Thanks matey! Its an iPhone 8 that is on its last legs (the battery is currently telling me I need service). So a big improvement over the iPhone6 I used to build on. Hoping to get something a bit sexier soon, though…@Tang0five
You got me. The Marauder was the first thing I thought of when I read "medium bomber". I would have loved to have done one, too. But replicas are way above my skill level. @Tang0five
@TWDDerSharkmarine Many thanks! I was trying to adhere to the Supermarine design aesthetic as much as possible and let's face it - Supermarine designed some of the best looking fighters of the prop age.
One small update. To make carrier landings easier, set the angle of the tail hook to 45°. Otherwise you need to land an almost perfect 3 pointer to catch the wire.
Cheers! I was really into IL-2 a few years back. Was working with dome guys to get the EE Lightning and the SEPECAT Jaguar into the game. Didnt come to anything, sadly… @Almostbutnotquite
@Tang0five Youre too kind. I have to say, though - these new parts are bloomin good fun to build with. Actual landing gear wells! Glass bits!! Cockpits that work! :-)
@Tang0five
Howdy. Yeah - its been a while. Hope youre well? Im still pottering around, but the tools here are starting to get a bit beyond my ability… Im just getting to grips with the glass!
@ALDOCHILLGAMING Hmm - it didnt do that when I built it several years and several versions ago. However, can I recommend gaining more altitude before raising the gear? The nose down thing stops when the gear is fully retracted.
Thanks for the full caps, though. Makes your post easier to read….
Fair point. Something is broken with this model, for some reason. It was built 4 and a bit years ago on an older version of SP - maybe thats the reason? @FireBirdDynamics
Very nice. Funny thing; the one Im working on for this challenge had its beginnings in a float plane. Mid engined, too. You aren’t the guy I see sometimes camping in the bushes outside my house... are you?
Thanks! I built this one first then took it apart to fit a second seat. I usually find that single seaters look better in small fast jets, too. @methirasoysa123
This is the first of a series I have started. Ive gone back to the first models I ever built and updated them. This is the original from many, many years ago... http://www.simpleplanes.com/a/2JKnWV/Viper-II-ASP
Hi! You are most welcome- this is a masterpiece. Im good. The last year has been challenging, with a new job that didnt quite pan out (lets just say that the responsibility / stress / workload vs remuneration ratio was a wee bit off). But, I start a whole new job in October and hopefully some balance can be restored to my life. I will be around here more, too! @ChiChiWerx
Christ! You spotted this old bugger. Thanks! Im quite fond of this one, as it is my only creation to be featured by a YouTuber (Frantic Matty). @Tang0five
The F-15e is the Strike Eagle. The F-15se is a tech demonstrator, the Silent Eagle. Totally different versions. And yes, the Strike Eagle uses both conformal tanks and regular drop tanks. @scfss
Ok. Are we talking about her nosing over on touchdown or is this more of a capsizing of her own accord when starting from the water? Which way does she flip? Nose or tail first? @Megaplanesinc
Hmmm - I might have something for this challenge, then… @MemrWii
Quick question - what is your stance on flying boats? (Asking for a friend ;-) )
Holy crap - this is some low part count loveliness.
+1Yeah - I looked to the b-25, b-26 and the Mistubishi G4M as inspiration. @BittyJupiter360

+2Thanks! @Walvis
Sure! Its an infinite rotator with fuselage parts. @Bobyo
Dont worry! I remembered ;-) @BeastHunter
+1This isnt bad, though - you just need to finish it?

@RAF1 No problem at all - this was fun!

+1No - This bird really has issues. The nose gear seems to fall off and she spins very easily. Not your fault, mate. @FireBirdDynamics
Fair point. Something is broken with this model, for some reason. It was built 4 and a bit years ago on an older version of SP - maybe thats the reason? @FireBirdDynamics
Appreciate that, komrade! @SonicManiaOVA
+1I KNEW it!!! ;—) @RamboJutter
Very nice. Funny thing; the one Im working on for this challenge had its beginnings in a float plane. Mid engined, too. You aren’t the guy I see sometimes camping in the bushes outside my house... are you?
Hehe. Im now in a different job (Im in the explosives industry now ;-) ) so yes, I have time and a couple of new toys in the works. @Tang0five
very cool, my dear fellow!
+1Wonderful! Also curved roundels. That is a world of pain right there. Good job!
Very nice. Reminds me of the BAe Warrior I built for the ground attack challenge you had a while back. Very cool design!

Bloody lovely! Well made, my dear fellow! I would throw a spot your way, but it appears we have leapfrogged each other again. Soon... :-)
Nope. I built the original and I can state with 100% certainty that this is substantially altered (and improved). @ChiyomiAnzai
+1Christ! You spotted this old bugger. Thanks! Im quite fond of this one, as it is my only creation to be featured by a YouTuber (Frantic Matty). @Tang0five
Thanks! @TheDarkAce
Hello there! @otayahiromo8211
Good job, comrade!
Cheers very muchly for the spot, my dear fellow! @Tang0five
Thanks! @Trainzo
Da, comrade. You make the fatherland proud. @ShermanFirefly
I made a grand slam version, a Dam Buster, too. @ShermanFirefly
+1It is pretty hectic, truth be told. Two projects in the mix, though. So watch this space! Also: many thanks!!@Tang0five
Wow! Look at you, mr 28.6k! Well deserved and you are too kind! @Tang0five
It was the first thing I noticed, laddie! @Tang0five
Very nice!
Magnificent. Just really, really awesomely bloody wonderfully great!
+1The F-15e is the Strike Eagle. The F-15se is a tech demonstrator, the Silent Eagle. Totally different versions. And yes, the Strike Eagle uses both conformal tanks and regular drop tanks. @scfss
Thats weird. I dont get that at all. What physics settings are you on? @Megaplanesinc
Ok. Are we talking about her nosing over on touchdown or is this more of a capsizing of her own accord when starting from the water? Which way does she flip? Nose or tail first? @Megaplanesinc
