Replacing an armored purpose-made attacker with a multirole that is as durable as a wet paper... Genius move.
@Mercyaircraftcorporation Soviets failed? So, Su-25 doesn't exist? Or Il-2 Sturmovik? Also, technically, only Soviets actually succeeded at making a flying tank.
Performance are a bit extreme. You should, in my opinion, reduce engine power to get more realistic acceleration, and reduce brake torque. Other than that, nice build.

Step 1: land on USS Beast;
Step 2: taxi to the catapult to get the new USS Beast location;
Step 3: use the elevator to get to the hangar deck;
Step 4: shield yourself from destroyers. They will shoot you through the holes, including the rear where the collider is missing, but not through the hull.

@Tessemi you may disagree with others using your builds, but it is a successor, has changes, and credit is given, so this build hasn't broken any rules. When you upload a build, everyone is free to use and modify it any way they want.
@Nerfenthusiast there are catapult connector and arresting hook in game files, but they aren't implemented yet. A few of us have tried to add them to the part menu, but they just aren't there yet.
@randomusername it does seem to meet the requirements. I've already given some feedback to some competitors. Just make sure description says it's an e-fan and not a jet, and have realistic performance for that.
@DPSAircraftManufacturer @ThunderNova xml is allowed. Parts that would require me to use mods are not. Using jets to simulate prop is fine, but I don't see the reason to overcomplicate that much.
@CptJacobson it is not. It is a valuable source of feedback before the further development for the devs. Beta is not meant for you to have fun, but for devs to pinpoint major problems that need fixing before further work is done.
And probably some other parts and features. Current 1.8 beta is actually not even a real beta. It's just meant to test the effects of the new game engine.
As @Flak99 said, you need a huge vertical stabilizer (keel) near the stern (rear of the ship). Also, use vectored thrust or another huge wing to steer the ship. Gyros give very unrealistic effect.

@The3Box6With0AXOnIt unfortunately, it has too few parts. You should try to upgrade it. Add exhaust pipes, antennas, maybe even try custom control surfaces. Also, (friendly advice) main landing gear legs seem too tall and wheels too large.
First impressions (20min of testing):
Colors look more vibrant (which is good. Also, maybe it has to do with me being a bit tired). Also, builds with which I used to get 2fps (two of my large ships) now run at 6-7fps (major improvement). However, camera zoom seems to have become extremely sensitive in game (not in editor). I am also getting a glitch when I load the game. The terrain is not there for the frame or two. Mod Smooth Designer seems to be broken (I'm seeing the background color, but not the bubbles), and I'm missing the button for Fine Tuner mod, which I will further investigate tomorrow (it might have simply gotten turned off).
@ClarkSpernato it depends on the launch angle and starting altitude. You can also adjust burn timer and reduce their mass through XML editing to get them to go further.
Great looks, but performance could be much, much better. You have the wrong part of the tail moving. Elevators are stuck, and stabilizers are moving up and down. Also, acceleration is extreme. I suggest reducing drag via Overload mod to around 2000 drag points and then adjusting engine power to get realistic max speed.
@RamboJutter no, it shouldn't disable upvotes. I just upvoted to check, and it works. You can't see your name under upvotes, but the number grows by one.

+1Your post has been removed because it appears to have broken the website rules. You can read them here
You're using gyros to power rotors? Witchcraft!!!
+1eww
+3I mean, thanks for the entry :)
Thanks for the entry.
@SalemASaberhagen Thanks. I've edited your comment to make it more visible.
Comment the clickable link to it on the challenge post so I don't lose it.

@HistoricBirds do it. Devs should be informed of the bug so they can fix it.
+2Have you reported the bug via bug report form in the blog post?
+2No problem buddy.
@HistoricBirds arresting hook and catapult attachment are in game files, but not yet implemented.
+1@Chancey21 ok, I'll accept the King Air.
+1@Schiefensnarglez you don't. At least not yet. Parts that will allow you to use it aren't implemented yet.
You should remove the unlisted versions between your public upload and the last version by Xiaopapa so he gets successor points.

I've removed profanity from your post. Better than removing the whole post, right?

USS Beast is lacking a collider on the rear wall of the hangar deck. Elevators work great though, and sinking the USS Beast and watching it fill with water is fun :)

+2And disable detacher by setting it to Ag9 via XML.

+1USS Beast has reduced detection range. I forgot to mention that earlier.

+2@DPSAircraftManufacturer yes, but I don't see a point of that.

+4@RailfanEthan that, and "catapult attach point" for a catapult that is probably to be on USS Beast.

I won't download this. Might be a virus XD
+4@The3Box6With0AXOnIt ugh, it's still far below the required part count. It's cute, but I can't accept it. Sorry.
@The3Box6With0AXOnIt no problem :)
@The3Box6With0AXOnIt it is the second highest rated mod. Easy to find.
@randomusername I meant a prop in a tube. No need to overcomplicate it.
@AndrewGarrison hey, that's not a small improvement. It's literally three times better frame rate than what I used to have on builds of that size.
+4@The3Box6With0AXOnIt @randomusername no problem.
+1@The3Box6With0AXOnIt use Overload mod and disable collisions on parts that should go through other parts.
I must also say I'm very happy to see this update. I can't imagine what modders will do with all the new stuff newer version of Unity offers.

+1@RamboJutter it shouldn't do that.
