Overview

The LK-7A3 Phylakiton is Lykania’s next generation upgrade to the LK-7 main battle tank, designed to dominate modern battlefields through a combination of heavy firepower, advanced protection systems, and superior mobility. Named after the Phylakitai, elite military officers from Ptolemaic Tangala (Egypt), the Phylakiton represents the Lykanian Army's shield. Its angular turret and low-profile hull reduce its radar and visual signature, while composite armor and active protection systems give it unmatched survivability. Armed with a high-velocity 120 mm smoothbore gun, a coaxial machine gun, and a remotely operated 12.7 mm roof-mounted MG, the Phylakiton is capable of engaging enemy armor, fortifications, and infantry with precision.

Background and Development

Development of the LK-7A3 began in the late 2000s as a response to lessons learned during the Kalmuz and First Lykanian Civil conflicts, which exposed limitations in Lykania’s aging LK-5 and LK-6 fleets. Drakon and the Lykanian Army collaborated to design a vehicle that could not only outgun but also outlast peer adversaries. Major improvements included a fully digital fire-control system with hunter-killer capability, modular armor packages, and a hybrid powertrain that reduces thermal signature while providing excellent acceleration. The first prototypes rolled out in 2012, with extensive trials focusing on urban warfare survivability, off-road mobility, and networked battlefield integration.

Operational History

The LK-7A3 entered service in late 2017 and was first blooded during the Cascadian Uprising, where platoons of Phylakitons provided direct support to mechanized infantry and spearheaded counteroffensives in dense urban environments. The most famous instance of the LK-7 was when "Midas' Touch," an LK-7A2, managed to destroy a Libertine APC from 2.6 miles away, the longest kill by a Lykanian tank ever. Crews praised the tank’s ability to rapidly acquire targets, survive multiple ATGM ambushes thanks to its hard-kill APS, and maintain battlefield presence with minimal downtime. Today, the Lykanian Army operates more than 450 Phylakitons across three armored divisions, with ongoing upgrades including improved ERA blocks, next-gen programmable ammunition, and AI-assisted targeting to keep the platform relevant into the 2040s.

Gameplay

Alright, then. Here she is. My first ever, true, somewhat-realistic tank. This thing was a pain to get right. I probably rebuilt the turret more than 10 times in the beginning. Don't even get me started with the stabilizer... I wanted to make a tank that looked and felt like a true MBT, but would still be fun and simple to play with. There's not much more to it than that. The only remarkable detail is the stabilizer itself, which, surprisingly, works pretty good. AG. 1 turns on all the lights I added for detail. Just a little note. The game does say that it only has a performance cost of around 1,000+, but I wouldn't trust it. This thing does slow down my laptop quite a pinch. Not entirely sure why, but it does. So, just to be safe, I'm going to mark this one as not mobile friendly, unless you have one powerful enough. Alright, that's it. Enjoy.
