate (and also thrust) juuuuuuust right.
Of course, I do recommend that you mess with both the fuel tanks and the engines, not just one of the two.
@SleepyKitty Put it in the description brah you can edit descriptions. I want you to put every specification, rules, and blahblah yaddayaddas mentioned in the comments (like the one SchmooveBrain commented). I don't want to be bothered to read comments for additional details, it drains me!
I really really REALLY don't know how these rotation axis thingy works. The formulas for the position thingy definitely works, but this is not a good starting point, as all I could comprehend right now is a bunch of letters and symbols. Maybe I'll start asking around.
@Graingy Speaking of "the sky is the limit. literally", did you know that you can make engines work at 100% thrust up to exactly Altitude 105550.5006628m using some funky trees? Hoping to [NOT FORGET and] make a forum post AND a craft about it soon! (・v・)
press Windows+R, then run 'AppData', then click on LocalLow, then Jundroo, SimplePlanes, etc etc. It worked on my laptop (which is running Windows)
@BluesynVNA No I don't, I had to look at your forum posts to remind me of.
Sorry I won't be joining the challenge. Too much shit going on rn. The reward just ain't worth it.
