@AdlerSteiner so im thinking about entering the challenge (well ive actually built my entry) but was wondering if you could have a look to make sure it was valid first before i perfect it pic here
@BoeyingOfficial I didn't say to change the black background, to be fair the stock background is miles better than some of the custom ones, the starry one hurts my head.
@Mustang51 thanks :) it's funny that it's this one that's highest on my votes, I built it ages ago so I know I could do better now but people really seemed to like it.
@Mustang51 yeah it's handy, if you put a lot of effort into something why not reuse It, I usually end up adding and changing bits anyway. Look at that last rocket fighter I did, the entire nose was from my tornado 2, the launcher was from a previous build but I altered it all to suit the new build. They are just an extension of the base building blocks :) now if only I could find a way to get 10 more votes on my canberra it will be my first 100upvote build....
@flyingsteve88 ah, Yeah, the roundels are a pain, i made this one for something else but it fit this, hence it's actually dated (stopped using that roundels in 1939ish)
@Type2volkswagen yeah same. Weird. I had problems for a while with the front counterweight causing it to blow up on release but the booster behaved itself from the start. The booster chute pulls it down away from the plane as well because of the booster angle. Glad you fixed it though, things like that annoy me (especially when they occur after posting and not during testing)
@Type2volkswagen weird, I tested it for ages and never had the problem, I must have done nearly 50 flights as I was messing about with balance and the like, sorry. The entire launch rail was on true for disable collisions so the booster shouldn't have mattered, where you pressing 1 first to angle the launch?
@EternalDarkness thanks :) the trim was a pain, the weights vary so much with the jettison of the rockets speed and altitude, hence trim tab (it does have a moving ballast weight for when main engines are jettisoned and counter weight jettisons with the booster, but yeah trim tab needed.
Use the mod to nudge all the detachers over, remove bombs, add torps to bottom of detachers, nudge back in, nudge front walls detachers and torps forward
@ChiChiWerx thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Saunders roe played with the concept of a land based rocket fighter post war but used a small jet engine for recovery to base. They would definitely be a hit and run concept but that's what was deemed best for bomber interception at the time hence the late war German aircraft types (me163, natter etc.)
@The1Big1Finger1111 @Zoomzoom999 the hinge is for you to attach to your plane, if used correctly it opens the bay to 20 degrees ready to drop the bombs. The chutes allow you to be lower than normal when dropping the bombs as it slows the fall of the bombs and thus increases the distance from you to the explosion.
@Stingray yeah I thought about that and surface mounting under wings but I like the bomb idea as otherwise the fus was a big empty shell. The real Sunderland had depth charges on retractable side racks which gave me the idea
@AdlerSteiner so im thinking about entering the challenge (well ive actually built my entry) but was wondering if you could have a look to make sure it was valid first before i perfect it pic here
@BlackhattAircraft thanks, the question was ambiguous though so I assumed an sp build would count :)
@Tang0five And thats just with a canopy, imagine the high jinks when attached to a plane =)
@Mustang51 well 13 votes kinda says space battleships ain't a popular topic... you want a sneàk peak at my next plane?
@BoeyingOfficial I didn't say to change the black background, to be fair the stock background is miles better than some of the custom ones, the starry one hurts my head.
@Mustang51 yeah I thought about that, but the angled fus is a pain hence why I havnt touched an f35 or f22
@Mustang51 lol this one was all new due to the sheer size (if I remember correctly)
@Mustang51 yep. I remember seeing the vid of the tsr2 taking off and out accelerating the lightning, oh what if...
@Mustang51 I borrowed a book from my dad which was about German secret bomber prijects here, the series is well worth collecting.
@Mustang51 lol I'm third and fourth on cold war Now, you can keep first.
@Mustang51 help yourself, this wasn't fictional just never got past the final design stage due to the war progressing badly for the third Reich
@Mustang51 yeah I've seen it at Cosford and duxford, bigger than you think isn't it?
@Mustang51 cold war tag... hmm should I change the canberra into that tag?? :p
@Mustang51 yeah I agree, the website hasn't helped, and the higher you get the less spotlights you get as well.
My upvote is halfway down the list ;)
@Mustang51 thanks :) it's funny that it's this one that's highest on my votes, I built it ages ago so I know I could do better now but people really seemed to like it.

@CRJ900Pilot thanks, once again you got in before i could add tags or screenshots =)
@flyingsteve88 ah, Yeah, the roundels are a pain, i made this one for something else but it fit this, hence it's actually dated (stopped using that roundels in 1939ish)
@flyingsteve88 which circle in particular?
@ThePrototype yeah it also has some tornado in there (nose) and F-5 for wing / tail layout, a proper mismash =)
@Type2volkswagen yeah same. Weird. I had problems for a while with the front counterweight causing it to blow up on release but the booster behaved itself from the start. @ThomasRoderick exactly

@BaconRoll lol, i thought it was appropriate since it sheds so many bits =)
Use the mod to nudge all the detachers over, remove bombs, add torps to bottom of detachers, nudge back in, nudge front walls detachers and torps forward
@Mustang51 I've already made this and this that kinda do what you suggested. This one's going to be stationary to keep part count down
@RAF1 well it would get rather hot!
@horatio good, you could always upvote it though ;)
@Mustang51 yeah I was contemplating making a really small rocket powered interceptor launched from my truck. Mby a bit mad max type.
@horatio try this, might be more mobile friendly
@ChiChiWerx thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Saunders roe played with the concept of a land based rocket fighter post war but used a small jet engine for recovery to base. @CRJ900Pilot
@CRJ900Pilot help yourself, do you want me to send you them templates so you don't need to mess about detaching them?
@LiamW good idea, have fun.i was thinking of mounting it on a flying wing
@Blue0Bull thanks, glad you like my builds, thanks again for the upvotes (I'm enjoying the old flying boat genre at present so may be more to come)
@xXRaindropXx I can try, what part count can peasants cope with?
@AdlerSteiner the roundel wouldn't count as a letter so really it's wam! Which is the noise you get when those multitudes of bombs hit the floor :)
this =)

@Stingray thanks :)
As man, looks nice until I see the wheel placement, rear wheels are meant to be just behind the centre of mass.
A 3rd picture would have been nice :)
Why only 2 pics?
Looks good but the weird colour scheme makes it hard to see in the pics.
@QuickNils yeah I'm enjoying them at present.
@Stingray yeah I thought about that and surface mounting under wings but I like the bomb idea as otherwise the fus was a big empty shell. The real Sunderland had depth charges on retractable side racks which gave me the idea
@EternalDarkness :( I can delete the camo n some other bits but can't reduce part count by much. Only scaled bits are wing panels and a few rotators.
@Treadmill103 thanks, i hope you enjoy it, it flies really nice in my opinion, ive just been cruising around in in =)
