@tang0five thanks for the praise, you didn't need to have this as a successor to my tweaks though, tbf I didn't do much and the credit for design and build should be yours. What made you change the colour scheme? Poor @doge gave you 8/10 but no upvote...
@worldplanes features don't work on demand, some of my better (in my opinion) builds didn't get featured when other builds did, it's personal preference, it happens. Ps now I'm platinum we don't even get that chance as there's a policy not to feature our builds :)
@F104Deathtrap yeah ideas getting at the boeing style, early airliners where essentially military converts or interesting in their own right (dragon rapide, avro Anson etc) I just get bored easily looking at modern airliners, they need to start building blended wings :)
No xml at all? So I can't disable collisions or have things activate and deactivate on buttons? I've got a crusader2 altered build which is nearly ready but it came into service in 1957 and has xml bits, I take it that wouldn't be accepted.
@Chancey21 from what I've seen teasers are just peoples way of milking upvotes, oh look what I'm building please upvotes this post, look guys I've added 2 more blocks - upvotes? Etc. But I get your point if it's a worthwhile build and it's more of a tutorial as how to build something np.
Nnnnnooooo. But that means I have to read the forums myself and I just don't know how I'll survive all those "I'm leaving" or "teaser" posts. U sir are my forum firewall
@TheRedStormer hmm upvotes are an indicator of the quality of your builds... no upvotes = no one is much impressed and when people arnt impressed they won't comment either, try building some quality planes and see where you go from there.
@CenturiVonKikie fair enough, with using those hollow fuselage sections I end up manually mirroring parts rather than mirror one half over (if I don't it duplicates panels and deletes any rotator on the centre line) so it's probably that. Cheers though.
@Formula350 to answer your question I think this is meant to be from the same sort of alternate reality as the other sbd designs, so the engine was basically an electricity generator for the propulsion system, I cheated and put a jet engine in it.
I'm amazed you go to all that effort, I use the mark 1 eyeball and scale figures from drawings etc (and it's recently been pointed out to me how easy it is to scale the whole plane) obviously your method will be more accurate but way more time consuming... credit to you.
@Tang0five thanks man, it was hard work but worth it. I was going to do the p & o sign writing but just the thought of the and symbol gave me a headache :)
@Grob0s0VBRa Sorry i forgot to reply to this, thanks for posting it, i will have a proper look next time im playing SP (having a bit of a rest at present as ran out of 90% finished builds lol)
@ThomasRoderick I prefer actual roundels as they are not faded imported images, they are much more customisable to match the shape of the build while maintaining decent colours but are labour intensive. Other people use the labels as they are presumably easier and less parts are involved. It might just be me though...
@Spikerya Thanks, sorry i have only just seen your comment and kind words. I appreciate the support and am happy that others like what i do with aircraft.
I was kindly pointed to your post, i might not have seen it otherwise, that ship looks awesome, so incredible detail involved in it, have an upvote in recompense.
@Theinfinite Isnt Hioppocrates a Greek dude, philosopher or such? Ive not seen any such person on here. Fighter jet in silver has to be the EE Lightning =)
@SkyJayTheFirst They have a nice look to them, my personal preference is to at least use all 3 of the stock image options though =) You may also want to consider the wheel location / sizes as real aircraft have them further forward and a tad larger.
@Ericshideout yeah I've looked at them, a bit of a niche part of aviation for a very small period of time. I'm fairly certain I've done some in the past but I'm on mobile at present so searching is not so easy. Not ruling them out in the future.
@Apollo018362 I have in the past sketched some designs prior to building on SP but mostly I just use real world designs and add my own twist to it. Sometimes I'm also inspired by other people's artwork or SP builds as well.
@Emma159 Yeah thats fair, i used the Lightning for the cockpit only (Tornado nose - before chopping the end off, A7 fin and wing, F102 engine) but it does give off a squashed Lightning vibe =) Thanks for the upvote and comment.
@MartinAeronautics Thanks, im glad you enjoyed seeing my build process. I follow pretty much the same process with each build so i thought people might like a bit of an insight, plus you never know it might help or inspire others =)
@HariTheSnakk thanks, I didntveven realise it was possible to make missiles waterproof, how do you do that? (Not that I ever build anything that involves underwater but it might be useful to know)
Awesome man, now get those logos put on :)
+2@tang0five thanks for the praise, you didn't need to have this as a successor to my tweaks though, tbf I didn't do much and the credit for design and build should be yours. What made you change the colour scheme? Poor @doge gave you 8/10 but no upvote...
+2This looks good, can't believe I'm the first to upvote. Have a free spotlight, hope it helps.
+2@worldplanes features don't work on demand, some of my better (in my opinion) builds didn't get featured when other builds did, it's personal preference, it happens. Ps now I'm platinum we don't even get that chance as there's a policy not to feature our builds :)
+2Erm i dont think artificial horizon gauges where invented when sopwith where building camels. Other than that nice try.
+2I don't normally bother with ships (not my thing) but this looks awesome, must have taken some work.
+2@F104Deathtrap yeah ideas getting at the boeing style, early airliners where essentially military converts or interesting in their own right (dragon rapide, avro Anson etc) I just get bored easily looking at modern airliners, they need to start building blended wings :)

+2Aw man that's your best yet looks awesome, I'll download it later to fly about. I found this while browsing new and it was way better than the others.
+2@F104Deathtrap lol it makes me want to rebuild mine...
+2In before deathtrap :) find one someone else has built, take it to bits to see how they did it, replicate in your own style. Easy.
+2@F104Deathtrap is this dude the inspiration for your post on limiting forum posts???? He's posted more on the forums than I've posted planes...
+2@Chancey21 from what I've seen teasers are just peoples way of milking upvotes, oh look what I'm building please upvotes this post, look guys I've added 2 more blocks - upvotes? Etc. But I get your point if it's a worthwhile build and it's more of a tutorial as how to build something np.

+2@ThePrototype @grizzlitn @MintLynx @Chancey21 @CruzerBlade exactly, simple suggestion but would add so much depth to the game
+2@CenturiVonKikie fair enough, with using those hollow fuselage sections I end up manually mirroring parts rather than mirror one half over (if I don't it duplicates panels and deletes any rotator on the centre line) so it's probably that. Cheers though.
+2Looks good, ill download it later to give it a try, I think I prefer your canards to be fair.
+2@Formula350 to answer your question I think this is meant to be from the same sort of alternate reality as the other sbd designs, so the engine was basically an electricity generator for the propulsion system, I cheated and put a jet engine in it.

+2Have a read about Eric "winkle" Brown (sadly died last year) but his exploits from ww2 till retirement was something else.
+2@BACconcordepilot dunno bout random, but it's huge and unusual.
+2@Tang0five thanks man, it was hard work but worth it. I was going to do the p & o sign writing but just the thought of the and symbol gave me a headache :)
+2@EternalDarkness Good idea, i did a polymorphic fighter a long time ago, maybe its time to revisit the concept.
+1@WinsWings I used the lightning for inspiration but as only one engine it took on mig 21 vibes :)
+1@blt nah, it's just panelling, it wasn't too bad, I kept the wing simple knowing what I wanted to do with the leaf etc.
+1@Grob0s0VBRa Sorry i forgot to reply to this, thanks for posting it, i will have a proper look next time im playing SP (having a bit of a rest at present as ran out of 90% finished builds lol)
+1@ShinyGemsBro If you think this is wide you should see the concept art for the F22 bomber =)
+1@JessaLeih Glad you enjoyed it, its a fun build =)
+1@ThomasRoderick I prefer actual roundels as they are not faded imported images, they are much more customisable to match the shape of the build while maintaining decent colours but are labour intensive. +1@SomeSPGuyWhoLikesLore Thanks =) PS that autocredit is obviously incorrect lol, i must have forgot to start from new when i started this build...
+1@Rob119 Sorry Rob ive been busy with work of late so havent had much chance to look over SP stuff. It certainly looks like a Cheetah =)
+1@Spikerya Thanks, actually i dont have any new Skyhawk aircraft but im pretty sure i used that as the basis for one of my older designs.
+1@Boeing727200F Thanks Boeing, someone beat me to the delete button this time, try not to draw attention to them, its probably all they are after.
+1Drag. Its always drag. I build with 0 drag set on most items and then add as needed when test flying.
+1@BMilan Oh the hardest part, creating posts takes more effort than building =) Yeah sure tag me when you release it, thanks.
+1@BMilan No worries, sorry that this spilled over onto your post, keep up the awesome shipbuilding, I look forward to seeing the finished article
+1@Spikerya Thanks, sorry i have only just seen your comment and kind words. I appreciate the support and am happy that others like what i do with aircraft.

+1I was kindly pointed to this post, so i would like to suggest the Cheetah as its not modelled as often as the others.
+1@SkyJayTheFirst They have a nice look to them, my personal preference is to at least use all 3 of the stock image options though =) You may also want to consider the wheel location / sizes as real aircraft have them further forward and a tad larger.

+1@HuskyDynamics01 to be honest I did that wing so long ago I can't remember how long it took but it wasn't quick... fin though :)
+1@MrSilverWolf evening MrWolf, any chance you can remove the aerosultan and the other random dudettes accusatory comments from this post please
+1@AeroSultan lol, I don't know if your seriously deluded or that was meant to be funny...
+1@Emma159 Yeah thats fair, i used the Lightning for the cockpit only (Tornado nose - before chopping the end off, A7 fin and wing, F102 engine) but it does give off a squashed Lightning vibe =) Thanks for the upvote and comment.
