Handley Page Heyford 5.5

230k RamboJutter  6.1 years ago

My take on a Handley Page Heyford, it took some work, over 1000parts, 1 enables guns and lowers "dustbin" turret, turrents rotate with VTOL, it does take a while to load due to part count and some scaling involved. flies slowly and ponderously like a WW1 bomber would (not like BF1 arcade style). pilots controls mirror your inputs so both steering wheels and control bar react to pitch and roll, throttles move with throttle (funy that). I would have added more detail but the loading times where starting to be annoying.

Very kind of you old bean, I merely dabble by comparison to builds like this! @RamboJutter

Well 17 upvotes sort of tells me that ww1 stuff isnt really appreciated.... Thanks to the 17 though.

@fernado475 have a look at @Tang0five s builds, he's on iOS (for his sins) and builds really well. It's all just a learning process though.

Well another hold back for me is in on iOS so I can’t do no collision or edit certain block sizes @RamboJutter

@fernado475 yes kid, there's progression, all I was trying to say was a bit more time and effort will help you get points, my builds are massively different to when I started as they all bow have large parts counts and more detail, which is what attracts people to the builds (I like to think). Spend some more time on your next build to make sure it's right and nicely detailed and see what happens.

@fernado475 ok, no worries, try the forums. I did have a look at your builds, they aren't bad, just need a bit more time and detail and you will get the votes etc. Nick some bits from mine if it helps.

I really just wanted to find a place a lot of people go to so people can find out about me because the bigger accounts always stamp out the little guys like me@RamboJutter

@fernado475 just out of curiosity, why plug your own builds on someone else's and not even upvotes the build you are commenting on?

@Tang0five @Treadmill103 @Trainzo @ChiChiWerx @niggelas100 Thanks for the votes and comments, I enjoyed this build, pity my computer slows down so much when it's 700+ parts otherwise I would have added more detail (wing section for tail, lettering, bombs and racks etc)

The detail here is exquisite, I particularly like the built up wings, fuselage ribbing and the wrapped insignia. Plus it flies really well, bonus!
