@Treadmill103 A lot of Atlas's aesthetics can be best summed as "cold-war / retrofuturistic crossed with the low-poly blockiness of Supreme Commander game series"...
@Grob0s0VBRa DAT IZ DA ROIGHT AN' PROPA ORKY WOI OV DA MEKBOYZ! WAAAAAAAAGGGHHH!!! Silliness aside, that sounds pretty dangerous... to both friends and foes alike. The system seem to share some similarities with the Type 492-C dual-purpose mass driver in the utilisation of particle dispersion technology to create massive amounts of destruction, though.
I! Knew! It! (I was testing something similar w/ that tri-axial rotator thing to keep a missile launcher pointing up, and I soon realized that it can be used for some auto-leading thing like this.) Good job Centuri!
@GESICHERT "the windshield is foldable and you can steer while looking at the left and right windows"
I assume you mean there are two pilots sitting behind their respective windshield-looking-things on the fuselage? Because IIRC if the pilot sits inside the fuselage and looks through the side windows similar to the Spirit of St. Louis you don't really need those windshields.
@Yourcrush Something I just found out. Also, sorry for accidentally deleting my postimage archive so that I have to delete that post as well... Because that post would make zero sense without the pictures...
@Treadmill103 New update: the mortar will be replaced by a 5" railgun with a muzzle velocity of mach 10 - because hitting anything other than a ground emplacement with a mortar is hard, and you don't really need to use a 16" gun to fire a tactical nuke with the yield of 30 tons anyways. Plus, now we can get more rounds inside that thing and that I have a cyberpunk-looking 120mm railgun since quite a while (as in 2.5 years) ago.
Just realized one thing: The LUNA system can usher in a new age of aerostats, and perhaps even starships and steam/dieselpunk fliers (a.k.a. flying battleships and carriers, e.g. @WalrusAircraft). Yeah I know that the Orbidyn is a small (Star Citizen-esque) starship in its own right, but I mean the larger ones, like the Hornet's Domain and the Seraph, or those warships of @Ephwurd (*sniff* may solar winds be always on his side *sniff*). Like seriously, this design allows larger ships to roll to one side to unleash a powerful broadside to enemies on a different altitude, or to pitch up or down to quickly increase/decrease its altitude.
True, just because a bunch of ************s and ********s (self censor) used something as a symbol for their evil acts does NOT necessarily mean nobody decent should ever touch that symbol again. Hell, even the swastika was once just a good luck charm, nothing more, nothing less, and might as well continue to be so if not for some arsehole named Hitler. I know for some, many once innocuous symbols now mean something completely different, due to what people wielding those symbols have done, but sincerely, I think perhaps it might as well be the time for us to take back such symbols for its original purpose as decoration, only that now we should know to never repeat the crimes those before us have committed.
Also, nice bike. *VRRROOOM!*
@SledDriver Ok... It just occurs to me that the side profile of the canopy looks more tapered towards the rear compared to the P-51D that I recognize, but I guess removing the "lip" (armor?) and widening the fuselage will cause a few visual illusions. Not to mention that you pretty much never make true replicas, only artistic airframes (sometimes) insipired by historical designs.
Yeah, other than the obvious problem that the fuselage art has more parts than most aircrafts, no problem... Yeah, I know it probably means "Art made using fuselage parts" but I just felt it obligatory to say so... P.S.: Amazing art!
Is this an original design? Anyways, great build as always!
Also, I just HAVE to say that after seeing that weird exchange between you and FairFireFight, I'm.... at least to say, a bit... curious on why you suddenly went full-on defensive after what seemed to be an obvious joke/meme (well, at least to me, that is). Is it a habit formed after people started nitpicking on your earlier SR-71 inspired builds?
only torpedo bay outline included, as launchers would be useless and would increase the part count Why? Is it because the in-game torps are too small and can only run straight?
@Hyattorama Even if it would, it would still be the world's LEAST efficient aircraft design EVER - given how much energy is lost when the piston "catches" the wing and accelerates them into the other direction.
@EternalDarkness Yup, the problem is that in-game surface-to-air missiles does not lock on to a cruise missile (well they don't even show up on radar), while auto-cannons lacks true fragmentation. I guess projectiles with XML'ed sizes (within a certain limit, of course) are allowed?
@Zott Although not "everyone", many are similar enough - that's how people made the movie Tora! Tora! Tora! - there aren't that many flyable WWII Japanese warplanes around anymore, so they decided to simply build replicas out of T-6 Texans and BT-13 Valiants.
A MH-60 Blackhawk (the stealthy variant) combined with a V-22 Osprey? This thing is cool, I have to say, but I think that those engines are less stealthy than the rest of the plane...
@spefyjerbf Yup, the rear engine pods and parts of the fuselage do resemble their counterparts on the orbis, although most of those can also be seen as a direct successor to that of the RONIN MKI. That said, this build is indeed quite a majestic one.
@BlazeInfinity Indeed... 571 parts on android would be a more than a bit laggy... Though given the context, the Italians could mount their own torpedo tubes on the vacancy left from the SAN tubes...
@Rob119 I mean, if two toothpicks are used to hold food between them without puncturing the food, they're chopsticks, and if a pair of chopsticks is used to hold the food by puncturing the food they make a fork.
@Sadboye12 [gives a big hug] No worries... If anyone I'd be the one who started it all...

My therapist: the Hindhog isn't real, it can't hurt you
+2The Hindhog:
@Raptor787 He don't make historical planes, only things that shouldn't fly whatsoever.

I made an AA turret (or shall I say, upgraded an existing AA turret) using the codes in this build. Thanks.
