1 Part Afterburner

Auto Credit Based on SkyJayTheFirst's 1-Part Jet Afterburner Visual Effect

BEHOLD! SOMETHING NO ONE ON SP HAS EVER MADE BEFORE!

NO MODS!

LOW PERFORMANCE COST!

EASY TO USE!

AND LOOKS STUNNING!

There have been a lot of things made within this game by many lovely members of this wonderful community, from a Single-Part HUD by PlanariaLabs, to different radars, to many other special effects. However, as I delved deeper into the search bar that this website has to offer, I discovered something that everyone else missed.

Seriously, I did not find ANYONE who made a 1-part afterburner effect!

So given this- and the fact that the alternative methods of making afterburners are either hideous or too complicated- I decided to do it myself!

How Does It Work?

I've programmed it so that it's activated through an input titled, "Afterburner". You can find this input via Variables Setters when you download this craft.

I currently have it set so that the afterburner flames are only visible, if the throttle is at 100%, and if VTOL is above 0; similar to how I've programmed afterburners on my builds in the past.

If you'd like to change this, all you have to do is change the conditions for this activation. Maintain this format:

smooth(clamp01(X),0.5)

X = Your own input.

How to Customize the Colors?

I've organized the FT codes of this afterburner in a way that you can very easily customize the colors of the afterburners to your liking, whether you want them to be orange, blue, green, etc! Each color is determined by 6 points of the label's code, so you can decide if you want a violet tint to your fiery red-orange, for instance. All are set to this format:

<color=#XXXXXX>

X = 1-9 or A-F.

Other than that, enjoy and be sure to let me know how you customized your own afterburners!

Thank you to @PlaneFlightX for helping me code this via Discord!

    @winterro @SkyJayTheFirst ive tried to make vortices without mods before by using VTOL engines and it has a pink tint to it, and i kinda messed up the code by using Gforce instead of AOA, so id love to see it done without mods and without the pink tint

    @winterro if you mean what the wings make during high AOA, I have considered it. Maybe in the near future.

    Would you also be able to make a white smoke effect? Jets cannot make pure white smoke and it looks odd in some creations.

    @hpgbproductions as far as I can tell, no one's used a label to do it this way.

    And thanks!

    @Rjenteissussy I didn't know you were still around. You could've used this for your Su-57, maybe.

    @SkyJayTheFirst It looks interesting. I'm not one to use others' subassemblies if I can help it (what worth does a feature reflect if I didn't create it?), so this is of little value to me, but it's an interesting development nonetheless.

    Label-based afterburner? How queer. I must notify the developers posthaste!
