Id also recommend making the weapon bays open automatically on weapon selection, its pretty easy to add, but makes using your weapons much more enjoyable.
I’ll probably still make SP1 builds, since they would be compatible with both games and I already have a backlog of unfinished crafts. I think i’ll buy SP2 though, it looks to good to pass up. I don’t mind them making a new game as long as it’s reasonably priced, and as long as they don’t try to milk us for money with DLC’s like Trailmakers does to their community.
2 questions:
1. are helicopter engines banned, or is it just helicopter-type builds. Is it allowed to build a normal plane and power it with a helicopter engine, or use a helicopter engine/tailrotor on it?
2. regarding funky trees, is changing the input scale of engines not allowed since that also increases power?

@KSB24 you can take the horizontal speed and modify it to be a direction specific true air speed: ((rate(Latitude)*cos(Heading)+rate(Longitude)*sin(Heading))/(cos(abs(PitchAngle)))
I found this to be pretty useful because the output isn't affected by "Radar Jammers" as long as you orient them vertically. This lets you use funky trees for engine thrust curves and stuff.
sounds pretty good, if you want a more BRRRRT kinda sound, you can also add a delayed gun with FireGuns * floor(smooth(clamp01(FireGuns), FireGuns ? 1 / 0.075 : pow(10,10) )) to layer the sounds
they really need to add a xml variable for weapon firing order, so that you can control which weapon drops first in weapon bay.

as far as i know the order that weapons fire in is pretty much dark magic/esoteric knowledge, but the main order i’ve noticed it follows is outside to inside (X position), alternating left to right, then front to back (Z position), Y-position does not matter, (which often results in my weapon bay detonating violently as the top row of weapon is slammed into the bottom) but sometimes it just completely breaks this pattern and goes inside to outside or front to inside to back or sometimes just “a little bit of this and a little bit of that” random ahh order. I think copying/mirroring messes up the order because there’s a logical error in the code, and that rapidly spirals out of control as you add more weapons.
also i found this cool site for getting ideas on designs here it’s got tons of great images, as well as some interesting info.
@Kikikokikomarumaru15000 @Graingy i think he is referring to “loyal wingman drone” like the collaborative combat aircraft (CCA) concept which would basically be a drone that can help assist the main aircraft.

making a good one in SP would be hard but you could probably start with a “formation flight” like this video and work from there
