Completely respectable, especially in this day and age. Good on you for making sure you'd be buying something actually enjoyable and worth your time instead of just going off of hype.
I'd recommend standing it up on its tail to print so that you don't have to remove supports from inside the engine and intakes (and also so that the wings have a nicer finish). Also, use organic/tree supports if your slicer can do them; they're way easier to remove.
@Boeing727200F That's for him to disclose (or memory-hole) once he returns. Looks like the mods also took down my invitation for a private, civil discussion with him around the same time that he got banned, but he had plenty of time (like, almost three weeks) to consider the offer before then and chose not to. Either way, it's a subject that has no place on this site and I will not elaborate further.
A circular airship with an engine assembly that spins around the outer ring would be sick (and by sick I mean mechanically nightmarish but aesthetically neat)
@Graingy Oh, y'know. Lots of stuff. My washing machine decided not to do the spin cycle yesterday for some reason, Microsoft keeps trying to force me to "upgrade" to Windows 11, and certain people (without getting too specific) are becoming increasingly vocal about their preference for me to be about twelve feet shorter than I am.
Here's a question you should ask yourself: Are you doing this because you want to be done with the site, or because you want attention or to be edgy or whatever? Changing your name to "Unwanted," opening the post with "I am hated throughout this community," and pinning a comment that says "I should probably kms" heavily suggests that you're doing it for attention or to be edgy or whatever, in which case you'd most likely be back on a new account in like 1-6 months anyway so it literally doesn't matter.
On the other hand, if you feel like you just want to be done with the site, then you could just stop using the account. Outright deleting it benefits nobody because 1) it prevents anyone from using your builds in the future and 2) it's more difficult if you change your mind and want to come back in the future.

Bullet point 1: "The designer will be "read-only": You can load up and look at any craft, including your SP1 crafts, but you can't modify them. You won't be able to add, remove, or modify any parts. However, the designer will let you paint your craft so you can check out the new texture system which is pretty sweet."
@Graingy Nah, don't worry about it. It's an old joke a buddy of mine told me after his stint in the National Guard ended. You ever heard the one with the pair of Stratofortress engines? It's quite similar to that, but a little less direct. I'd explain it, but it wouldn't be funny anymore.
Do try and keep better track of who's who in the future, though. That sort of confusion is a bad habit to get into, and there's a lot of foolish and fruitless things that can come about as a result.
@Graingy Hm, I'll keep an eye out for that. Apology accepted.
Anyway fear not, I'm not going to do the "copy-the-sand-guy's-pfp-thing-to-look-cool-or-whatever" bit; this other idea I've got is way funnier and a lot less petty. I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually ;)
@Graingy What, or whom, exactly have I defended, and where have I done so? Please be specific, no faffing about what I "might" or "can" do. You can even quote me, if you'd like.
@Graingy Ooh, that's a good idea. Y'know, I do have a rather unfortunate tendency to be petty. Out of curiosity, can you point me to what I've said that strictly goes against your (collective, apparently??*) views?
*can you also explain this? are there multiple people running the account or are you representing a bunch of different users or what? I'm a little confused...
@Graingy You're right, it's way more palatable for you when you say it that way.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have the opportunity to do something really funny and I'm going to need a bit to decide whether or not to do it.
yoooooo
edit: if it's just Thor with him then it might not be, there's usually more than two of them at a time on recording. Guess we'll wait and see. Good spotting regardless, though!
@Graingy And here I thought this was SimplePlanes, not a news website. All I was looking for was one word.
In any case, thank you for clarifying and I'm sorry to hear that you think your hatred is mutual.
Move the wings lower. Generally, the position of the wings that you currently have would be more suitable for a twin-engine aircraft (the DH Mosquito or the P-38, for instance); the vast majority of single-engine fighters and attack aircraft had the wings mounted below the fuselage centerline, often all the way at the bottom of the fuselage. This is true for not just WWII but also well into the Cold War and the early jet era (e.g. the Century series or the F-4 Phantom II).
I'd also suggest making the tip tanks a bit smaller, but that's up to you.
Yeah, community accounts are not good. They have been tried before, and the results have always been the same: someone gets in there and posts something bad, and then nobody knows who it was because nobody knows who is in the account at any given time, so it just gets deleted anyway.
In SP1, missiles can be prematurely detonated (i.e. intercepted or shot down) with guns or cannons, but you have to have good aim because there's no way to lock them.
As for SP2, all I'm allowed to disclose is whatever's been in Dorian's showcases, so I'd recommend checking there. I don't recall anything being said one way or the other on it, though.
@StockPlanesRemastered That's a nice argument, senator. Why don't you back it up with a source?
(seriously please do, I can't find anything about this online lol)
It's not even a SP-specific thing, Honda is just really touchy about anyone else using any part whatsoever of their star airplane. FlightGear was one of the first to run into this, and that was over a decade ago at least.
@MahBucket @32 ah, I must have missed that. Thanks!
+1@32 Where'd you hear that the price will increase?
ayy nice
also your camera's date needs to be reset lol

I thought the nose was the eyes for a second and now I can't unsee it.
@BRNavyPilot Nope, that one's still coming soon ;D
+1the humble uBlock Origin:
+6@Graingy In that case, "catch-me-if-you-can..." sometimes.
@Graingy I'm referring to what might also be termed a lead-based altitude inversion. I hear you're big on those recently.

Unpleasant discoveries.
Also [redacted], but I'm not allowed to disclose that at present.

It's roughly synonymous with "withheld."
ah, I see someone found the dev console
+1haha adblock go brr
+1uBlock Origin can block youtube ads (and also spotify, though that one's a little less consistent sometimes)
fun fact, upvoting your own posts with an alt (or upvoting your alt's posts with your main account) is verboten

I think most of us play SimplePlanes for fun, mister adbot.
Don't forget the K-M ML4000 (and its even more cursed camera car modification)!

It still boggles my mind that keypads are something that can be done in SP.

Not sure on mods, but you should be able to copy the aircraft URL from the website and then hit Ctrl+L in the designer to download it there.

Elaborate, if you would.
+1They're building a whole new kind of phone to run the game, it's called the Jphone. Comes with SP2 preinstalled but you have to buy the phone.
