I disagree with this post. First of all, this isn't a new trend. Users like General360 and ccooper/Zed have thrived on quantity over quality since forever, ccooper going so far as to reach the number one spot on the users list. Secondly, many of the lower quality users have friends who will upvote their builds. Thirdly, not everyone shares your criteria on what makes a good build. Many users genuinely like the creations you're calling out here.
@Alucard689 it means that your build is listed among the successors of the challenge, and he gets seven points whenever you get an upvote. Basically, the reason to have this feature is so that original builder can receive points when somebody modifies and posts their build, but it is commonly used for challenges to make keeping track of entries easier. Now that your build is a successor to the challenge, it is officially a challenge entry.
I can make it not a successor again if you don't want to be a part of the challenge.
Most of the build is very nice. However, main gear retraction is so far below your usual quality it made an onion cry. Both the wheel and the door panel keep sticking out a lot.
@SuperRoto certainly an improvement over your previous works. If you wish to improve your technique more quickly, you should visit the Builders Chat on Discord, where you can chat with other builders.
It looks nice and flies quite well. Behaves as I'd expect. There are a few issues which you could fix on your future builds. Most notable one, at least on mobile, is that the plane yaws right while sitting still on the runway. Other one is that flaps can push the wrong way by setting VTOL slider up. I guess you used hidden wings for flaps and forgot to limit them to one-way movement.
Wings on this build are nice, cosmetic flaps are well made, and it looks a lot like the real thing, except for the windshield. You should practice getting that part right.
@Typhoon_ I'd love to, but I'm too busy with work. I can't even build for a challenge I'm already in. If I catch some time, I'll finish a boat I already have in my dry dock for you.
@C5KN you have no idea how far from truth you are. We're talking about a builder who always pushed for innovation. His builds were always mobile friendly, yet more detailed than high part count builds. His efficiency is unmatched by anyone.
I have edited your username to the closest one that is mentionable. Basically, when you're tagging someone, tag only affects the part before the first underscore and not the entire username, thus, in this case, trying to mention you would actually mention the user T, not T_800_Terminator.
@Grob0s0VBRa he can write more than three tags, but only the first three will receive a notification. Tagging dozens of people in a single comment is a moderator privilege :)
@WarHawk95 cockpit on Texan is intentionally placed high to allow a good view down over the nose. Primarily because that's where the runway is supposed to be on approach and you don't want the student landing it into a cornfield or snapping the gear on hard landing.
It looks quite nice. Guns and rocket pods is my favorite weapon configuration for prop planes. Perhaps some small bombs or napalm could be fun too if the cockpit view is good enough. Just don't pile all types of armament on at once.
@UNKNOWN93832 that's great. Enjoy :)
+1@UNKNOWN93832 you must be using a low end device then. It's only 283 parts.
+1That's cute :)
+1Still, congrats.

+1@Northsoutheastthrop I do have a job. I'm not working the last few days though, expecting to be back to work any day now.
+1@Darg12e lol, I can see deleted comments.
+1Your post has been removed because it appears to have broken the website rules. You can read them here
+1@brians1209 sure.
+1@Cabbage17 it won't be removed if it's your own. However, most challenge hosts don't allow edits of old builds.
+1@Demogorgon don't hate people. Hating people is bad.

+1Done.
+1@DeathStalker627 this account has been inactive for almost half a decade. Why spotlight?

+1@Yourcrush the rules say you can make successors without a permit. Nice of you to ask though.
+1@Yourcrush sure. If it's successor to James's by default, I can edit it to be successor of this post.
+1How many of these are there?!

+1@JeskoGoesVROOM I usually don't strike for this. However, nice of you to give it up.

+1@AtlasSP it could if one of the people tagged reports it, if you did commit mass tagging.
+1@KnightOfRen nope.

@Memri @captainhall no problem.

+1@KnightOfRen you replied to a comment that's 2.6 years old XD
+1@Inuyasha8215 sure.
+1@Viper3000ad I can make your build a successor to the challenge if you give me a link to the challenge.

+1@GuilhermeLincoln331 I have created a tag "Brazil" on this build. I hope you don't mind being the first to use this tag.
+1Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while. Welcome back. Nice bike.
+1@asteroidbook345 yes.
+1@Beefy unlikely. I'm too busy with my job these days.

+1You're welcome.
+1@davygravy10 anytime. Thanks for keeping your son supervised and safe online.
+1There you go.
+1@Mustangflyer no problem. I haven't issued you a strike for this. Just don't do it again and you're fine.

+1@LunchBox I don't do collaborations. Sorry.
+1@KnightOfRen you have my blessing to publish it.
+1@Yeetmenflyer there is no mod on this one.
