Tarrant Tabor

This is an aircraft that has captivated me with its shear size ever since I first saw a picture of it as a kid. Things have moved on since then, we have things like the internet now and you can see many more pictures of this behemoth and behold - you can now fly the Tarrant Tabor! I have made her roughly to scale (length bang on wingspan a little short) with realistic predicted cruising speed. She’s pretty stable inflight and will turn like the old crate she looks like. I had to draw a line as to any further detail unfortunately, topping nearly 500 parts it was an epic struggle for my iPad to keep adding bits. This namely was getting all the struts and wires in place.

The Tabor was intended as a long range heavy bomber built and designed during the latter years of the First World War. As the war came to an end before completion an alternate use was for the fledgling commercial aviation sector. Unfortunately it never got that far. It plowed nose in on take off during its maiden flight in 1919. It was later decided to be the combined result of 1000lbs of ballast in the nose and the upper most engines being fully powered that drove the nose into the ground on take off. This was one of my most enjoyable and satisfying builds and I hope you guys enjoy!

Kind of you to say! @Strolled I just build what interests me to the best of my limited abilities. This particular build was causing my old iPad to crash with disturbing frequency due to the part count (at a dizzying 489 parts). But still, a true leviathan in it day - you should check out the improvements made by RamboJutter, truly remarkable!

@Tang0five Ive been thinking, as im a bit bored of making things from scratch at the moment, would you mind if i tinker with this? Obviously if im happy with the outcome i can re-post and you will get the credit etc. If not no worries though =)

Thanks old bean, I definitely wanted to keep building but my iPad kept coming up short and after umpteen in game crashes I just had to call play on account of rain. There’s an American version built by the same chap, I’m sure that version would maybe garner more interest with our brethren across the pond! Thanks again buddy, I hope you get platinum very soon (and bloody long overdue in my opinion with your builds!!) @RamboJutter

@Tang0five if i get bored I still load this up just to look at the detail you managed while using an iPad... I struggle with wires and stanchions while using a pc (And a dose of mod magic). Epic and easily worth more upvotes.
