Here are one observation of SP dogfighting if you'd like to do something like this in the future:

If both planes gets destroyed at the same time, it counts as a victory for "your plane"

This won't matter usually unless someone makes a suicide plane, I suppose.
To counter planes which nuke the map, it might be wise to have an even number of rounds with planes taking turns being the "enemy". Draws can be decided using sudden death or something.
