*FULL COCKPIT* Vickers Wellington Mk.III Coastal Command

15.7k Charlie2613  5.7 years ago

Ace of spades. I re did the wellington I previously made pretty much changing every block from the original. Its more parts than I would have liked but reducing them was too much effort for the ipad, this was near the limit of what my ipad could take in the build. Anyway the Vickers wellington, the most produced bomber of the war for the british. AG1 is for flaps down, AG2 moves the nose gun up and down (did move side to side as well but that stioppednand my ipad was too laggy for me to have the patience to fix it) AG3 and trim to open the bomb bay. Carries 12x250lb bombs

@EternalDarkness thanks for the feedback, I can fix that by changing the angle of the tailplane but I had run out of patience with this build as I have started something else now! If I did change this I would have to reupload it again wouldn’t I?

Gosh, this is good...for next time, would probably slow down the rotator for the tailwheel so it’s a tiny bit slower and less squirrelly on the ground.

Beautiful Wellie, love the subtle color palette...one thing though, AG3 plus trim to open the bomb bay also causes the aircraft to pitch up...

I don’t need to download this to upvote and spotlight! (I can’t download anyway as my ‘pad runs on coal fired steam) Tip top job, lovely representation of the ‘wimpy’!

This is a great looking build. However, it has some problems. Trim up is required to keep the plane level, but it prevents opening of bomb bay. Nose is constantly trying to go up. Also, use tags. That way, your plane stands a chance of being stumbled upon by someone browsing, for example, "Bomber" tag.
