@typeZERO True, true. You could make another sub though, if you have the time and interest that is.
    .
@BoganBoganTheMan Oh boy...well I was hoping for big names to step up to the challenge!

  • [Closed] Submarine Challenge 5.3 years ago

@typeZERO Hey don't be discouraged from joining! If you got something to make for this add it! I want entries, and everyone who makes something that's accepted get's an upvote and spotlight so there's no harm to anyone who doesn't win. Besides Eternal's gonna join this so you'll have competition ;)

    @ACEPILOT109 Um....okay?

  • [Closed] Submarine Challenge 5.3 years ago

@Tang0five I mean submarines that use pistons with ultra buoyant blocks on the ends for diving. Diving being done via extending the pistons (which usually have range extended via overload). Compared to what I do at least it's a pretty simple and easy way toward making a submarine dive.

You should totally give it Anti-Submarine Nuke Rockets.

@asteroidbook345 That's why I like to call it the 'Blockhead' cruiser.

Very nicely made visually, clean lines and a very impressive amount of detail for under 300 parts. Flies naturally, being very stable and maneuverable while also punishing you if you fly it like a maniac (like I did the first couple attempts, but I figured it out!)

@FastRacer023 Wow, I mean this thing is fast but only by submarine standards! Must have had a lotta time to kill lol.

  • November Class submarine 5.4 years ago

There are two main methods to make a submarine dive, the simple way is to put pistons on your sub, use overload to extend their range, add tiny fuselage blocks with their buoyancy set really high to the pistons (using overload to set the buoyancy really high). You'll be able to use VTOL via the pistons to lower the sub.

The other way that I use is rather complex, but I have a guide to it linked on my profile.

  • Alfa Class Submarine 5.4 years ago

@Hedero As strange as it is I've never seen it spelled any other way than that. Must be from another language or something.

  • Alfa Class Submarine 5.4 years ago

    @fridolin Sky Park Navy.

  • Alfa Class Submarine 5.4 years ago

@Nonamepilot Reverse is one thing I've not implemented into my Submarines. I haven't seen a need or them given the amount of room present, and had yet to think of a way to implement it. However with FunkyTrees there might be a way or two I can do brakes so perhaps in the future.

As for my absence look to my post 'I needed a break, and I'm making some changes' and it will explain my absence, which has nothing to do with the pandemic and I am doing just fine.

  • Alfa Class Submarine 5.4 years ago

A very special thanks to everyone who has brought me to platinum, take this message and submarine as my thanks :) I've come a long way since my early posts on this site, and although I won't post as often anymore I intend to make the most of when I do!

  • Spectre Jumbo II (Cannon) 5.4 years ago

    777 parts, lucky number!

  • Bruh Moment 5.4 years ago

Oh hey! You beat me to Platinum! Nice.

  • Bruh Moment 5.4 years ago

@Gameboi14 Lucky! I only had around 80 by the time I grew out of the hobby. Sounds like you'll have plenty of inspiration.

  • B-90 Sarov Submarine (With Status-6 Torpedo) 5.4 years ago

@Jerba First thing not unexpected, second thing I have not seen it do lol.

  • Hr. Ms. Driehuis 5.4 years ago

A little roughness here and there aside, this is actually quite an attractive carrier design, the battleship style hull combined with the uniquely shaped flight deck gives it a unique look! The other little details are nice too.

  • Hot Wheels "Custom Ford Bronco" 5.4 years ago

Not gonna lie it's pretty clever to get a background via using a reflective hollow fuselage.

  • A run to Platinum at 41 knots. 5.5 years ago

@Gameboi14 Because I haven't posted in a while, and the last few upvotes just weren't enough. If not before I'll certainly reach plat once I post this Speedy Soviet boi.

  • Game crashes. A lot. 5.5 years ago

@trolman People still have that mod? Good golly that's been broken for ages.

  • Turiri GAH-2G Wyvern 5.5 years ago

Now this is cool! A rotator with speed control! This is perfect for use in my submarines, no more need for pitch control in the blades. So long as you don't mind I would love to make use of this wonderful subassembly, and credit you in the finished build once it's posted.

  • I needed a break, and I'm making some changes. 5.5 years ago

@Gameboi14 I wish you the best of luck!

  • Delta I Class Submarine 5.5 years ago

@ArcturusAerospace The yaw and trim control setup is unorthodox. Mainly exists out of a desire to separate their controls from those of the submarine. Thinking for any future Boomer sub I might switch to an inertial guidance system with rotators and gyros, get rid of the wings for something that'll in theory be a more stable and less glitch prone system. Taking cues from this cool system.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@AtlasSP Yep, you do not want your ship nor your camera near those once they go off.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@AtlasSP You mean one of the ASROC's? Dang I did not expect that, I hope it's alright!

  • stealth frigate-Ocean Spear 5.5 years ago

    Nice panelwork there.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

    @Tacoman92838383 Got a guide here.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@Tacoman92838383 Nukes are now possible without mods thanks to the cannon part.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@Tacoman92838383 If you need to download mods to download a craft then they will be indicated below the specifications section.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@Insmallsky Did that come off as rude? Sorry if it did that wasn't my intention.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@Insmallsky Well save it to a file in your pictures folder, and you should be able to find it via Designersuite's menu.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@Insmallsky Just took a screenshot, saved it, imported it into my art program (which doubles as a good image edit software) looked up the flag, copy image and paste into the screenshot, then position it where I want. In theory you could do this with ms paint. Text was simply added with a tool for adding text and a choice of font.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@Insmallsky You mean the US Navy Flag?

  • Missiles... 5.5 years ago

@RicardoAs1515 I think that would require first giving the missiles their own targeting, instead of basing all targeting on the cockpit. But it would be a cool idea!

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@Shippy456 Thank you! I tried to make it informative on this build's features.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER It's the phone version's physics :/ That's the only thing it can be. Just tried taking the ASROC launcher off and spawned it in to no issues whatsoever.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER If you're trying to run on low physics forget it, it's clear that high physics on mobile are equivalent to low physics on computer, and anything below is crap. I've tested it a plenty including on spawns that drop it in the water at speed and I never had issues.

  • Knox Class Frigate 5.5 years ago

@NightmareCorporation For the rockets it allows the cannons to be detonated after the rocket has been launched. For the Torpedoes it's me getting around a bug that's rendered my steerable rockets (i.e. the torpedoes) unable to steer just because of the craft weight. The sole connection of the torpedoes lies in the winches.

  • Controls for the rocket (without wings) 5.5 years ago

    An inertial guidance system! Neat.

  • Multiplayer mod bug? 5.6 years ago

I've seen a similar bug when seeing peeps take a submarine with a rotator-and-wing engine onto MP. The Wings (propeller blades) will be spinning far away from the actual engines.

  • What will be my next build? 5.6 years ago

I dare you to try to make the boat.

  • Spruance Class Destroyer 5.6 years ago

@THEAIRCRAFTCRAFTER Well I can suggest removing the VLS missiles (they're connected to four fuselage pieces of 16 missiles each) and maybe the RIM-116 as they make up a big bulk of the part count. Though I would see how it handles when removing the missiles before removing the air defense since it's imo the most fun thing to use for this thing. If you have to remove the 116's though you'll still have the Phalanx :P

  • Varshavyanka Project 1147 5.6 years ago

Not bad, pretty nice coloration and some pretty well modified bodywork.
