[ I have brought into being some unique machines, I have managed to build things so big I thought I wouldn't have been able to. I've successfully built things that really stretch the abilities of the parts in SP. This tops them all as truly the most intricate plane I've ever brought into being, all for the 120 Upvote Challenge ]

[ Description ]

In-Universe

It had been several years now since the Stratocracy of Skypark had introduced the Work Drones as a way to free up some of the population for military service. Even before the discovery of the Electrosphere, and [DATA EXPUNGED] begin it's war on the military, the worker drones where already feeling the itch for independence, or at least the ability to have a say in how they're governed. They had become more then merely robots designed to do things people did. They couldn't even possess weapons, let alone move about free. And while the emergence of the Siren threat and the Solver where certainly ill fortunes for everyone, there was a silver lining: Skypark suddenly found that having the drones as an sort of parallel military force did have benefits. The drones could now actually defend themselves for once.

But there was still one issue: while they did finally receive some autonomy and the ability to wield weapons, there was a, noticeable gap between the weapons of the Worker Drone Defense Force, and the Skypark military. The WDDF where stuck with forth generation aircraft while Skypark was already mass producing sixth generation aircraft. The WDDF has diesel powered shell firing tanks, Skypark had fusion powered tanks with energy weapons. Most agreed this was a cheap move on the human's part, so a plan to finally do something about it was conceived.

Headed by Aad Velsink, Davey Harley, Colt Welder, and Khan Doorman(for some reason), the group began to develop a new aircraft, under the guise of making a advanced aircraft for the export market. The process was rather grueling, considering the drones had never made an aircraft of this magnitude before, especially with the pressure of keeping its true intentions under wraps, and Khan repeatedly showing why he got stuck with a job that'd keep him away from everybody else(he's kinda insufferable). They even managed to get Luke S. Walker, the only workers actively serving in the Skypark military, to back the project. And with the construction of a fully functional prototype, the project was considered a massive success. Well almost, because apparently, when no one was looking, Khan Doorman submitted his application for the aircraft's official name, and said name was that of a door(because he just has to inflict he weird thing with doors on everything).

Real-Life

This is the most advanced thing I've ever built. And this is coming from the guy that made a full-sized Arsenal Bird on a mobile device. Through this challenge I really discovered I can actually build quite the complicated plane. I also found that the extremely realistic limiters of the Challenge this was made for really, really, REALLY show how limited the SP physics are(then again, it is trying to be a 3D model-er and a physics simulator at the same time on mobile, so I wouldn't judge too harshly). A few minor things ¹ had to be done to compensate for the limits, but in a way that still fit within the ideals the challenge set. This is also the first successful time I've ever implemented a G-limiter.

  • All relevant functions have a button, which are labeled.
  • Standard control layout, weapons bay doors open automatically.
  • VTOL above 95% for full conventional flight.
  • VTOL anywhere below 95% for short take-off or limited reverse thrust.
  • AG1 ON for Directed Energy Weapon.
  • AG3 ON for radar jammer.
  • Use jamming Chase and jamming Orbit cameras when jammer is on(when not using cockpit view).
  • AG8 OFF to disengage regular gun.
  • Left Joystick: Yaw/Throttle and fire guns
  • Right Joystick: Pitch/Roll and fire weapons and flares

Collaborators: None, unless you count my squishmellows.

This plane is based on a design by Rodrigo Avella². I am simply using it for entertainment purposes only, and in no way claim it as mine. I'm merely using it for a fun roleplay and this challenge.

The radar Jamming function I learned from this build that I discovered some time back.

[ Footnotes & rationale-s ]

• ¹ I did my damnest to keep to the criteria the the challenge set. However, the very realistic requirements quickly caught up to the limits of SP, one in particular being the relationship between speed and the thrust-to-weight ratio. This isn't even something unique to your challenge, by the way, but the way things work in SP, thrust-to-weight ratios that work in real life don't work nearly so well in SP. So I ended up with a dilemma, either edit the drag so a more realistic thrust-to-weight ratio would actually work, or just up the thrust to allow the plane to actually flying properly, within the realistic boundaries of what aircraft in general and at the size of mine can do. I went with the thrust, cause I feel it would be a little too easy to abuse drag editing for the sake of performance.

• ² I used the design that I chose due to it being sufficiently realistic, while also being unique enough that it isn't just some bland looking thing(and uh……well lets just say all my brain was able to think of was how to weasel in a transforming aircraft into a really realistic challenge. Because animated Japanese robots).

• ³ I tried the have a g-limiter on the normal wing part controls, but for some reason it wouldn't work, so I ended up having to put it in thrust vectoring rotators, which led to having almost all the picht controls on the wing parts eliminated

This sucker took most of a week to make. I nearly lost my mind(again) trying to make this work.

Combined SimpleVerse, a.k.a. the fictional universe which all of our events have taken place in (e.g. M-War, M-War II, etc.)
Now is probably a good time to mention- here's how I chose the name:
-Combined: The story is built on our combined efforts.
-Simple: The game is literally SimplePlanes so I ran out of other ideas lol
    -Verse: Universe, of course.

That jammer Idea is so interesting. I'm curious, why go for an orange paint scheme?

Also, yes, this plane(and by extension my country are part of the overall Simpleverse that the MDA is. Also, mind telling me how you involved the elestrosphere(cause I'm pretty sure it will differ from how I involved it)?

    What does CSV stand for?

    Nice
We’re working on Autonomous AI too. Well, Orion Industries is working in the AI, Crestel Aeronautics is working on / buying the aircraft
    Also:

    ELECTROSPHERE IN CSV CONFIRMED!!!!1!1!1!

(Assuming this is CSV, the universe in which the MDA is in, nice plane too!)
