@CRJ900Pilot @Tang0five @GhostHTX thanks for the comments and votes, note im not massively happy with the wing so might re-build with better trailing edges and dihedral when i get a chance =)
Anything can be made to fly perfectly Well, as people have already mentioned the key is balancing col and cog with the lift being behind the mass, normally by about 0.5blocks (ish) and located about 1/3rd of the way back from the leading edge of the wing. I use small wing panels to make it balance (more on the front brings col forward etc) and then nudge them into the fuselage so you can't see them. Centre of thrust can also lead to stability issues, try putting the actual jet engine either close to or in front of the cog (hide it in the fus) then reduce the power of the one in the back so it's just decorative. Have a look at the last 2 of my builds n take them apart for bits if u want.
Looks like a variable angle leading edge (probably a technical term for this) but would increase aerofoil shape and thus lift, presumably for low speed situations.
@Tang0five thanks, not much to this one, i used the buccaneer legs, the thor engines and some other things i have saved as templates and bolted them together for a laugh =)
@Tang0five yeah man, I'm English and interested in aircraft both historical and experimental, one of my first builds on here was a sea fury (I didn't post it cos it was rubbish) I then built the typhoon, next thing I know you build a super tempest. Every time you build something it reminds me of a manufacturer / designer that's worth consideration for future builds :)
@Tang0five ive fixed the airbrakes that for no apparent reason stopped working between test flying and the posting.... i will update it at somepoint, see if anyone colours it in now though =)
@EternalDarkness thanks, I still havnt got to the bottom of the roll, when I'm playing and flying using my joystick this has more roll than my other builds... trailing edges / aerofoil sections arnt a problem, I've been doing them since my su22 unless the post was a rebuild of an older plane.
@CenturiVonKikie the roll happened prior to me moving the cockpit or scaling it, it didn't change after I altered it, nice try though :) I don't know if sbd is aware of my builds but thanks for the comments and upvotes.
@CenturiVonKikie you are not wrong, my fist comments to the chap who pointed this out to me was exactly the same as your comment =) I think ill do a re-build with some cannards, what do you recon, like a p40 tailplane or more like a standard eurofighter canard?
@TheGuyYouMightKnow i sort of finished it, i ran out of time/motivation to do much more, I did start to camo it the same as the website pictures you sent me but it was taking too much time... enjoy anyway.
@TheGuyYouMightKnow wow, I might just give that a go once I've finished my current build, it looks in desperate need of some canards though. Thanks for the heads up
@Tang0five Ive been thinking, as im a bit bored of making things from scratch at the moment, would you mind if i tinker with this? Obviously if im happy with the outcome i can re-post and you will get the credit etc. If not no worries though =)
@Tang0five if i get bored I still load this up just to look at the detail you managed while using an iPad... I struggle with wires and stanchions while using a pc (And a dose of mod magic). Epic and easily worth more upvotes.
@CarsonG1017 Thanks, it was by far the hardest part, the sketches give clues as to movement etc but that's it, the drawings also have them fully hidden with shaped doors but that was above my ability.
@TimeTraveler the beautiful aircraft or the paint bit? ;) The paint is just lots of small panels over laid on the aircraft, just needs a lot of care when placing to avoid messing up moving surfaces. I used the mod that lets you rotate bits so they sit better with fine tuned adjustments. As for the plane I tend to do British aircraft and when no one upvotes them I turn them into the American equivalent :)
@Tang0five Nah although I think I've stabilised it a bit (more by accident than intention), I like the Seahawk (still have the airfix kit of it my dad built me as a child) and was bored so thought some mod tweaks might be nice, split flaps/dive breaks, aerials etc. Will upload shortly
@TheRussiansAreComing yeah if you are on a pc it's relatively straight forward. Make a circle the right diameter for what you want, zoom in to see how many flat sections make up the circle, make a flat piece to suit the width of the flat bit and rotate it (usually 7.5 degrees for the first on and 15 additional degrees after, if 24 sides) create enough pieces for one whole side, attach them to your first piece so they click, then rotate each member and nudge into place. Once one half is done add a canopy to the exact centre and copy to the other side, then remove your original circle and the canopy. Voila. Alternatively find one of my ducted fans and Nick the bits :)
@TheGuyYouMightKnow seconded. If you also get the x-ray mod it will help you find lost bits and can make hidden placement better. Very impressed with your builds so far, mine where still boxes at your level.
@EternalDarkness Thanks ED, if you think this is weird you should see some of the stuff I discarded as I thought it was too weird even for me =) PS should i do a MK5 where the bottom wing is able to be jettisoned... hmmm
@blt just a flat body section that is broken into lots of individual panels shaped to suit the medium upon which it is placed :) I call it panelling as that's the closest applicable word I could think of, others may call it something else.
@TheHaggisBasher Maybe, the thing that puts me off the ww2 style bombers is all the useless turrets, if SP had a turret option i would certainly build some more. Have you seen the artwork for the B17 flying wing?
@Zero0Two2 Thanks for the comment and upvote, im glad you like my build. No need really for a statement, its in the terms and conditions of the website and i just delete any that turn up (with a nice ban on the user who commented), this appears to be working fine so far. It appears to be isolated to a couple of individuals rather than the community as a whole.
I had never seen your builds, which is a shame as they look awesome. I can't trial them on my phone due to mods for tracks though. I would suggest that you use all 3 of your available pictures when posting though as it helps people see what it is that they are considering downloading :) I found early on that builds with mods don't get as many downloads or upvotes though.
@Type2volkswagen Ah ok, that makes sense sort of, definately seems to work though =) looks cool this thing btw, i like the rotory cannon, i made one of those but even without mass it used to make the built turn when i fired lol
@Boeing727200F no worries, freaking out with comments here? I've banned and removed a few comments but nothing overnight (unless some mod has been kind enough to do it for me?)
@CRJ900Pilot @Tang0five @GhostHTX thanks for the comments and votes, note im not massively happy with the wing so might re-build with better trailing edges and dihedral when i get a chance =)
+1@LiamW it's too fast as is, real one had a top speed of around 115mph. Thanks though.
+1@kaaraabiner the camo is the plane, I built the camo as the wing sorry.
+1@Potato21 thanks, last time i do that one though, the rest of the build is only about 400parts, camo = 1000parts+ =)

+1I've already made some tubes using the in-game individual rockets rather than a mod, have a look at some of my builds n Nick them from there
+1@rippedoffdog does that mean I'm not getting an upvote?
+1awesome, there an airliner competition on the go at present you should enter this. Brabazon next???

+1Hello, have fun and use fuselage section for nearly everything :)
+1@EternalDarkness thanks, I still havnt got to the bottom of the roll, when I'm playing and flying using my joystick this has more roll than my other builds... trailing edges / aerofoil sections arnt a problem, I've been doing them since my su22 unless the post was a rebuild of an older plane.

+1@CenturiVonKikie I've stuck some on and reposted, do you fancy modifying one your way and we will see which looks best?
+1@CenturiVonKikie you are not wrong, my fist comments to the chap who pointed this out to me was exactly the same as your comment =) I think ill do a re-build with some cannards, what do you recon, like a p40 tailplane or more like a standard eurofighter canard?

+1@MEERKAT978 I was thinking more pirate of Caribbean when they stand in the moonlight :)
+1@Freerider2142 @FastDan @CRJ900Pilot Thanks guys, it does look awesome in red :)

+1@Alpha029 @mainblocks thanks for the positive comments
+1Not bad at all for a first publish. Keep up the good work.

+1@Sgtk Thanks, it took some doing :)
+1@White67 too slow? did you press 3 to jettison tanks and engage the "re-heat" (other hidden engine.
+1@Tang0five Nah although I think I've stabilised it a bit (more by accident than intention), I like the Seahawk (still have the airfix kit of it my dad built me as a child) and was bored so thought some mod tweaks might be nice, split flaps/dive breaks, aerials etc. Will upload shortly
+1@Tully2001 Thanks, glad you liked it.
+1@Tang0five just add a wing panel into or onto a part, I use those 0.2 scale winglets hidden in decorative panels, looks and function.
+1@Tang0five I wondered what you where building, seemed a while since your last post :) awesome build as always.
+1What's different from my original build then? Just the bombs?
+1@TheRussiansAreComing yeah if you are on a pc it's relatively straight forward. +1@Morozdalisa yeah I might, might do a seamaster as well if your lucky :)
+1@DrNic imagine the real fuel consumption of 24 conways at full chat.. gulp.
+1@Boeing727200F well the fus, top wing, fins and tail are 90% scale Heyford so maybe the Do17 is a knockoff Heyford =)
@EternalDarkness Thanks ED, if you think this is weird you should see some of the stuff I discarded as I thought it was too weird even for me =) PS should i do a MK5 where the bottom wing is able to be jettisoned... hmmm

@Bierregasly help yourself, just make sure you comply with successor rules 😀

@MobileBuilder21 thanks 😊 Thanks also for your other comments and upvotes, much appreciated.
confused. its exactly the same as mine?
@Skykid028 thanks so much for your kind words. I'm glad you appreciate my work.
