I own floppy disks. I think 10.
Don't believe me?
Here's proof. Sorry for the low quality image, my webcam is not up to the job. Let's just call them "Authentic resolution".
I have, currently, 109 .splane files.
Take a look.
Yeah. That's a lot.
So I decided to put them on a floppy disk (this is more of a proof of concept thing. I merely copied the files, rather than deleting them off my drive and having them only on the FD.)
After about a minute or so, they copied over. I for some reason needed to separate then into folders due to some NTFS thing. So folder 1 is SP1, and folder 2 is SP2.
Here is me transferring them over.
After that, I took the FD out and put it into my XP Machine. Here are some images of the files on XP, and the Computer itself.
So yeah! After a long time, I finally lived up to my promise about putting splane files on a Floppy disk.

i have 917 Zettabytes of images of airplanes.
@keiyronelleavgeek566 Oh, those are XML files. I think.
At max you could fit 30 of them if they were all 48.
Up to 144 for all to be 10kb.
@THEOKPILOT most of them are somewhere between 10 and 48 kb.
@Solent Yeah, if you can find any. Also, the windows 7 may be 64 bit. Check in the System tab in Control panel.
@THEOKPILOT so an old SP version should work then? also the thinkpad just about runs windows 8.1
@32 lol
Blud really just discovered file systems
@Solent I would look up if the computer you have can run a 64 bit OS.
@Solent Well I was told anything after 1.8 or 19 is 64 bit.
what about running SP on this old computer ?
otherwise i have a 13 year old thinkpad
@THEOKPILOT isn't SP 32 bit? because it's an x86 cpu but i do have win7
@keiyronelleavgeek566 You'd probably need like 100 folders to keep them in (due to that odd ntfs thing), but you could do it.
@Solent If you can get Win 7 64 bit running, you probably can.
@50CalChicken Thank you!
@keiyronelleavgeek566 That would be 7.668 kb, a typical 1.44 mb DOS formatted Floppy disk could easily hold them all.

I love this
haha, that's funny.
i have 1278 plane files.
i need to try installing simpleplanes on my 17 year old eeePC 901 and download .splane files from one of the hundreds of old floppy disks my dad refuses to throw away
@THEOKPILOT this is interesting
@THEOKPILOT yes?
@PlaneFlightX They still are pretty useful though.
