@Randomplayer I mean, militant leftism was kinda Lenin's deal.
Though I'd say I was more on the bare minimum of militant antifascism.
In any case, best not get into another discussion of that again.
@Monarchii After Manifest Destiny, and the end of the Native territories, the US had to make its own paths to follow.
The one they've been heading down for the last several decades has an awful lot of rakes on it.
Would it be mean to detract points for misuse of paint slots?
Maybe, but the judging is arbitrary so I can do whatever I want. Not a serious issue, just... an issue.
Aight. Tested.
Overall, good.
I like the paint job, despite being somewhat unconventional. Reminds me of lighthouses.
As mentioned, no bonus points for not using nudge, but I'll graciously ignore the non-hidden landing gear and cockpit base in exchange. Mostly.
I like the way you did the tail, that looks good.
The wings could definitely be bigger, both for visuals and because takeoff and landing is rather difficult (especially landing). The CoM is very far ahead of the CoL.
It's stable nonetheless; no unpredictable flight behaviours so far as I can tell.
Good work.
Aight. Tested it.
Overall, good work.
Looks quite good, even despite the limitations of the challenge.
As for detractors:
-The angled blocks clip strangely for some reason. Not sure how they turned out like that.
-While you did say it's slow, it's kinda hard to keep airborne. Perhaps the more powerful turbojets would have done it well. Also very nose heavy.
-The red pylons, being the default colour for the "custom" paint set, gives it a bit of an unrefined look imo.
-The landing gear not being inside the fuselage is also rather awkward looking.
Of course, it's easier to go on about downsides than it is to talk about what is done right. Don't take this as me not liking it.
This is a good submission. Good work.
Go into a cockpit using Overload.
One causes noise to be muffled when in a cockpit (also see cockpit camera setting in the camera part), very useful to not be deafened while flying.
The other causes the camera to shift sideways while looking back to allow you to look around whatever is directly behind the cockpit.
Both are very useful.
A visual nitpick with this craft: Tires are shiny.
This appears to qualify.
Odd, I could've sworn the default cockpit had cockpit audio and lookback translation...
Yet upon checking it doesn't?
Weird.
In any case, better.
@Yish42 I initially forgot about it too, until I realised that Monarchii's (disqualified) submission, among other more critical things, did not use the original cockpit since it had neither lookback nor cockpit audio.
While post-submission changes that alter the actual performance are not allowed, for future non-challenge reference you could perhaps use the bottom of the craft to hide some fuel tanks (as fuel tank bottoms are mostly flat). That would increase range and move CoM forward without being too obvious.
Alrighty.
I'll get this out of the way: Unfortunately disqualified as the cockpit has been changed. This cannot be done without part modification (setting to primary), so breaks challenge rules.
However, as this is visual and does not impact craft performance I'll allow resubmission if attached to a new cockpit. That is, save the rest of the craft as subassembly and attach to the cockpit from a "new airplane" (cockpit and two blocks).
Aside from that, very good work.
Stability at low speeds is... not great, especially when nosing down. Seeing as the challenge is to make a craft without modified parts, not a replica, a maneuverable MiG-25 isn't losing you any points, but unstable performance will.
Generally a very good craft. The technique used in the nose is clever (if a bit janky in at the tip, heh).
Cockpit notwithstanding, I'd wager this would've been in the lead so far.
@SupremeDorian right.
@Pluhman2 Good point. There should probably be an option for servers to block weapons over a certain explosive yield.
@Dracul0Anderson I can’t imagine how. Walkers are complicated, having a part is t going to make that easier since you’d still need to program it. That said, there definitely needs to be a better selection/customizability for mechanical parts. Being unable to start a piston part way through its travel is absolutely ridiculous and makes piston engines vastly more difficult to build than they have any right being.
Please please PLEASE let us mod the victory animation into this. We need it.
allies appearing blue, enemies appearing red, and neutral crafts being green.
Previously enemies would turn red once locked. Is there a new designator to show a craft has been locked onto?
Also, does this mean that AI can be organized into teams? Previously if you spawned several aggressive craft they'd kill each other. On top of that, is the AI finally going to be less braindead? More ambitiously, will it be able to be given instructions on how to use craft with unusual controls (e.g. an airship that ascends and descends via throttle while using VTOL for engine control)? This is something the current AI is entirely incapable of doing.
Mech Invasion
@Hiiamhere We need you. Reverse Pacific Rim is go!
Orb Snatcher
This is a strange combination of SimplePlanes, Coin Runners from Mario Kart, and Clam Blitz from Splatoon. Colour me intrigued.
We plan to add more silly activities like these as time goes on.
I do hope so. Tank/Naval battles when?
When it comes to SimplePlanes, nothing is ever really out of the question here...
I sense an ounce, a smidge, of regret. This was supposed to be a plane game...!
@Randomplayer I mean, militant leftism was kinda Lenin's deal.
+1Though I'd say I was more on the bare minimum of militant antifascism.

This is just Earth that someone forgot to take out of their pocket before putting their trousers in the wash.
+1snip snip
+1@butterscotchpie I'm trying to figure out what happened to you.
+1You are a different person, right? Not Maja?
@KorKaiorWhatever ah

+1Yo ho ho
+1@Yish42 You're not verified as suitable to have that duty.
+1@KorKaiorWhatever There is definitely a dart board.
@keiyronelleavgeek566 ..,
+1Earliest I know of. Even still, not the beginning.
+1The cough syrup gag predates all, them lemons, and sometime later PandaFrog.
If it hasn't been named I propose that the scientific name for the Indonesian PandaFrog be made Ruood Endus
+1@Monarchii Yeah...
+1This may be an impossible task.
"Hm. A bronze rank, My, they look ambitious, heh."
+11.8 years later
"Oh."
@keiyronelleavgeek566 mhm sure
+1@keiyronelleavgeek566 was weird like that.
+1@Unwanted I spent so much time getting Monarchii’s PFP right.
+1@Monarchii It damn well better be! I am exhausted!
+1This was supposed to be a quick little doodle. This took HOURS. It is 8:12 AM and I still have stuff to do.
+1Curse my perfectionism!
@Monarchii After Manifest Destiny, and the end of the Native territories, the US had to make its own paths to follow.
+1The one they've been heading down for the last several decades has an awful lot of rakes on it.
@WexlyLufthartFlugzeugbau That’s gonna cost you extra.
+1@Boeing727200F Buy two and put the second one on top of the first one for more RPM.
@WexlyLufthartFlugzeugbau Call me.
+1Use a burner phone, though.
@GrowAGarden Sentient rock, mate.
+1@Yish42 My empathy is balanced out by my spite.

@GrowAGarden Nope. No mouth or digestive system.
+1I'm literally a rock.
Neat.
+1No bonus points for that, I'm afraid, but it looks good.
I'll have to try it out when I next get the chance.
Nice. I'll have to look later, I'm working on something rn so I want to keep momentum if I can manage.
+1@Boeing727200F Hey, that's the aim of the game, eh?
+1@GrowAGarden I can't eat anything :(
+1@Boeing727200F Impressive. Nonetheless, unnecessary.

@Monarchii silly descriptions are hard how do you do it?
