    Special Notice

Today is May 4th, May 4th and 5th are special days in The Netherlands.

On may 4th we remember all who have fallen in the Second World War either fighting for freedom or due to prosecution, not only in the Netherlands but in all of Europe.
We also remember those who have fallen in the Asian theater of WW2.
We also remember all of those who died while participating in peace operations where the Netherlands participated in and all other victims of war.
We honor them with 2 minutes of silence at 20:00, one minute of silence is for those who have fallen, the other minute of silence is for those who have returned but suffered the consequences of war for years to come.
At 20:00 the whole country is silent, no flights are allowed to depart or arrive, people pull over their cars on the highway, radiostations go silent and bars and restaurants stop their service while all of the guests go silent.

On may 5th we celebrate freedom while remembering that freedom is something that is fragile.
Freedom is celebrated with festivals with artists which are ambassadors of freedom, the festivals are almost always free or low priced and the government subsidizes them.
The artists which are the ambassadors of freedom, each share the stories from people who have been in conflict zones to underline the fact that freedom is fragile.

We also invite the veterans from the allied forces to the Netherlands to celebrate the freedom, which they have brought us, with us.
Especially the Canadian veterans have a special place in our hearts, as they have liberated us and the actions of the Canadian government, who turned a piece of a Canadian hospital into International territory so that a Dutch princess could be born and receive the Dutch nationality. For that we send tulips to Canada every year since the end of the war.

@Solent it is finished, it’s not perfect but it looks pretty good. I’ll publish it on May 5th together with the first batch of 757-300’s.

I’m afraid of triangles after this build.

@Solent I’m currently stuck at the tail, the tail design is an absolute nightmare to make. The fuselage is already done though.

@Dissent3R , @Solent , I am currently working on the BAe146-family, as well as a celebratory livery (currently working on one which I will release as soon as I hit gold).

@Aviationguy24 Thank you, I try to make their controllability as good as possible.

  • Boeing 767-300ER (1 Overwing Exit) GE CF6 7 months ago

@Aviationguy24 The sub versions of the 767-300ER are pretty similar so it is mostly shifting some doors around and fitting the different engines under them afterwards.

Making the custom engines is a bit of a pain tho, but once they are made it is quite easy to swap them between the different versions.

  • Flight Control update regarding all versions of my Boeing 777-200ER/200LR/200F/300ER 7 months ago

@BaconEggs Previously the aircraft started slipping during every roll due to the fact that I recreated that the spoilers go up during rolling, the yaw input should dampen it a bit.
It’s something that can also be noticed on the real 777 (especially the 777-300ER) where you might feel the yaw inputs to stabilize the aircraft, if you are seated in the back of the aircraft.

Also, what a pleasant surprise to see you here

@keiyronelleavgeek566 do you maybe have some suggestions for Canadian liveries? I was thinking about doing an Air Inuit 737-200C, however the livery has some complexities that might cause some issues.

I’m also still think about making a WestJet 737MAX, as WestJet has such a cool livery (IMHO).

  • Flight Control update regarding all versions of my Boeing 777-200ER/200LR/200F/300ER 7 months ago
