I present to you my newest mod: Vortices



PARTS LOCATION
This mod add in game two new parts: TrailVortex and LerxVortex. You can find them in Vortices category:


After dragging these both parts from the category you will see that this is yellow pyramids with vortices:

HOW TO USE
1.Attach it to your wing
2.Make sure that X and Z angles are zero:

3.Tune it
4.After mirroring it to other side make sure that mirrored trail vortex attached:

These steps the same for LerxVortex too.
MECHANICS OF BENDING
The bending of TrailVortex different from bending of LerxVortex for angle of attack:


For angle of slip these mechanics are same. Also, LerxVortex not "rotates" for angle of slip like for angle of attack, it only bending.
PART PROPERTIES
Trail vortex:
Visible in Designer - enable/disable visibility of trail vortex in Designer.
Size - size of trail vortex, "thickness" of it.
Length length of trail vortex.
Speed - speed of trail vortex.
Emission - this setting define the density of trail vortex.
Random angle - random angle multiplier. This setting define the random angle of trail vortex. If this setting = 1, then cone angle of trail vortex will be 20°.
Random length - random length multiplier. This setting define the random length of trail vortex. If this setting = 1, then length of trail vortex will between 90% and 110%.
Max particles count - maximal count of trail vortex particles.
Opacity - opacity multiplier of trail vortex.
Grow start AoA - angle of attack, when trail vortex become visible.
Grow end AoA - angle of attack, when trail vortex have maximal visibility.
Fade start AoA - angle of attack, when trail vortex starts to decrease visibility.
Fade end AoA - angle of attack, when trail vortex become invisible.
Min visibility speed, km/h - speed in kilometers per hour, when trail vortex become visible. At lower speed trail vortex invisible.
Max visibility speed, km/h - speed in kilometers per hour, when trail vortex have maximal visibility.
Visible for -AoA - if enabled, then trail vortex visible for negative angle of attack. If disabled, then trail vortex invisible for negative angle of attack.
LerxVortex:
Visible in Designer - enable/disable visibility of LERX vortex in Designer.
Size - size of LERX vortex.
Random size - random size multiplier. If this setting = 0.25, then size of LERX vortex will be between 0.75 and 1.25.
Length length of LERX vortex.
Speed - speed of LERX vortex.
Emission - this setting define the density of LERX vortex.
Random angle - random angle multiplier. This setting define the random angle of LERX vortex. If this setting = 1, then rotation angle of LERX vortex will 10°.
AoA sensitivity - angle of attack sensitivity. This setting define the angle of attack rotation of LERX vortex per one degree of angle of attack.
AoS sensitivity - angle of slip sensitivity. This setting define the bending angle of LERX vortex per one degree of angle of slip.
Maximal AoA - maximal angle of attack rotation of LERX vortex. Programmatically limited by 60°.
Maximal AoS - maximal angle of slip bending of LERX vortex. Programmatically limited by 60°.
Max particles count - maximal count of LERX vortex particles.

@MOPCKOEDNISHE Yo i appreciate the help, but i actually found out that the problem was in the rotation of the vortex emitter part, if the part wasn't exactly at 0 0 0 rotation it would just stop showing up

@MOPCKOEDNISHE idk, my plane can do 90+ degre AOA maneuvers, sometimes i just see a tiny glimpse of vortices before they dissapear again
@ZemiGG Probably your airplane have very low maximal angle of attack. As result, vortices just not appears.
Hey, for some reason the vortices dont work on my plane even though they perfectly work on your wasp, i even tried copying the vertex emitter to sub-assemblies but as soon as i put it in my plane it doesn't work, i've checked connections, help me.

@TsuchinshanATLAS Hmm, you want to see this mod in SP2 despite the fact that SP2 will have stock vortices effects?

awsome mod, ive wanted this for a long time, and also going back to earlier models of the game for simplewings, funny me, but one question, what if I want the vortex on the inside (not trail for the ends, but the Lerx) to activate only at high speeds not at low, almost stalling and landing speed? Because thats just for hight g's which dont happen at those speeds, i just wanted to make it more acurate. Thanks!
@Chimpys This is speed in kilometers per hour.
Why you put Max lower than Min? This is not properly using. Of course in that case your vortices works wrong. How it works:
The Min/Max calculate ONE OF THE multipliers, that define vortices opacity. If your speed higher, than MAX, this multiplier = 1. If you speed lower, than Min, this multiplier = 0.
Yo this mod this is so sick. Question though, I don't think the
Min/Max visibility speedproperties work properly. Unless it means m/s not kmh? either way, it doesn't seem to change anything about it unless i put Max lower than Min to which it doesn't appear at all (obv). How does it work?macos players seeing this:😭

whats the difference of "GrowEndVisibilityAOA", "FadeStartVisibilityAOA", "FadeEndVisibilityAOA" etc cant figure how to tune them
