Pavel Chekov is also the name of a heavy metal band. No idea how good they are, sometimes cheesy gimmick-bands like that are surprisingly awesome. Mac Sabbath, for instance.

Your abilities continue to improve, somehow. This one certainly sets a new standard for people to strive for when making replicas, and the part count is far lower than I expected.
I'll catch up to you one of these days, but clearly not any time soon. Awesome work.
Very impressive work on the fuselage and wings. Your choice of colors and textures also shows you know what you're doing. My only complaint is that you put the main landing gear in the back of the plane instead of the middle.
Thevsimplest vehicles I can think of are made of large, interlocking geometric shapes.
For instance, the F-102 Delta Dagger is just a pointy tube with a big triangle for a wing and a smaller triangle for a tail.
The Jagdpanzer 38 "Hetzer" is just a box with sloped sides all around on top of another box with the sides in the front and back. Wheels on the side and a cannon on the front. The simple, sloped shape made its thin armor much more effective at deflecting shells.
@ThatWeirdGuy The best thing about finetuner is its ability to nudge multiple parts at the same time. You can select dozens of parts and rotate or move all of them together like one gigantic piece, something that would take hours can be done in seconds.
For rotation, keep in mind that it centers the axis around the first piece you select and rotates everything around that part.
@Aidan551sq Seems reasonable someone would want to throw some weapons on it, and there was certainly enough lift to carry the exgra weight once you added the extra blades to the props.
The 104 unfortunately crashed into many, many things. Mostly due to there weren't many pilots with supersonic experience, but also a few shortcomings of 1950s technology.
The Valk was a special plane, I'm glad she never saw service, but I'm also pleased the prototypes were built. I think we learned a great deal from her.
Yes, @FastDan suggestion to use Overload is your best bet. Not only is it an extremely powerful and easy-to-use mod, but everything you build will still be compatible. No need for people to download anything besides your plane.
As for the XB-70 itself, the key will be testing, testing, testing. I recommend you fly up to 70,000 feet with a fast plane (800mph or more if possible), pause the game and Save the location. That way you can repeatedly spawn your Valkyrie there to test cruising speed at high altitude. The plane should fly smoothly at mach 3.
The other main details to consider are the adjustable wingtips, massive landing gear, all-moving canards, and the ability to land safely.
I've found that the easiest way to balance planes is to use fuselage pieces that (via Overload) are modded to weigh 0.01x normal weight. That way, the plane is very light. Then add two or three very heavy fuselage pieces to determine where you want the center of mass.
Doing it this way allows you to balance the plane around the wings and landing gear instead of the other way around.
Never modify the weight of parts beside fuselage blocks. Moving parts like engines and rotators get buggy is you mess with their weight.
@Zandgard I figured you just didn't know. I think the problem wasn't the subs, but the way the Kreigsmarine used them. Their bases were not very close to England at that point of the war and their intent was to disrupt the flow of men and supplies from the UK into France. A four day mission would require constant alertness and no opportunity for sleep. From the details I can find, the worst aspects of the program were the one-man boats, where drug-infused chewing gum was issued to the pilots.
This is a kid-friendly site, so I maybe I should retract my comments from earlier. Obviously, we can't talk in very much detail about such things on here. The sub was a solid design, just the way they tried to use it was awful.
Apple does not allow such modifications to software or hardware. This is part of the supposed appeal of apple products in the first place. There is literally nothing you can do short of getting a device made by another company.
@GreatHenry Pretty straightforward. I wonder how amusing it is for them. Seems pretty common among airplane games. DCS, Warthunder, Rise of Flight and of course IL-2 are all Russian games. "Plenty of guy for make talk like old Soviet type. Right comarade?"
@JangoTheMango Your point about quality is something everyone here should take to heart.
@Awsomur Noonian Singh, right?
EDIT- Drat! Spelled Noonien wrong. Well, I was close.
+2I recently stumbled upon your recoiling cannon designs. Very clever.
Pavel Chekov is also the name of a heavy metal band. No idea how good they are, sometimes cheesy gimmick-bands like that are surprisingly awesome. Mac Sabbath, for instance.
HEY! You working on anything lately? Don't see you around here too much.
@JangoTheMango Not if you fail to display that quality. There are many many many good builds that get very little attention.
+3@Awsomur Ah, but it is a Tutorial for Screenshots
@darkhawk138 You are a brave soul, best of luck to you.
Ask not what SimplePlanes can do for you, but what you can do for SimplePlanes!

PZL M15 "Belphegor"
@Sarpanitu Thank you
@Rambojutter Thanks for the spotlight
You should make a Soviet version.
@bomberhunter121 That's good! People don't know their history and it leads to misunderstandings about the current state of things.
There are many gaps and misconceptions about WW2 and Finlands role is one of the most interesting and complicated. In my opinion.
Your abilities continue to improve, somehow. This one certainly sets a new standard for people to strive for when making replicas, and the part count is far lower than I expected.
I'll catch up to you one of these days, but clearly not any time soon. Awesome work.
@bomberhunter121 Yup, Finland had one of the first independant air forces and their swastika roundel pre dates the nazis by decades. Good catch!

You have earned a follower with this one.
+1Deleted becuz: emo.
Forget I said anything.
Move the main landing gear forward, It goes in the middle of the plane, not the back. Otherwise, she looks great!

@503rdAirborneSoldier Youll be alright
@TheWhistlingDeath I don't think its posted anymore, it was called something like Carrier Designer
Dang
Happy birthday
@Dexa Nah, the fam gonna love it! Its a classic. At least it wasn't this.

"Your love gives me such a thrill
But your lovin' don't pay my bills
I need money
That's what I want"
Beam me up, Mr Scott
I think I could handle living on one of these for a couple years. :)
+1Very impressive. Looks great and such a tiny part count. You've got skill.
+1за родину!
Смерть фашизму!

Gorgeousness and gorgeousity, like a bird of rarest spun heaven-metal!
+1@DarthAbhinav XD
I heard @RailfanEthan doesn't like competition! XD
+1@ThatWeirdGuy Yeah, lots of friendly people.

Plz link to winner planes so we can check them out
@MrTaco Thats a very neat little car, but how about the PZL M15 "BELPHEGOR"?

+3Bell had some solid ground attack designs back then, definitely under appreciated. Good looking build, congratulations on getting featured!

@Rodrigo110 Sorry, I thought you were discussing IOS. Yes, mods are available to steam users. I apologize, you are correct and I am slow to learn.
@Rodrigo110 That makes no sense. But hey, it's your time, not mine. Believe whatever you choose.

@Tobydustin1989
A) Download plane with guns that fire through props
B) Steal the guns
C)Profit!
+3Yeah, gun pods were common. Never saw them on the Dauntless, but it does make sense.
