@Aeromen
Oh and give it far superior missiles as well since the default ones kind of suck. I'll probably give it Russian-spec XML-modded missiles. Also, since it's pretty much a "super-fighter" I'll also give it a "special weapon" which will probably be some ultra-long-range hypersonic missile with a large explosion-radius.
@Aeromen
That's actually my plan, to make an improved and better looking version, and of course make it more realistic (2 xml modded engines instead of 4 engines stacked into each other). But for 50 parts it's not that bad.
@ThePrototype
Actually I was thinking of doing that as my 4th and last entry into this challenge, but I went for my MiG-41 Firehound concept instead. But I do actually want to try my hand at a forward-swept-wing-tail-less design, similar to the FFR-41MR Mave from Yukikaze.
@Notaleopard
After flying it, I have to say it's a pretty awesome plane. Not sure how realistic the sound booster/music/voice jammer concept is but still looks neat, especially that giant glow behind the jet which I noticed also enhances the jet's maneuverability. Also, those twin lasers/guns are incredibly deadly.
@ThePrototype
Np. Actually it originally had forward-swept wings which made it look more like the ADFX-01 Morgan from Ace Combat, but I gave it swept-back wings since it's supposed to be a high-speed interceptor.
@CptJacobson
Sure thing, although I have 2-3 other planes that will come out before this; A modernized F-104 Starfighter, the basic F-36A model, and another 50-part plane for the Simple Fighter Challenge, and then this.
@jamesPLANESii
Eh... I don't really see it as a duck beak... lol
Although from some angles and perspectives, it does seem a bit off and rather small (it's best view is from looking down at it head-on, at least IMO).
@HistoricBirds
No idea but someone mentioned below that they heard there will be a special part that will allow you to launch from the catapult. I assume there also could be a tail-hook part to catch the wires at the end of the carrier, but none of it is confirmed, as I didn't see any new parts in the beta, just a smoother running game and the remodeled carrier.
@BaconAircraft
Also its unmanned. The F-36 design by default is capable of flying on it's own (optionally manned fighter) but this version (the QFX-36) is 100% unmanned (FYI just in case you though it was a COFFIN cockpit).
@BaconAircraft
Yea I definitely could of done a better job there. I didn't really add any pieces to the spine as I literally just reshaped it and smoothed it out after removing the cockpit module.
@Spacedoge12345plane
The canopy opening, boarding ladder, or the APU? If your asking about the APU, it doesn't really do anything. AG-6 + VTOL Up turns on the APU which is located on the right side of the aircraft. When your on the ground and press AG-6 to open the canopy + boarding ladder, you'll see a little air inlet pop up on the right side of the aircraft. That inlet leads to the APU (which is right under the little air inlet). The APU is basically a generator turbine that provides power to the aircraft without it's engines running. In SimplePlanes on the F-36, the APU doesn't actually do anything other than just consume your fuel a little and make noise to sound like the jet really does have an APU.
@ThePrototype
Thank you, indeed it is, and it will be even more wicked once I eventually make an official version without any limitations from the challenge. :^)
@Carbonfox1
Yea that would be sweet. The Aces at War 2019 Edition hints at a manned version. Project Aces will be adding 3 more original aircraft to the Season Pass. I'm hoping to see a manned ADF-11F RAVEN, F-3A Shinden II, and the CFA-44 Nosferatu. Just like the X-02S is an evolution of the X-02 design, the ADF-11F is an evolutiong of the Morgan and FALKEN fighters, so having the Morgan or FALKEN wouldn't be necessary as the RAVEN is better than both. Also, a strangereal adaption of the Shinden II would be awesome. Since Osea is a lot like Japan, the strangereal Shinden II could be an Osean-designed-and-built super-fighter since Osea is one of the only major strangereal countries without a 100% independently designed super-fighter. Grunder Industries may be in Osea, but it's still a Belkan company.
@Notaleopard
Lol
@redbear89
What do you mean?
Nice MiG-1.44-inspired fighter!

Also a new location has been added "USS Beast Catapult"

Also is it me, or does 1.8 run smoother than 1.7?
@HistoricBirds
I did, and I saw the new carrier and catapult. Guess this update won't be so bad after all. Yee

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
@ThePilotDude
By redesign you mean make it smoother, right? Guess I can give it a try.

"after you scale the Beast up, add a second catapult"
Wait, catapult??? The Beast has a catapult in 1.8???
Unsubscribe from T-series or Pixy will launch a V2 at your location!

@Spacedoge12345plane
It's a minor detail/feature you don't usually see anyone add on their builds in SimplePlanes.
