Try using Heading input on two rotators, one set to quickly move the pointer off center, the other, with the same input in opposite direction, to slowly move it back to the starting position.
@Zanedavid turret was very easy to make, as its shape is very simple. I had to change some dimensions during building, like width so it fits onto the chassis, height, width of the gun slit, and so on, so it took maybe an hour of work overall. Cabin and chassis were more difficult.
Shell follows simplified ballistic trajectory form its spawn point, which is at the start of the barrel. It doesn't keep straight to the tip of the barrel.
Velocity. It's the old input for speed. Input will go from 0 to 1 when the cockpit is traveling at more than 800m/s. It is still useable, and better for some things than new inputs.
@shipster it may have been fixed if I fiddled with it a bit more. I have attached three cannons and set the first-firing one to fire forward. They decided to assume a different firing order after that, so I just compensated with a "blank shot".
@DerekSP it happens to large and heavy builds. Solution is adding diffuseInetiaTensors = "true" to the first part of XML (before parts), but it will break all custom weapons. Alternately, adding damperMultiplier to the jointRotator and setting it to a large number may or may not help.
@lastv801 in the future, please say who built the original in description, as we moderators often don't go through the comments, and simply remove a build that didn't give credit to the original.
