Example: Tapered wing with custom surfaces

How to create this kind of wing:

  • Have the leading edge block taper towards the tip;

  • Adjust the triangle block so that its front side is as tall as the wing should be thick at root and be zero units wide. Rear side should be as tall as the wing tip is thick and as wide as the wing is long;

  • Place front end of the triangle block onto the leading edge block so that it points forward, and align the point with the root;

  • Adjust "run" and "length" of the triangle block to fit the leading edge block;

  • Add custom control surfaces to the rear of the triangle block on rotators;

  • Profit.

I have added another block to the rear of the triangle block to get a smoother airfoil. That is recommended but not mandatory. Fuselage inlets flipped onto their sides are recommended for custom surfaces in order to give you trailing edge sweep by editing inlet angle.

    @EternalDarkness alright thanks but can I tag you to the one I posted with this issue?

    @CaptFoxworth19 try this one. Flaps are inside the black stripe under the cockpit. I suggest using multi-select to ghost the parts around them.

    @EternalDarkness do you have an example or like a build to demonstrate it?

    @CaptFoxworth19 sure. The trick that I use is leaving the fuselage flaps empty and placing wing pieces on rotators just ahead of the center of mass to produce flaps effect.

    @EternalDarkness sir can I ask for some help regarding a poblem about a custom flaps that doesn't produce lift and pushes the plane down?

    @EternalDarkness I see... but your creations with cockpit interiors are quite detailed yet amazing to look at. I’d say you’re really not that bad at making Cockpit interiors. With or without Tutorial, keep up the good work! Mate.

    @CropzAirlines no, I'm not quite good with cockpit interiors. I used to make them years ago, but my techniques for that are quite outdated. I suggest taking apart an existing build and spending some time studying how it's made. Pay attention to shape of the parts and how they fit together. Perhaps even try to copy part for part an existing cockpit as an exercise. Check a part on an existing one, make the same part, put it on your cockpit, repeat. Don't post that build though.

    Hi there! I’m looking forward to building a cockpit with a interior and I’m looking for a tutorial on how to make one and I figured if you happen to have a tutorial or perhaps instructions for it?

    @PositivePlanes you can either have wing pieces in the control surfaces, or have hidden stock control surfaces. I prefer the first option.

    Hewlo, I understand that I need actual wings in the fuselage wing, But do I need actual wings in the control surface? Because that's what I have been doing and my planes fly bad every time I do that.
