That said... if a model could only be used if it were on SP.com, perhaps that could work. After all, any model used (online at least) would've been submitted so it could be moderated.
The question would then be where the Moderators would draw the line. Hopefully in a place where I hypothetically wouldn't have to put up with a lobby full of anime girls with highly exaggerated proportions.
@Hahahahaahahshs
There would be penice in MINUTES.
Andrew Garrison himself said recently that anonymous posting was taken away from the site because of the then-unpunishable nature of the Great Penis Flood of 2014-2015.
This would be so much worse. It'd be VR chat all over again.
@Boeing727200F Go harass LunarEclipse. Place enough random pixels and you're bound to paint her house eventually. We (I) call this (as of right now) the "Etho's Birthday" method.
@YishFish42 Hm? Forgot engines could overspeed since they're usually on automatic trim.
Didn't know they had unique sounds. I've probably never heard that one before. Heh.
@SimpleStudent Agree on all.
@Michiganstatepolicethe2nd I disagree, the faint sound removes all the fun in a big gun. Granted, the fun parts of big guns don't exist in SP to begin with.
@Mrcooldude Gonna have to check it later.
@Boeing727200F Hm? Personally I think it sounds better, a much fuller and less annoying sound, and it's tied to the fire rate now.
@Mrcooldude Yes, Boeing did not take the splitting of their train well. I'm half-convinced that given the option they'd have sent Kenobi to the guillotine.
@Randomplayer The issue a lot of the time is that nothing is standardized. SP became less video game engineering and more actual engineering mixed with game design, since the most advanced craft were essentially a flight model built using mathematics wearing a plane-shaped decorative skin (a way of doing things that, if I'm to let my own opinions shine through for a moment, I quite strongly dislike; it's incredible disingenuous). Different builders would do this to varying extents. Some people did it to the max (were the actual functional part is a fuel tank, engine, and a couple wing parts), while some did it barely (maybe some modified drag or engine thrust here or there). Obviously the former is far more powerful than the latter since it rejects all normal limitations from SP engineering in favour of straight math.
On top of that, how do you determine that two aircraft are a match? A 6th gen UFO triangle is certainly above a 4th gen, but what about a budget 4th gen vs a very maneuverable and expensive 4th gen?
It really doesn't help that for some stupid reason respawning in place gives you zero preserved airspeed, meaning you just fall to Earth. If you're shot down you need to climb again from the ground.
@Kav There is singleplayer of course, but without the ability to actually make anything or explore much it's definitely the lesser mode. Multiplayer is the main draw at present.
Be sure to make good decisions.
Be responsible if you're carrying munitions; carelessly crashing nearby somebody and blowing them up one too many times while they're trying to do something may get you kicked from the server.
@Boeing727200F It was a while though. I did some stuff and managed to ride the train what seemed like halfway around the island (before it derailed randomly) before anyone else appeared, not counting someone who showed up for a minute and then left.
@Boeing727200F They were lined up against a metaphorical wall soon after, don't worry.
A while later HuskyDynamics and Yaris showed up. I was too busy chasing a train, though. Yaris left before I could fine them.
@COM9927 IIRC SP aircraft are constructed by the game from XML files, describing everything about the craft.
These can be modified directly, though nowadays the Overload interface is used in-game to change things such as part scale, mass, whether drag is calculated, or a number of other part-specific attributes.
Part health can be increased, though, as far as I'm aware, explosions entirely bypass part health and I think directly destroy connections, which in turn destroy the parts they were joining.
@SupremeDorian
It just occurred to me to ask, but is there a reason why only two inputs are accepted at once? Since coordinated flight is now a thing with the new wings and surfaces, it's rather troublesome to not be able to roll, yaw, and pitch all at the same time.
Wondering why this is the case in both SP1 and now SP2 as well? IIRC it's also a limitation in War Thunder, which leads me to suspect there may be some reason beyond technical issues.

@TheLoadingGorilla Some time ago I could do a little entirely improper French. Forgot it all though.
+1@LunarEclipseSP Saw something in the terrain so decided to make a sitting woman. Can't draw clothing to save my life.
+1@LunarEclipseSP @Boeing727200F How the FUCK do you draw clothes?!
+1guuh
+1@Rb2h yeah
+1@TheLoadingGorilla Very.
+1@intruder72 Masochist is an understatement.
+1@ZealousKestrel That's incomprehensible, but not very annoying past that.
+1@LunarEclipseSP Still haven't opened the first ones.
+1I have far more charges than I know what to do with. Seriously. I need an outlet.
he is shiting bulets

+1@Boeing727200F You already have USA and Canada, don't you?
+1Hm. UK, maybe?
heeh
+1@Mrcooldude Righty-O.
+1Server (and game) just crashed. Someone probably spawned a super nuke. It was barely open for a few minutes too.
@YishFish42 Hm? Forgot engines could overspeed since they're usually on automatic trim.

+1What?
+1@Boeing727200F I need to make a lawn chair to sit in while you lose your mind trying to get this thing to work.
+1Back to the old PFP too, I see.
Just out of frame in the second picture: Me hauling ass directly into every tree I came across.
+1@TheMouse For the record, I don't consider you a problem. You're one of the good ones.
+1@Boeing727200F I take it you're done.
+1@Boeing727200F You're speaking to the ruler of procrastination right now. I will procrastinate on EVERYTHING.
+1@LunarEclipseSP I see.
+1@LunarEclipseSP Not sure what I'm supposed to see. I see gacha game nonsense.
+1@SuperSuperTheSylph I couldn't make sense of it.
+1@LunarEclipseSP I looked up Nikke Doro, yes. Not fond of what I saw.
+1@SuperSuperTheSylph What?
Ah.
+1Gacha goonbait game. Yuck.
Upvote is for the craft itself, not for the source material. Even then, leaving it is highly reluctant.
Are you firing them at random people?

+1looks tasty
@Boeing727200F They will be lengthened inshallah
+1It did not end well for them.
+1@Boeing727200F Do not the train.
+1I will the train.
@Boeing727200F Except the stove; he can't cook.
