@TheChosenOne Good question. 2D VTOLs use a gyro to stay upright, with upward-facing jets to keep the aircraft in the air. Forward and backward motion are controlled by jets that have been modded to be extremely responsive.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is a "stupid" way to model, but traditional methods are much easier on the file size. That's alright though - as long as you are smart with the part count, then you should be fine!
@REXTHEDINO Thank you, I always appreciate it when others recognize the effort that I put into my profile! Unfortunately, I would not be able to do that challenge, because my time is quite scarce these days. Sorry about that
@CyberNova Unfortunately, due to the mechanics behind this craft, it would be somewhat complex to make a mobile version of this (removing parts can have unforeseen consequences on how the craft behaves). Due to this, and my limited time, I cannot make a mobile version of this plane. Sorry!
From what I have seen, many higher-ranked players are continuing to upload. As for me, my reasons for inactive uploading schedule are unrelated to SP or its website...
@Ephwurd Thanks! I tried my best to write about the physics of the ship, as well as its general characteristics. I hope that the desc was entertaining though.
@TheChosenOne Pretty fast. Thank you for reading it! I hope that you found it interesting - I sure did, but I also enjoy math a little more than most people.
Generally I try to keep my builds at a maximum of 500 parts to ensure that most users can download them. My next upload will be an exception to that rule, though.
Looks like @ThePrototype already answered this, quite well. However, flight without wings is possible, too, if you have an insanely high power-to-weight ratio. I'm not sure if the craft still works, but it did when I posted it.
I currently don't have access to my computer, so I won't be able to troubleshoot it. Looks like the below user already fixed it. A good fuel tank to use would be the simplified infinite fuel tank.
Can you link a source that says that the F-35 will replace the A-10? I am aware of the "flyoff", but I do not see any conclusive results.
Good build! I think that I should try making a gunship like this sometime...
@SakuraSaku Thank you! I try my best to put my unique spin on things.
@TheChosenOne Its not too hard to do. Try dissecting some of the VTOLs that I have made! If needed, I can point you towards some other good examples.

63 • 50 = 3150 comments. That means I average a little less than 3 comments per day. Not bad!
@Hkis It does! Go into camera 1, then use the VTOL and trim bars to move around inside of the trailer.

A great post from an excellent designer. It's good to see a post from you again!
@REXTHEDINO Even coordinating a challenge take a lot of work. I'll certainly think about it, though, if I find the time to host a challenge.
@REXTHEDINO Thank you, I always appreciate it when others recognize the effort that I put into my profile! Unfortunately, I would not be able to do that challenge, because my time is quite scarce these days. Sorry about that
@CyberNova Ah, sorry about that! I didn't test it with low physics.
@MAHADI Thanks! After a leave of absence, I always try to impress with a returning build.

@Wrysen I seem to have trouble with ship classifications. Thank you!

@Vapegun I'm not sure what you mean. Can you elaborate?
@X4JB You can use the site's formatting to insert images into a bio. For more information about markdown formatting, you can look at this forum post.
@X4JB Yep, and it isn't my first reference, either!
@Ephwurd Thanks! I tried my best to write about the physics of the ship, as well as its general characteristics. I hope that the desc was entertaining though.
@robloxweponco Thank you! I must say that I agree with you - this is one of my best-looking ships.

@GreatHenry That's odd. I do not not how to fix that. Sorry about that!
@GreatHenry Ah, does that occur during downloading?
@GreatHenry What's the specific problem?
@Tully2001 I greatly appreciate the spotlight. That must mean that I did especially well on this build!
@Seeras Thanks! The color scheme would have been different, but I wanted to use some school colors on it.
@TheFlyingGyro @Sm10684 @goboygo1 Thank you! I put extra effort into this one, so I greatly appreciate your support.
@Ephwurd @Spacedoge12345plane I have uploaded the plane!
@Mostly @GreatHenry @TheChosenOne The plane has been uploaded!
@Rub3n213 Ah, yeah, that's pretty ironic. Well, it's far too late to change the name, I suppose
@Ephwurd Thanks! I've been quite busy, too - I haven't had much time to play SP.
@Rub3n213 Thanks! I'm glad that my graphic style is that recognizable.
[Edit]: I might have misread your comment. Early mornings can be rough sometimes. Sorry about that.
Well done. I appreciate the sharp geometry of this ship.
@4Dimensional Thank you! I appreciate that you enjoy what I do with this game.

Nice and compact.
Interesting canard configuration!
@FalconGT12 The wings are nudged into the fuselage. With such a low weight, the wings are quite small.
@FalconGT12 I used some XML to set the massScale for most of the parts to zero. This low mass ensured that the craft had a high power-to-weight ratio.
@FalconGT12 It takes a lot of practice. Try new things to create and refine a style of your own!

@metallicplanes Find a site to host your images. Then use the syntax ! [] (imageURL) to paste it in a forum.
I hyperventilated a bit when I saw this in my jetstream.

@RedRoosterII Thanks! I enjoy building to expand upon, and develop the theme!
@TUA54 Ah, modding SP is done through Unity, which is available for PC (and maybe Mac). Check out the modding subreddit for more info.
@TUA54 I can give advice when needed. What are you specifically having trouble with?
@RYANF34 Thanks! My schedule will continue to be extremely busy, but I'm planning to release some stuff on SR2 and SP during the holidays.
Interesting inlet placement!
