Overview
The D-55F Anubis Mk.2, known simply as the Anubis, is a Lykanian 4.5th generation technology demonstrator. Designed to test the capabilities of an inverted wing, the Anubis proved a major success. Information taken from the tests of the Anubis would later result in the D-30A Thanatos. 2 airframes were built. While one still flies as part of the Black Site Paladin test Squadron, the second was moved to a museum in Lykania's capital, Norwalk AD.

Background and Development
Developed alongside the D-50F Keraunos, the Anubis sought to test the plausibility of an inverted-wing aircraft. Built at the same factory as the D-50s, the first D-55F left the assembly line only a few months before the first D-50. They were sent to Riccardi Air Force Base, a few miles out from the city of Odessa on Lykania's west coast. They underwent extensive testing, including air-to-air and air-to-ground testing, as well as dogfighting with Lykania's nimblest aircraft at the time, the D-19F. The Anubis exceeded in all 3 categories. Not long after the LKAF requested more D-55s, the Keraunos project went overbudget, forcing Parliament to shut the project down and prevent Drakon from commencing any new projects until the debt was repaid. After the second D-55, serial NX997, suffered some damage during transport, it was retired and sent to the Henry Guillard Memorial Museum in Norwalk AD. The second became part of the Black Site Paladin test Squadron on Dosch Island.

Operational History
The first D-55F was delivered to Riccardi AFB in October of 2006, with the second one joining in March, 2007. They underwent extensive testing there until around 2016. In January of 2017, NX997 suffered some severe damage during transport after a bird strike. After nearly crashing-landing at Oxton AFB, in Ostervik, the plane was repaired to the point of flight, but was deemed inoperable in combat situations. It was then flown to Norwalk National AFB, where it would be retired and sent to the Henry Guillard Memorial Museum. As for the second airframe, NX996, it was sent to Black Site Paladin, on Dosch Island. In 2020, during the Cascadian Uprising, NX996 was deployed, out of necessity, to Odessa. Though unconfirmed, it is believed to have downed a single Libertine fighter. As of today, NX996 is part of Black Site Paladin's mock Aggressor squadron. It was involved in the testing of the D-49F Osiris II and the D-07F Nyx II's flight testing.

Gameplay
Finally decided to finish it. It wasn't even that challenging, I just had to take a massive hiatus due to life getting really busy. But, I finally scrounged up enough free time to finish the Anubis up. There's not much too it, just a revamp of my original Anubis, which I lowkey found ugly. Slapped some of my custom missiles on there, too. Enjoy!
