  • Flying boat SR Vulture MkII 6.9 6.7 years ago

    @FranticMatty you might like this one (lots of moving bits :) )

  • Avro Venator B Mk IV 3.7 6.8 years ago

    @regularpit oh ok. Mby it wasn't different enough to meet the rules

  • Flying boat SR Vulture MkII 6.9 6.8 years ago

    @MethaManAircraft thanks :) might get 20 votes for this one... :(

  • Flying boat SR Vulture MkII 6.9 6.8 years ago

    @Snape93 it's just sensitive on rudder, float needs to be retracted for land take off as well.

  • Flying boat SR Vulture MkII 6.9 6.8 years ago

    @Snape93 on the water or land?

  • Avro Venator B Mk IV 3.7 6.8 years ago

    @regularpit what do you mean?

  • Supermarine Seafang F.MK.33 seaplane 1.4 6.8 years ago

    @Sarpanitu yeah the seafang was an evolution of the spitfire for naval operations (carrier based) and yes they put floats on a early mark spitfire (probably slowed it a lot) I just combined the two :)

  • Supermarine Seafang F.MK.33 seaplane 1.4 6.8 years ago

    @Sarpanitu thanks :) I based a lot of it from the real life spitfire on floats here which as you can see maintained the radiator inlets under the wing / chin.

  • Supermarine Spirit (SBD design) 3.5 6.8 years ago

    @AWESOMENESS360 no worries, enjoy :)

  • Supermarine Type 310 flying boat (s-b-d)3.4 6.8 years ago

    @Othawne he is v creative, he came up with the original design I just keep altering it with my own inspiration.

  • Supermarine Spirit (SBD design) 3.5 6.8 years ago

    @AWESOMENESS360 you mean like this

  • Yakovlev Yak-38 6.8 years ago

    Looks good from what I can see bit it's always worthwhile using your 3 screenshots / pictures. It wheels should also be further forward I.e. just behind cog/com

  • Supermarine Seafang F.MK.33 seaplane 1.4 6.8 years ago

    @wonkapilot yeah and the wheel bay doors, arrestor hook etc, i went for the experimental conversion look.... or i may have just forgot =)

  • Flying wings 6.8 years ago

    @Mustang51 yeah ive just sent you some on your build.

  • Flying wings 6.8 years ago

    i used some shrunk wings as stabilisers as per what tully said below, in essence they act like v large fins without being massive. download one of my builds and nick the small wing (scaled to 0.2 of a normal wing) it will let you alter its size like normal)

  • I have a slight problem and need help 6.8 years ago

    mine worked when i put some words in the comments box, when it was blank it didnt work, (might just be a coincidence) otherwise it worked on the third attempt yesterday and first today.

  • Aircraft 59 Mk4 6.8 years ago

    @Tang0five not bad at all, I'll dl it when I get back to my of tomorrow . Why use a gyro though?

  • SBD Hawker Hound MK1 2.9 6.8 years ago

    @Mustang51 yeah you thought the same as me, but I understand his view as well. Tangy put a few reasoned comments over and he was nice enough once he realised I had told him but yeah they are a compliment to his designs and I've been careful to credit him with the designs.

  • SBD Hawker Hound MK1 2.9 6.8 years ago

    @Mustang51 hes rippedoffdog but i dont think he uses it, i tried messaging about a few builds not so long ago.

  • Supermarine Spirit (SBD design) 3.5 6.8 years ago

    @Mustang51 thanks, i altered it recently here and i think i improved on it anyway.

  • SBD Hawker Hound MK1 2.9 6.8 years ago

    @Mustang51 no worries, i would point out that he likes to be asked if someone is to replicate one of his designs (i found out the hard way...)

  • Supermarine Seafang F.MK.33 seaplane 1.4 6.8 years ago

    @Tang0five yeah that second set of rotators was necessary, i was just going to disable the retract mechanism so it was like the real spitfire on floats, but i thought this was querky and feasible so i just roated them a bit like the wingtip floats on the saunders roe fighter did in real life.

  • SBD Hawker Hound MK1 2.9 6.8 years ago

    @Mustang51 Small-Brown-Dog, the guy who draws up these aircraft (that i then put into SP). here

  • Supermarine Seafang F.MK.33 seaplane 1.4 6.8 years ago

    @Tang0five thanks, at last some comments that make sense =) Ive just got a new PC so no sub assemblies yet (my backup from win 7 wouldnt load on win 10....) Be warned though, i like these floats so they may make a further appearance.

  • SBD Hawker Hound MK1 2.9 6.8 years ago

    @Mustang51 thanks, sbd has been doing some airfix artwork recently :) if only they notice.

  • Overload 6.8 years ago

    @WNP78 Thanks, I'll give it a go.

  • Fairey P.75 STOL 5.2 6.8 years ago

    @WarHawk95 as far as i can gather, this design pre-dates tsr2 but may have been a competing design or design to an earlier spec (obv without the bits I made up)

  • Trumpeter 1/72 Su-33 Flanker-D WIP:1 6.8 years ago

    You need to use discord for pics instead of crappy imgur.

  • Mirage F2000 6.9 Ramex Delta 6.8 years ago

    @F104Deathtrap Thanks, I'm still struggling to get votes for builds like this, the original one only got 40 odd but nvm. Thanks again for your support

  • AW.681 STOL 6.8 years ago

    All this for only 223 parts.. Wow.

  • JB-9D Narwhal 6.8 years ago

    @LegnaK sorry I just realised how much gibberish my last post was. I meant having the wheels so far back would affect how it rotated on take off I.e. how long it would take before you could get the nose up and how smoothly that would also be. I had to split the bomb bay on a few of my builds to get the wheel position right.

  • XML help please 6.8 years ago

    @CRJ900Pilot all my builds have shrunk wings in them, just dl one and take it appart

  • Is it possible to add buoyancy to a wheel? 6.8 years ago

    I made my hurricane float on the wheel bay doors by editing the buoyancy in xml. Made it look like the wheels where causing it to float

  • Is it possible to add buoyancy to a wheel? 6.8 years ago

    Not that I've figured out, I add it to the axle the wheel connects to

  • Fairey P.75 STOL 5.2 6.8 years ago

    @8bitgamer33 it's trimmed for landing and has a trim tab for everything else.

  • Dehavilland Sea Hornet MK53 3.6 6.8 years ago

    @ThePrototype 8@Carbonfox1 @Tang0five Thanks guys, I wasn't massively keen on the final looks but I was mainly interested in proof of concept and mechanics, thinking of adapting the tech to a supersonic bomber now :)

  • B.20 Coastal Command 6.8 years ago

    Looks great as always.

  • HAF Mirage 2000-5 MkII 6.8 years ago

    @freedompilot98 yeah no probs.

  • Panavia Tornado IDS 6.8 years ago

    Nose looks a bit stumpy and a few decals wouldn't hurt but barring that v nice attempt.

  • 3x3x1.25 ducted fan 6.8 years ago

    @Anawin094 just using maths and rotating parts.

  • Supermarine Spirit MK2 5.3 6.8 years ago

    @ThomasRoderick nah doesn't work as you can still fire before they fully open thus still not idiot proof. I'd rather keep them separate.

  • Supermarine Spirit MK2 5.3 6.8 years ago

    @DeathStalker627 I wouldn't be surprised, he hasn't posted much for a while though..

  • HAF Mirage 2000-5 MkII 6.8 years ago

    @F104Deathtrap @CRJ900Pilot thanks :)

  • HAF Mirage 2000-5 MkII 6.8 years ago

    @Dimkal it looks good, im starting to think i should spend more time on each build but i just dont know where i would spend it (plus i get bored easily), this one was done in a few days and the part count is still higher than i was aiming for.

  • Tracks 6.8 years ago

    @MOPCKOEDNISHE ive used them now on this awesome mod, pity about the inability to mirror but i got there =)

  • Supermarine 400 Bomber 4.4 6.8 years ago

    @Jacksonian07 always handy to be able to outrun incoming missiles :)

  • Model Building 6.8 years ago

    Plastic kits? If so I also have a few built.

  • Fine Tune Control Surfaces 6.8 years ago

    @atgxtg the angle they pitch is unrealistic, reduce it by 10degrees and thus problem reduced or resolved. Alternatively use custom surfaces with rotator and v small wings in them (this allows large movement but small effect)

  • Fine Tune Control Surfaces 6.8 years ago

    You can fine tune amount of control surface movement

  • WH40k Whirlwind Mortar Tank 5.0 6.8 years ago

    @AWESOMENESS360 lol how can you not know? Saying that warhammer 40k chaos gate was a game I spent my teenage years playing hence I knew of it. The bottom bit is from the game, the top bit I made up based on some imperial designs (again from wh), that poor bridge doesn't stand a chance against those shells ;(
