Round the bow more and make the hull wider. Length to width ratio should be around 6:1/7:1. Round the bow by making it out of no less than five blocks in length. After that, go for the upper missile boat, in my opinion, although Osa (the lower one) is a great choice too, and might be easier to make.
@TheFreemaker it would be highly recommended that it's a successor, so I don't lose it. It'll be a month before I start judging entries, and who knows how many comments will be here by then. And yes, motor launch is a good example of a small combat vessel.
Nice work on the design. On the other hand, a lot more could be done on functionality. You can use Overload mod to set those Pitch control surfaces on wings to make them flaps, and you could have made the gear retractable. You can use Overload mod to set rotators to "LandingGear" input and to disable collisions on parts, so the gear can retract into engine nacelles.
@PyrusEnderhunter fast attack craft usually feature Oto Melara 76mm rapid gun or its equivalent. You can simply make the gun smaller. 76mm is still pretty big.
@FlyingManiac sure. If you manage to make them look and work properly, it'll give you some extra points in both "look" and "performance" rating categories.
@Blue0Bull if it's a combat hovercraft using a technology currently available, it's good. If it's not, you can upload it as any other build. Off-topic has no chance of winning. Some great ship builders have expressed their interest in this challenge, and a hovertank, no matter how good, can't compete with them. No use in giving me successor points for nothing.
Well, it's smaller than requested and has fewer parts. I might rate it when I start judging if I don't have too many entries, but it's probably not gonna score high.
@PyrusEnderhunter just keep armament realistic to the size and purpose of the vessel. Don't put 120mm gun on a 20m patrol boat. That would be ridiculous.
@LuukPlanes sure. Fictional boats are fine, as long as they are realistic. I don't want a square hull with 50 gatlings. But, for example, a fast boat with a 20mm on the bow and two 7.9mm guns on the sides is great. Or a 30m boat with four Cleaver missiles (missile boat). Or a large patrol boat with a 76mm Oto Breda cannon. Just fit the armament to the size and role.
@FGW2014 if you mean the one I just upvoted, you might want to upgrade it a bit. It's nice, but it won't really stand out amongst the WW2 torpedo boats and Soviet-inspired missile boats I'm expecting.
@Oski a dedicated combat vessel. Examples of such are various patrol boats, torpedo boats, and missile boats. Not a civilian ship outfitted with a gun. Although, if modifications are good enough for it to be combat effective (added armour, armament, and assigned a role in which it would be effective in description, a yacht would do. Some of the first gunboats were steam yachts.

@villulennuk thank you
@TimeTraveler go ahead. Everyone is welcome to participate.

@Planefun hmm, sad to see you go. Good luck in life.
@BarrettTheFerret no problem. I'm following you now.
Very nice. Good shape, great details.
Nice. But you could have given it a name.
@typeZERO You can postpone the battleship, or make challenge entry later. Deadline is 8th of November.
@TheLatentImage no problem. CT reminded me of this old jewel, and since it already had my upvote, I had to add a spotlight :)
@FlyingManiac also, first missile boats were WW2 torpedo boats refitted with missile tubes. You can go for something like that.
@Othawne you didn't? Yay, it's first again :)
@QingyuZhou no problem. Sorry I didn't comment, it left me without words :)
@FlyingManiac I don't think there were such vessels in WW2
Only for the best ones, in my opinion.
@FlyingManiac there were a few with unguided missiles.
@TheFreemaker why not? Anything that is considered a combat vessel and is no more than 65m long. Except sail ships.
@Pianoman that's great. I'm not very active there these days, but there are many great guys in that group.

+1@Pianoman nope, the link expired. I have replaced it now.
@BlazeInfinity sure. I will only judge one entry per competitor, but competitor can select which one.
It's fine. Everyone makes a mistake every now and then.
Yay, a first entry that meets the rules :)
@FlyingManiac yes. Just remember to remind me.
Maybe this one, or this one, or maybe this one?
@PyrusEnderhunter fast attack craft usually feature Oto Melara 76mm rapid gun or its equivalent. You can simply make the gun smaller. 76mm is still pretty big.
@Feanor you are a shipbuilder. Maybe take a bit of rest from the huge ones and make something smaller?
@MadBomber I know you can do it. You had some pretty neat ships before. I first noticed you on one of those.
@FlyingManiac sure. If you manage to make them look and work properly, it'll give you some extra points in both "look" and "performance" rating categories.

@MadBomber great. Make it amazing.

@spefyjerbf I could make an exception for you. Or you could go for a ultra-modern stealth design.
@ProKillaV12 link?
@FlyingManiac yes. It must sail and shoot.
@Oski it's not. It's a good start
@Dllama4 great. Can't wait to see your entry.
@Oski rocket gun is fine. All techniques are allowed.
@FlyingManiac sure. That looks nice
@ACMECo1940 no, because it's a plane. Boats only.
@PyrusEnderhunter just keep armament realistic to the size and purpose of the vessel. Don't put 120mm gun on a 20m patrol boat. That would be ridiculous.

@RailfanEthan lol, nope

@MEERKAT978 yes. Counter it with more powerful engines.
@Oski well, now they are submitted. Check if you guessed right.
Very nice. I love these old airliners.
@1918 there is no longer an 800 part limit for mobile platforms. They can download anything.
@MEERKAT978 they always cause a lot of drag
