with my limited amount of funky trees "knowledge" i'd expect something like this to work (AG1 is the activation group i used here): siren = 1? smooth(Activate1,1):smooth(Activate1,smooth(Activate1,1))
.
just copy paste this as a "siren pitch" variable and see if it works (i'm not confident but here we go anyway)
@ShwanTheAviationNerd i'll just say that i can still see it
also just pretend you meant hexadecimal like i did (which would mean 16 (the only difference being that i'm actually 16))
@Sockdragger i've used these engines for almost a year now
(BTW that plane isn't worth downloading by my current standards)
and i didn't know shocks were such a rarity, but thanks!
@SilverStar me too, idk
with some testing i did notice it always seems to tilt like 2 degrees when spawning in for some reason, but afterwards it feels completely balanced
@SilverStar I updated the XML with the spoilers fixed, but i've never seen an issue with the suspension? they seem to be the same with the same connections on both sides, i'm not sure what could cause an issue there
@dbqp 1. this is a Sandboxgame called Simpleplanes so i can do whatever i want
2. I'd have had to put quite a lot of extra weight infront of the front seat which is unnecessary here and would have reduced visibility
@dbqp 90 kilograms in each seat is still very flyable, not even that noseheavy-feeling
did you even test it?!?
.
also IRL the center of lift would be a bit more in the front, reducing the lever effect even more
@dbqp what exactly do you think is the problem then? because for me (and 32 others) it looks completely fine
if it's the "hollow" design, all aircraft look like that but this one just doesn't have them covered with an aerodynamic surface because it's fast enough as it is.
If the balance "looks off", think again. the wings might be providing lift a bit too far back but nobody except you seems to care.
I do think i understand the principles of designing such aircraft, and i don't understand why you commented this on what i think is my most realistic build so far. also there much weirder planes in real life, this one is basically the same design
@Ashdenpaw1 why tho?
on a different note, does anyone else have the Grain's bio redirect to the front page?
@UPTOSPACE345 this isn't even the highest performance cost i've achieved
knockoff swissair
T
waywat?!?
T
It's a miracle! I actually got a craft curated!
@Graingy ones that can be opened with simpleplanes.exe
Tamn
w a r
also boats
XML files
YES
@SPMistatopi heli rotors, 101 performance cost per part
is it really enough to run simpleplanes though?
@Cuboidable thanks for making me never unsee that

yes i'm still tagging both accounts because why not
@RSH10Thunderbeam Activate1 is the on and off switch, the output (which you can define as a variable) should follow the pattern
with my limited amount of funky trees "knowledge" i'd expect something like this to work (AG1 is the activation group i used here):
siren = 1? smooth(Activate1,1):smooth(Activate1,smooth(Activate1,1))

if you haven't done any complicated cockpit stuff, try mirroring it again
if that doesn't work idk
someone's gonna make never gonna give you up in simpleplanes
cool,dude
@PrussianAirWorks because some people say so.
my middle school "art" teacher would absolutely call it "art"
@Zilozite ahem...
@X99STRIKER i do have a tail design in mind, but do you think just make the rest similar to all my other liveries?
also i'd appreciate livery suggestions

@PlaneLiveryChanger what do you mean by "crop that"?
another one?
also do your lessons or the owl will come for you
i'd recommend this, just upload an image mess around a bit, and then paste the output text into a text part on your plane.
doesn't look like TheMouse though ):
i thought it was the robot guy from interstellar and instead it's siren head
@Bigolfishboy idk if that's a compliment or not
ooh fæncy letters!
i love building either STOL planes or private jets
also why can i not get any of my newer builds curated?!?
magic
put a tail fin with a "liftScale" of a lot on the back and make sure it's balanced
i'd like to be able to actually look at this website, so dark mode all the way
if there were tilt controls i'd probably actually buy it
Alright you asked for it
@WaterFlavouredSpitfires you're at 10000 points now!

@Cuboidable ):
great. the guy straight up deleted his comments. now my onesided conversation looks weird as hell.
