Great video! It's a miracle you didn't crash my drone considering how unstable it can be on the pitch axis. There were a couple of moments where you nearly bought the farm with the MQ-125.
Awesome aircraft! I had a similar idea of making a modern Cessna O-2, except it would more modular and an unmanned version would totally ditch the front engine and just have the rear turboprop. I also loved the description & lore you gave this plane!
@mikoyanster
Hey I just realized I forgot to move the cockpit part to the optical pod on the left side of the aircraft, which allows you to target & make accurate strafing runs. I moved it to the center when I was still adding parts so I could easily mirror said parts, but I forgot to move it move it back when I finished. Here's the fixed version. Sorry for the inconvenience!
It's incredible how far SimplePlanes has come, to the point you can make an incredibly realistic Main Battle Tank. Also, it was very satisfying watching those trucks and AA tanks get blown up! :)
@CptJacobson
Thank you! But I'm kind of already in a collab for a 6th gen naval fighter, and progress on it has been on and off. I think it may be my last collab & challenge-build. I'm starting school just around the corner and I don't need deadlines or strings to be attached to me when I want to make something in SP. I'm just wanna make my builds on my own time, at my own pace, with my own input & design.
The whole fixing engine cowling with duct-tape thing wasn't actually duct-tape the guy was using; It's a pressure-sealed aluminum tape called "speedtape" and it's a stop-gap measure to fix something until it can get fully replaced. Speedtape also can't be removed off of a part; once you put it on something, it's on that part forever, and you can only remove the tape by replacing the entire part.
YES!!! I never knew I needed this in my life so badly. Using the F-8 as the base for this design was absolute genius! That is one heck of a sexy fighter!
This has got to be the coolest hotwheel I've ever seen. This would make an absolutely SICK hotrod IRL! Looks like it would be mounted on a semi-truck chassis.
I have a light-CAS UCAV I made awhile ago. Could I modify it (to be more combat-effective) and submit it for this challenge? Are lasers fair game? Because it has a laser turret on the nose, but if not, I can easily replace it with a camera/FLIR turret.
@QuickNils
Correction: Hyper-velocity micro-missiles that use kinetic energy to kill you! :) aka the CIM-125 "Killspeed" HVMM; although they only have a range of 3-5 miles.
@AWESOMENESS360
I think it's from the gyro. Let's just say the gravity generator can get unstable at times... This craft is more unstable than the Tic Tac.
Woohoo 4th place! Thx for the challenge!
+1I'm pretty good at making planes, but making good liveries is my Achilles' heel.

Alright cool, thanks!
@mikoyanster
Description finished.

+1@Nobodygood
Thanks!
@mikoyanster Hey here's the fixed version of my entry. Forgot to move the cockpit back to it's proper place so you can properly aim & target.

Here's my entry. Depending on your time zone, this may show up as past the due date.
@CptJacobson
Thanks!
The beauty of experimental kitplanes - you can make some really crazy designs!
+2I've made a sharp-delta-winged paper plane once that was literally a flying needle.
+1That was so cringy.
+310/10 would watch it again!
@Nerfaddict
Yukikaze; one of the best air combat novels/animes I've ever gotten into.
I think more terrain, airports, or features on the base map would be nice.

+4Noice! Are you gonna make like a combat arena with spawning AI enemies?
What are the odds? Me and Quick_Nils were just collabing on a 6th gen navy fighter jet!
Is that an FFR-31 Sylphid I see on the thumbnail?

Yes it's very accurate, although my model is open cockpit.
Oh nice, I have a model of this plane!

Oh wow I can't believe he passed away! First we lost Jake, and now him!? RIP a legend.

+4Twin Engine Scarab, since it looks most complete, but we could use that VTOL Gunship for the Area 51 raids...
@mikoyanster
K great, it'll just be a video/FLIR camera turret then.

Eh, a little. It looks more like a beefy F-15 to me.
