@Badplanesdotnet
I was able to land it. Although you can't slam the brakes. Unless your talking about its really high stall speed than yes it is a bit tricking trying to put it down without stalling.
@Texasfam04
So get this, I raced your older Texas Racer from the Indy Air Race last year and it runs 100% perfectly clean and it doesn't enter a spin at the start of The Dragon. However it gets 2:43, much slower than your TR-2. However it doesn't spin so its either submit your older Texas Racer or try fixing the spin-start issue with the TR-2.
@Texasfam04
I am happy to inform you that it runs PERFECT. It got all rings and 2:19. It clears the pyramid easily. However it has one big flaw: At the start it goes into a spin. I noticed its because of the huge amounts of power at the low starting speed and the AI wants to pull up. However I noticed if you cut the power and let the airplane glide to 130mph minimum, and then firewall the throttle to 100%, the AI flies the airplane just fine. So it seems the AI doesnt like all that power at a low starting speed. If you could some how delay full power until it gets to 130mph you would have a perfect air racer.
Its definitely an adrenaline rush! But it seems no racer is safe from the first part of the race - the dreaded pyramid. For sure this will be the winner if it wasn't for the pyramid. This is gonna be a shear-luck race. Whoever makes it through the pyramid safely will for the most part be the automatic winner, unless both racers dueling happen to make is safely through the pyramid.
@Chancey21
Yea I know. SR-71 pilots are often referred to "sled drivers". Have you heard of Brian Shul's book Sled Driver: Flying the World's Fastest Jet?

I use to draw them pretty detailed and exact as possible with a ruler and graph paper but I don't anymore since I purely use SP. I just drew these quick sketches since I was bored during our state testing breaks. Oh yea, one of the moderators saw my drawing and said it looks like an SR-71 Blackbird... 😂 (I get it, he wasn't an aviation enthusiast and doesn't know planes but it was still funny)
Crap this is hard. You have to fine tune your racer just right so it flies right through the pyramid perfectly. I got 2:53 with my racer but that's only if I intervene and fly through the pyramid myself and let the AI fly the rest after the pyramid. This is gonna be one tough race...
@FastDan
Thanks but its actually a bear and a deer (or elk?). Its kind of a Christmas themed cover that I still haven't changed out yet even though its way past the season lol.
Is it possible to create AI-controlled turrets as a mod? You basically select an enemy target and the turret points in that direction and fires when the enemy is in a certain range (or you fire manually and the AI simply turns the turret).
@ThomasRoderick
Ha ha, yea I know, but it's a WW2 setting so I added a black-white filter on the photo to make it match with the setting/backstory. I'm doing that with all my descriptions (or at least planes that are canon to my backstory) until I get into the 60's era.
Crap this thing is fast! Definitely the winner in this race. Looks like I'm fighting for 2nd or 3rd now lol.
@FENRIRpapapa
No problem this is a very neat VTOL aircraft.
I'd love to see this game and its backstory.
This paper plane glides very well! Love you paper plane builds!

I really love the whole part nudging technique. I'll have to try that on my next build.

Sweet design and back story. 👍

I'll give it a whirl.
@Chancey21
Oh ok, makes more sense.
@Chancey21
Cool!
This race is gonna be a shear-luck race. Whoever gets through the pyramid safely is the automatic winner in a match.

Ah, ok.

Wait ONE part??? HOW??
@ZeDaru57
An actual virtual cockpit in a well-done plane under 200 parts. Its a pretty rare sight.
@ZeDaru57
Np this is a wonderful build! Its got a ton of detail while remaining incredibly simple.
@Texasfam04
Thanks. I doubt it will win because of the stupid pyramid. But yea I'm surprised too it was Maywar again.
@CRJ900Pilot
Thanks for the compliment!
@InternationalAircraftCompany
Oh you saw them back in March. I thought you were talking about the present.
@Texasfam04
Btw here is my racer.
@communisticbanana
Thank you!

Is it a fake tree, cause shouldn't it be dead by now?

Thanks man for the spotlight!

I added a colored version of that image. Click on it and it will display the colored image.

Btw are you just joking or is that a serious order for an RP air force or something?
(pure curiosity; sorry to sound dumb! :P)
