    @PatrikiosDesiderius

No apologies needed! I actually sometimes love these questions because it forces me to expand on my writing!

    1) I have no knowledge or information about Lochiwian aircraft designs or existence of them, it was just written by the primary author for Lochiwa's (@OverlordPrime) to base off of, much like how the Pawston Port Massacre was written by the head author for me to base off of. So I don't really have access or have any direct contributions to Lochiwa's written history except through collabs, I just team up and coordinate with him when needed like how the Second Great War ends, the One Hundred Felino-Lochiwian War which causes extreme racial tension between Humans, Lupari, Felinors and any 'non-humans' (derogatory term,) within Lochiwa and beyond!

Sidenote 1: It's not a formal workspace, or even a workspace at all, it's just a group of people who chose their respective countries and they can expand the history of said chosen nations lol

1a) Nekoshima did double down and never backed out on defense (e.g.: Nekoshima holding out against the Allies from 1938 to 1946,) so they don't have any outright 'aggressive' capabilities even to this day —or 2014 if following Universe rules because the writing strictly ends there for all of us, we literally can't write beyond that year.

    2) I was basing my history from an 'unreliable' in-universe book —that I wrote :P— named "History of Nekoshima", and I do believe it was an exaggeration of numbers and casualties by historians before the book was written at the time. Technology also kinda ran differently for the Imperium, from 900s to 1500s —as usual,— they were predominantly melee-based fighters. And by the 1600s and 1750s, Lochiwians may have (unconfirmed by author,) had firearms and black powder while the Imperium was lagging behind in technology with their lack thereof of guns.
    __
    3) Overextended conflicts can bring famine, and in turn, sickness. There're two sicknesses that plagued the archipelago, one was caused by the famine, and the other was caused by invading Lochiwians in the 1750s. The first one, caused by famine, let's call it the 'Tailfall Sickness of 1687' because of some records of tails falling off of sick people, was not only caused by hunger, but also a mix of viruses contracted from feces, rats, floods, etc. it's one of the major factors for the 1711 protests. The 1750s Lupari Plague was brought by invading Lochiwian lupari soldiers who came with humans to fight the Imperium, it was a contributor to the high, albeit exaggerated deaths at the end of the war and didn't stop until long after the surrender and collapse of the Imperium Felinis.

    4) These events were written by the head author and I have no written records yet on how it happened, but since it was there I included it into the book. I haven't fleshed them out yet but I think it's less about being related or relevant to the real life events (Boston Tea Party and Massacre,) like the Pawston Harbour Massacre or the Burning of Salmon Bay, and more of a parodical name referencing the events that occurred in real life. So....yeah, it's separate.

Sidenote 2: I might rewrite some stuff in my document so I can hard canon these errors and exaggerations.

Me note: This actually forced me to start writing for Nekoshima again. Before the questions I didn't have any written in populations for Nekoshima so I subconsciously wrote "population went from millions to thousands" because I lacked foundation written before that was written. Amateur writer moment. Thank you.

    @PatrikiosDesiderius
Good Morning! Apologies for not replying as soon as possible, I forgot about people actually asking questions regarding my writing (moreso busy playing a certain horse game) lol

    1. I haven't the proper or sufficient knowledge regarding that. But! I think they occur not just because of culture, but also because of many factors like religion, beliefs, traditions, social structures(?) etc. Now, I think they sometimes (if not rarely) conflicts (hence why there're few examples of,) occur is because of many factors as well. Some prefer staredowns, some prefer fighting. There's also the large bodies of water —or bodies of water in general— separating territories or islands. The capabilities of making boats or ships may be limited. Or, in modern day, the high cost of such a conflict.
    2. Splendid question! (Thanks for asking!!) There has been significant conflicts between Lochiwa and Nekoshima, specifically the Imperium Felinis. Little loredump: "The Imperium Felinis is a thalassocratic empire founded by a coalition of catfolk Felinor tribes and states in 943 from Nekoshima and Uojima."
The conflicts (currently written, probably not all of it) are:
      A. One Hundred Felino-Lochiwian War (1643-1753)
1a. A war between the Imperium Felinis and the Lochiwian Empire that spanned from 1643 when "the Imperium invaded the Lochiwian Empire, its goal to expand into the Eastern continent and establish a colony."
2a. To 1753, when: "After the successful invasion of the empire by the Lochiwian Empire, the number of Felinor imperialis, the main population of the Imperium Felinis was reduced tremendously from millions to thousands, the empire's government collapses, leaving the archipelago in chaos and eternal war."
      B. The Great War (1910-1920)

      • Although a minor power during the war: "In 1915, the Lochiwian Empire and their allies invaded Nekoshima, robbing them of their resources and cultural treasures, upheaval and unrest heightened, causing the government to collapse in less than a year of occupation."

1b. "26 January 1915, The country of lochiwa, After more than half of a year of mobilization would rain down troops on Nekoshiman soil. Capturing the island and pillaging as many cities as they could, Warcrimes would run rampant and the major event of The Pawston Harbor Massacre and The Burning of Salmon Bay."
2b. Until: "30 May 1919, As the former axis nations of Arvia, Vecia and Lochiwa left the war. The Island country of Nekoshima was freed by the Dragonborn of Poloskia and the people of Lucida. Freeing more than Four hundred thousand people in Nekoshima, Prisoners of war and Civilians alike. Causing the largest Coffee celebration ever recorded in history."

    3. Going from established lore from the Nekoshima, as a nation, was recovering from The Great War. In 1915 Lochiwian troops rained down (idk how, planes innit,) on Nekoshima and essentially blitzed through the country because it had little to no factories made to build tanks, armour, or aircraft at the time to counter the invading forces, with the government collapsing in a year or so. So, by 1921, the Second Republic of Nekoshima emerged and pacified the whole archipelago (that was dominated by warlords, independent provinces, and cities,) both militarily (foreign aid and domestic militia) and diplomatically, after the complete unification of the Felinor Archipelago, they did NOT want another air invasion or another governmental collapse, so they began their reindustrialisation. With help from foreign countries like Lucida, they learned aircraft building (though Nekoshiman aircraft were literal paper maché with engines then,) and in the late 1930s, the country specialized in that department. The Navy itself was literally abandoned with only few ports and ships, as stated in the description of the NT6, they had an aircraft carrier, but couldn't build more. So their Navy sucked, they knew it, they abandoned it for pure air power.

@ThomasRoderick I think the Lochiwan would decide on what to do with their aircraft, but I do believe it would be a BnZ with focus on speed.
    .
Yes! Tail codes of the aircraft are [Region A.Base/Carrier no.]-[Aircraft No.] for simplicity!
    .
That and Nekoshima was more focused on reconstruction, recovering from the First Great War and cafés than warfare pre-1938, they were—and still is—known as the Café capital.
    .
Yup, even wrote up an entire history of Nekoshima without magic because it was forgotten by the author lol

  • NT6-35 "Flying Sabre" 3 months ago

@ThomasRoderick Lochiwans (they might post soon I hope) are predominantly human and Lupari (dog version of Felinors, four ears again yes but they are significantly taller and perhaps larger than average humans—especially—felinors) Lochiwa is absolutely massive but was separated by a massive ocean. The was between the two began in Feb 17, 1938 with the Lochiwans attack on Purrl Harbour (I'm not ashamed of that name lmao) and then was attacked again in Dec 8 1940, which is when Nekoshima began fortifying.
    .
Nekoshima had the advantage of being defensive and not having to dump their money on carriers because their archipelagos are significantly safer and more familiar compared to the open ocean, and Lochiwa only began their invasion mid-early 1940s, with their first attempt in 1943.
    .
I can also relate with writing things and making them logical and grounded, so I end up forgetting the universe they are set in is fantasy, with magic and stuff so I just facepalm when I go the lengths of researching for realistic stuff and then realise I can do whatever cos there's magic.

  • NT6-35 "Flying Sabre" 3 months ago

@ThomasRoderick Tbh the human ears are —again,— an accident when I made the species so I just doubled down on it and said: "Ah screw it, they have four ears now" and kept it lol

They are indeed based off the Imperial Japanese but less so with imperialist tendencies as Nekoshima is a Republic under attack by Lochiwa, not the other way around (Nekoshima is also tiny btw,) so their war isn't really 'Second Great War', it was moreso 'Nekoshiman War of Survival' because the Lochiw(i)an attack was premeditated and racially (more a grudge) driven.

The sole Nekoshiman carrier in the description was asked off the Hoshō-class carrier because it was more fitting for their economy and stuff.

~Deffy being a lore nerd again lmao

@ThomasRoderick They are the typical cathumans seen in anime but they have four ears, cat and human. Also, Nagoya accent sounds rather adorable, TIL there is a Nagoya dialect lol

The Hayabusa canopy and specs was a coincidence though, similar to the intake. I thought the Zero's intake was part of the cowling and I didn't even see that one, she was based fully on the Zero but lighter and possibly more fragile and explosive, but she does end up sharing more stuff than I thought with the Ki-43 Hayabusa!

I guess coincidences, no matter how many, can be more than surprising!
