Her Majesty's Space Ship "Hood" 3.9

5.5 years ago
Based on some concept artwork on a basis of spaceships designed to look like sea going ships. This craft is equally happy on the high seas or flying through the skies at low or high altitude, its not howerver so happy on land for obvious reasons =)
Ag1 to enable extra pitch control for takeoff water (or land, not intentional but it works), turn off when you are airbourne as its more realistic (hmm dont know if thats an appropriate term) when flying without,
Ag2 extends and enables the secondary guns,
Ag5 turns on the searchlights,
VTOL and Trim for gun controls.
First person to identify the codes on the flags wins a hurah!

@Tankace1 no, just something I dreamed up.
Is this from the anime space battleship yamato?
@Mmdben that's what I thought :)
Cool.
Next i want to see a flying ohio/typhoon class submarine
mmmmm what a delicious looking hood! This isn't even a queen of the seas.Its the queen of space!
@Type2volkswagen lol you win.
I really like this! I come up with "Hood FTW" on the signal flags.
Proceed to sweeten the beans
Hahaha I’m glad it got past that. It deserves to be @ThomasRoderick
@Mustang51 Now they do.
@RamboJutter o, I see...
@MAHADI nah an yamato is based on the Japanese ww2 battleship of the same name, I based mine very loosely on hms hood
AWESOME! is this her majesty's YAMATO? cause it reminded me of the SB YAMATO...
Well that's a shame. It's weird when builds that look really cool and function well don't get like at least like 20 upvotes. @RamboJutter
@Mustang51 well 13 votes kinda says space battleships ain't a popular topic... you want a sneàk peak at my next plane?
Haha @RamboJutter
I like that one a lot so I’ll do my part in helping hahahaha. I need only a few more on my B-20A to make it my first one with 50 @RamboJutter
I love this
@Mustang51 yeah it's handy, if you put a lot of effort into something why not reuse It, I usually end up adding and changing bits anyway. Look at that last rocket fighter I did, the entire nose was from my tornado 2, the launcher was from a previous build but I altered it all to suit the new build. They are just an extension of the base building blocks :) now if only I could find a way to get 10 more votes on my canberra it will be my first 100upvote build....
Hahahaha well that explains it. Pretty neat idea to reuse what you can with sub assembly pieces. I have some ones I use in multiple planes but they’re usually just for small things that need to be edited a lot anyway. I’m gonna try this out though @RamboJutter
@Mustang51 not being at work at present, helps the designing, plus i had a load of bits stored ready to add. Dont look too closely but the top deck came from the egg ship as did the main guns ;)
Also how do you pump out so much quality work so quickly?
Wow this is incredibly cool! I love this idea and it’s just a plain old fantastic build. Awesome job
@CRJ900Pilot thanks, once again you got in before i could add tags or screenshots =)
