This is super cool!
.
Also, I had the same question. Turboprops actually produce power from thrust rotating turbines, and the excess thrust produces power like a jet engine
@asteroidbook345 do you have any tips on the code for the tail turret? Sorry to ping, but I'm trying to do like a limited range (auto-aiming). I know how to use the "TargetHeading" functions and stuff, but then the turret would be able to rotate 180 degrees in every direction. I only want like 20 or 30 degrees
@e_soup they already added this with the WW2 propeller in the new update. Also, you can just scale the hub down in XML, which leaves the prop at the same width
@WIZARD2017 oh, I get that lol. That's super cool!
.
I phrased my question terribly though
I meant like, on the real aircraft, do the controls both function for the pilot and flight engineer? I thought only the flight engineer had the throttle and mixture controls, but I've seen drawings of the B-36 and B-29 that have the throttles on both areas. I just want to make sure this is a true fact before I add it
I have a question, do both the pilot and the flight engineer have throttle control?
.
I'm asking because I've seen the throttles on your aircraft, and on the B-36 cockpit I was looking at for my build
@ChiChiWerx awesome!! Thank you so much..
I really want to see it. But the clips I've watched to get the mechanics looking nice have looked beautiful
.
I'll try to make a lot of the details. I have the "No Smoking On Ramp" thingy on the nose gear doors lol
@ChiChiWerx anyways, sorry for that massive message lol. When I get closer to finishing it, would you like to flight test it?
.
At the rate I'm going, it should be at that point by the end of next week. This is the first plane that I can't stop finding things to do better lol. The only places I'm doing minimal detailing (to keep part count down) is the Cupolas. The cockpit and bombardier areas will be fully detailed, along with the externals
@ChiChiWerx Thank you so much for your help!!
.
I've done the ideation on the controls, and am headed in a very similar way you are explaining. The props will be on 1-6, and the jets on 7. The lights will all be on 8, as that will always be on. I've started the landing gear, and actually am almost done with my first REAL landing gear. The suspension system is realistic, and the doors are too.
.
I agree with your statement, what I said about hydraulic systems being too weak was inaccurate, but it did NOT use hydraulics for the control surfaces. Much like today, the flaps extend and rotate downwards (with fuselage slicing, this will be super easy), and those are the only hydraulically-actuated surfaces. The rudder also was hydraulically actuated. And yes, it will be controllable, not sluggish. I want to make sure of that
.
And finally, the elevator also had hydraulic actuation, but only for take off. If you look at Strategic Air Command (the movie), on takeoff, the elevator is fixed at an upwards pitch. I want to attach this to the LandingGear input, that way it helps on landings too. I just tested my propeller for this aircraft, and the reverse thrust input is super realistic, and does not do that much (which I don't want it to instantly stop the plane). The plane weights as much as a train.
@AWESOMENESS360 thx m8
It's not much rn, and this is my first time making a "professional" replica. So... might take some time because I want to perfect it lol
@RamboJutter okay! No worries. Thank you
Do you, by chance, know how to add a delay to input to a jet engine in this game?
This is super cool!
.

@FeatherWing okay, thanks. I just wanted to make sure
@breddog69 you can't even spell piece correct XD
@FeatherWing 1.11 is allowed, right?
I'm gonna need to start working on this...
One thing I've been curious about: will camera changing be a thing?
@asteroidbook345 oh, really? Thank you sm :). I'll link you to one here in a little bit. I just need to finish somethings up real quick

@parkrangerjerry oh, no, I get what you mean lmao. I just thought I'd let you know EXACTLY what aircraft it was from
.
But yeah, I see that too
@parkrangerjerry it's Eternal's aircraft wing
.
The sucessor auto-credit says what it is

@Nerfaddict noice
@KerlonceauxIndustries
@AzurLane1 they were joking about all the engines being on fire
Plen go woosh
.
What plane is this by the way?
@Iamanoob if you've got no money, you can't get a good phone

And goddamn! This is amazing!
My B-36 will NOT look as smooth as this lmao
Spams upvotes
also, sick plane!
@WiiMini FLORIDA MAN HAS ENTERED THE CHAT
TTTTT
@AWESOMENESS360 I FORGOT ABOUT THAT 🤯
.
I do not know the code tho lol
@FeiWu thank you so much, mate. I'm about to start on the main landing gear, but I already finished the front gear
@Galaxyace huh?
@ChiChiWerx awesome!! Thank you so much..

@Chancey21 look at the edit
@Chancey21 oh, agreed lol. I still haven't gotten it to work
Nice!!
.
One question, why is the trigger so far away from the grip?
@Chancey21 there is that?? I've been looking over all of the XML pages lol
@AndrewGarrison
Saab J-29D?
Nice planes!!
@Red0Bulll It worked for me... weird
.
But yeah, it'll be out in a bit
2 is what the real one had (if this is a T-33/P-80), but I think 1 would be the coolest
@JuanNotAnAlt Thanks!
@AndrewGarrison in VR, will you be able to switch seats?
@AWESOMENESS360 thx m8

@Cerdd okay, awesome!! Thanks
That was one of my biggest concerns lol
@Cerdd like do the control bases move when you use an input? (Roll, pitch), or do they only move when you interact with them
