Planes from it’s day never had cockpits and building accurate replicas was difficult because nudging didn’t exist, you couldn’t scale parts, and you could only adjust fuselage blocks by 0.5 intervals without the ability to type values in. This replica is mind blowing amazing for it’s time. However it got to 1000 because people were congratulating it for being the most upvoted plane by upvoting it lol @TOHmaster
Just one thing, if the stream is gonna be weekly, would you guys make it so that on the home page, instead of the planes staying on there for 5 days, make them stay for 7? Because if it’s only 5 days, planes uploaded on Saturday and Sunday wouldn’t be featured there which may be a bit of a shame
I wouldn’t exactly call an AN-225 that is critically underweight, has infinite fuel, can fly at 35mph and climb vertically while having over 420 upvotes “criminally underrated”.
I mean, sure, the detail is insane and it looks great, but personally, I think this plane is a monument that people only upvote on looks and don’t give a crap about how things fly. Also there are other planes now that have even more detail and quality and also fly really well that have far less upvotes.
No offence though. CjrLdy’s other creations are great, and I think we can agree that he is one of, if not, the best builder on the site. His creations are amazing, specially his later ones. :)
I think the most insane spot I’ve managed to land it on the top of the mast of the new USS Beast without smashing my nose. Also landing on the back of the WWII destroyer without falling off was pretty difficult too lol.
One thing I find is an issue with high players is they test the manoeuvrability of their plane at max speed and give the plane really weak pitch to make it have realistic manoeuvrability at these speeds... which is wrong. Planes have a thing called an Maximum Manoeuvring speed (Vma) which is the fastest speed the plane can fly at with full control input before the wings snap off. Measuring manoeuvrability above this speed means the plane is much less manoeuvrable than they really should be.
The worst thing about this is people tuning their planes to fly right at these speeds makes the planes fly really badly at low speeds, like, planes simply lifting off the runway instead of the nose wheel coming off before the mains, a maximum angle of attack of like 2 degrees, and really stiff, boring handling.
A DG-1000 has a maximum G load of 4.5G, but it’s really easy to get up to that. If you pulled up to the max at VNE, you could possibly pull 10, but your wings would snap off.
But yeah I agree that a fighter jet shouldn’t be able to whip a 360* turn in just 4 seconds lol.
Well said man. This is exactly how I feel with the situation. I personally find the building style of SR2 incredibly frustrating for what I like to do. It’s oversimplified and doing detail is infuriating. I believe that Jundroo should work on both games separately and enhance them both to make them excel in their own way.
Probably by having previous 3D modeling knowledge, only getting on the website when you become kinda professional at SP (ie, have played it for hundreds of hours previously), be super active on the site and advertising their builds on Discord servers.
Gee I wish there was...
Hey @AndrewGarrison do you reckon you could make it so you have the ability change the input for brakes in 1.8? And maybe add the ability for two inputs on stuff? It'd be a lifesaver... :D
My apology post got removed... well I guess I’ve gotta apologise.
+5Lmao
+5Using fuselage blocks will help
